I ordered these in a 9.5 because that is my regular shoe size but forgot dress shoes tend to run a bit larger (at least for me). I returned these and got the same thing in a 9 (as well as with the other pair I ordered). Like most of the reviews said, they are stiff the first few times but if you work your way through the blisters they start getting comfortable. I just wore bandaids with some tape on my heels for the first couple of times. I'm wearing these at my wedding September 1 and am using dance lessons to break them in. Zappos free returns / free shipping is great and fast as always!

I have purchased these locally and wasn't able to find them any more. These are higher quality than some of the more expensive pairs that I looked at. Zappos has the exact pair for less than I've paid previously and it arrived quicker than I expected.

Sharp-looking, high quality affordable dress shoes. Take a while to break in.

Affordable, high-quality dress shoes. They take about a week to break in, and if you don't have to stand or walk in them all day, they are acceptably comfortable.

Fit narrow as others mentioned, but I have skinny feet so no problem. The leather\'s a little thin and less substantial. Rocks do stick to the heal. I worry about the inner liner pulling out in time. It grabs every time I remove the shoe, especially if have sweaty feet. It\'s otherwise an attractive shoe. An acceptable shoe for the price.

Great looking shoe and in my size! Nice looking shoe and in my size - 6 wide! Comfort is between a 3 and 4 but sure this will improve over time.

Smart Looking Shoe - Good looking shoes… need to break in.

It's alright. I bought the same type shoe about six(?) months ago and when I compared this one to my prior purchase, it seems like this one is cheaper quality. The top is nice but the leather sole seems cheaper; not as hard leather as it should be...

Great Shoe - This shoe was ordered as a replacement for a Stacy Adams shoe that I have been wearing for a long time. I am pleased with the look and feel of the shoe. They did require a little breaking in but it wasn't too uncomfortable a time. I teach dance and need a good comfortable shoe that has a smooth leather sole. I would recommend this shoe.

Decent shoe, could be less expensive - This shoe looks great in the photo, but once you see it up close, it's disappointing. The shoe seems to be well made, but it is fairly dull and applying shoe polish and buffing does not seem to make much of a difference. The soft leather scratches easily, so expect to buff these shoes regularly, even after fairly sedentary office activity. It's too soon to tell how durable they are, but I take care of my shoes and I expect that they will last a long time. I'm curious to see what others say.

Great classic - This one is a classic office shoe. Not too much comfort, but its ok.

My shoes - Great shoes. Every year I buy 4 pair. I was some what disappointed last year with the glue in the lining. It did not hold down the inside lining. I could not get over how great Zappos was.

Great looking shoe - Looks very nice and am satisfied overall. Seems a bit larger than marked. Excellent workmanship and little to no break in time. I would buy this shoe again.

The Bostonian's Akron shoe is a very attractive shoe for the price. The fit is wider than marked and is much wider in the heel than other shoes I have tried.

Quality shoe - Nice look and comfortable to wear. I'm on my feet all day. I was happy to find a 6 1/2B on Zappos.com because they are hard to find in a store.

Great Shoe - Excellent shoe looks great with my suits and it's very comfortable, would purchase more of this brand of shoe.

Folks at my job that polish the floors asked me to stop wearing these because of the heel scuffs. Other than that, they felt great!

My husband just got these, and after only wearing them around the house for an hour or two, the finish has flaked away on one of the shoes (on top, where it creases). I'm hoping this is simply an aberration, and so we're sending these back and exchanging for another pair.

They are shinier than I thought yet would be. I have high arches and these don't have much arch support. They are hard to break-in. Been two weeks and they are still painful at the break.

The leather has a nice, high-gloss finish, but it is very stiff and "squeaks" when you walk. I suspect the break-in period would be very long, and the leather would develop unsightly creases where it flexes, so I returned these shoes.

The shine cracked and peeled! I'd have returned it, but I bought them for a special occasion and the problem didn't occur until just recently.

These shoes make more noise than a fat woman sitting naked on a vinyl couch. I really like the look of these shoes, but they're not the most comfortable I've had. I'm hoping that they'll soften up and quiet down with a little wear.

I ordered these shoes for my husband along with the Bostonian Andover -- both look similar. This shoe was attractive and fit him, however, it squeaked unlike any shoe I have ever heard before. If it hadn't been for the noise it makes, it would have been a keeper. He kept the Andovers instead.

Buy these shoes if you hate your feet. In sum, they lack padding and, frankly, just hurt to wear. If I had not paid so much for them, I would have thrown them away within the first week.
