My husband had to have a two pairs! My husband bought these locally about 6 months ago and they were comfortable right away, which is unusual for a dress shoe. He had me find them online and get another pair for when the old ones wear out! Zappos was one of two places that even carries them, and they were by far the best deal of any I found. Good-looking, supportive, and resist his tendency to pronate.

Perfect dress shoe for my 13 year old son! My 13 year old son needed a pair of size 6 1/2 dress shoes for his Bar Mitzvah and for those of his friends. These met with his complete approval, and let me tell you, he is extremely picky about what he wears! These shoes fit him perfectly and look fantastic with his new suit. As for me, I appreciate the quality of these shoes, especially at the very reasonable price. Thanks as usual, Zappos, for having a selection of shoes in a size that is practically impossible to find in local shoe stores. Even Nordstroms had no men’s or boys shoes in size 6 1/2!!

A comfortable Shoe - Very comfortable from the first day. I have always had a hard time finding a comfortable dress shoe, until now. I am very pleased with the Bostonians and with Zappos service. I had my shoes the next day! I would highly recommend the shoes and Zappos.

Great shoe - My husband has a very hard time finding comfortable shoes!! He originally got this shoe in black at the mall and he loved them. I couldn't find them anywhere at a decent price except at Zappos and they fit great also. He wears a 9.5 EE.

Comfortable Dress Shoe - I had purchased a pair of Bostonian's approx. 5 years ago, liked them so much I decided to get them again. Very comfortable, after break-in. Also have a pair of Alden's and they were over 200.00, not as comfortable.

Bostonian's Akron - My husband has worn Akron's for many, many years and needed replacements. I was delighted to find them at Zappos and bought both the Black and Burgundy for him for Christmas. Unfortunately, the leather was very "stiff" and they hurt his feet. Now for the great part. Zappos is SUPER. He had only worn the Black shoes indoors (but they were still worn) and I called Zappos to ask about returning the new and "worn" shoes. They took back both pairs and gave me a FULL credit. They said "They did not want my husband to keep shoes that hurt his feet!" Zappos is THE customer service friendly place to shop. We will only look for shoes at Zappos because it is such a convenient and worry free way to shop. FREE SHIPPING, FREE RETURNS AND NO TAX! We LOVE Zappos.

Satisfied Customer - This was a shoe that I purchased for my son who LOVES them. He felt that for style alone, they were perfect. The comfortable fit was so welcomed. This is the second pair of Zappos shoes that have satisfied the size 13 feet of my son. They will be worn for Sunday church services as well as any other dress occasions. Great shoe with class - A very flexible shoe that accommodates the foot really well. Also a very nice finish that exacerbates elegance and beauty.

Overall Good Shoe - So far I've enjoyed excellent comfort from these shoes. They fit just as expected and are pretty comfortable to walk in. Not quite as comfortable as my previous pair of rubber soled Eccos, but still, more comfortable than I expected. The only draw back is that the shoe is much more shiny that I anticipated. Other than that these are a great pair.

Bostonian Akron - A Quality Shoe - This is an excellent dress shoe. I have small feet (size 6.5M), and it's hard for me to find a great dress shoe in my size. I have worn this brand/style for about 5 years and when they wear out I reorder the same.

Great shoe - better than the Andover - I have worn Bostonian shoes to work for years and love them. My last pair was getting kind of beat up after about 8-10 years of every other day use. I decided to try buying on line because of the crowds and parking hassles at the mall but I wasn't sure what model to order on-line to replace one of my current pairs. I initially ordered the Bostonian Andover and returned them. They felt narrow and the leather uppers squeak whenever you flex your foot. I decided to try the less expensive Akron. They are great. Comfortable almost from the moment you put them on, nicely padded insole and a clean classic look. The Akron has a more muted shine than the Andover. I think this will make the Akron easier to maintain in the long run. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a comfortable pair of dress shoes at a reasonable price.

Johnson and Murphy cap toes- This was my first shipment from your business. Believe it or not, my order arrived within a few days of placing my order. The shoes fit perfectly and were as comfortable as my previous pair...I hate to sound like a commercial, but you have a customer for life. I can’t believe no shipping charge!!!!!

Excellent shoes, fair price, great service.

I originally purchased a pair of these shoes around March and wore them about four days a week. After about six months, the heel began to come off on one of my shoes. I contacted Zappos and their customer service team was extremely helpful in getting my problem resolved! Not only did they take my shoes back and send me a new pair, they also issued me a refund for the price difference that the shoes now were. I have since switched jobs and only wear my shoes two or three times a month, but they seem to be holding up well thus far (3 months in). The shoes look nice and the quality seems to be okay, aside from the initial heel issue with the first pair. I would probably buy another pair from Zappos, as they have gained my loyalty through excellent customer service.

This shoe is great for dancing, which is why I kept it. The sole is very slippery, so probably not good for an office environment.

Great looking shoes but felt a little longer than 11.5. The width was good (I have to wear wides and that was perfect).

These are nice, stylish shoes that look great but take a lot of time to break in. They are very stiff at the heels and the toe cap line but loosens after use without compromising the fit.

This is shinier than comparable dress shoes, really looks like a patent leather. It's great to have this option in wide widths, but it wasn't right for my husband's needs. He didn't even bother trying them on, so we can't comment on fit.

The leather is hard but some people like it. The shoes get softer during the day. I am not sure if my feet breathe properly as I am not sure if the interior is lined with leather or man made material. They serve their purpose. They are easy to keep shiny for times when you need to look neat. They support balanced walking and I am otherwise satisfied.

I purchased these for my son. He's a singer and so wears a tux regularly. These shoes fit his needs perfectly. As for size, they where a bit tight and I had to send back for half size larger. They are dressy but not overly so, just enough shine. The stitching across the toe box adds the needed character most dress shoes lack, which he really liked. Hubby wants a pair for work now. Very well made for the price. Nice sole and upper that should last for a while.

For this price it's a great shoe. A simple, lightweight, leather soled cap toe at a reasonable price. Exactly what I wanted. But... right out of the box there is a squeak. If you don't hear it, your deaf. Yours will be no different. The tongue rubs and due to the cheap finish it makes a loud noise. While they look like a million bucks, you get what you pay for. I decided to take a gamble and took out some leather polish, removed the laces and buffed the heck out of the tongue. Perfect. No more squeak. Bottom line is these shoes are great for this price point. Ironically I've purchased several pairs of far more expensive brands just to find they are either bulky, heavy, have too much "click" or turn out to be a little too ostentatious for the look I'm going for. These were just right.

Looks sharp and has the distinctive click-clack of a hard leather sole. Comfortable once broken in (but expect a couple days of stiffness at first). The heels are wearing faster than expected but this may be my heel-heavy gait.
