They replaced the old Mel with ''neumel''. they are made in China, not Australia and the quality is crap. I sent back 2 pairs. shame on Uggs for even putting this product out on the market. Where's your pride?

I totally agree with the top critical review. I've been wearing Uggs for 20 years and the drop in quality difference the last few years is incredible. I sent a pair back directly to the Uggs company (they lasted 1 week! My original pair from 20 years ago are still fantastic). They replaced them with an identical pair. I wore them out once to shovel snow and my socks were water-logged in 2 minutes, I couldn't believe it. You can see wear now on the soles of Uggs in a week, in a month they looked ancient, again the soles on my originals are still great. I sent back the second pair and the company never even responded, so I'm out money for a pair I had a month. And I've probably bought a dozen pair of Uggs. That's how they treat a loyal customer. Extremely comfortable and warm shoes. Better suited to wear with jeans. I would definitely recommend these shoes for the very cold, wintery days.
