I have been buying Brooks Ghost for 15+years for many reasons including the generous toe box. The 17 is the first time I have felt the tie box of the M Width was too narrow. So disappointing.

They slid off my ankle too much

The Brooks Ghost is a great neutral shoe for gym workouts.

I have tried several pair and each time there is a little difference in the ankle of right shoe. Like manufacturing

The heel was to tights with too much padding around the heel, last year's fit was much better would love to find the same ones I have.

I feel the toe box is very narrow. true to size. The narrowness bothers toes if i went up a half size wpould be too long. Colors are really nice Brooks neeeds improvements on designing toe box.

I have been wearing the Ghost line for several years now. Most recently I have tried the 16's and the 17's and was unsatisfied with both. My favorite pairs come from the 14 and 15 lines. The 17's felt closer to a true 9.5 than the 16's (the 16's were AT LEAST a half size smaller, I put them next to my 14's and they were noticeably shorter front to back by at least a half inch), but the 17's were still slightly smaller front to back, narrower left to right, and narrower top to bottom (the tops of and balls of my feet felt a great deal of pressure that was not there in the 14's and 15's). They also redesigned the heel tab/quarter panel area to be more like the "slip in" variety of shoes and the hard plastic support inside is higher, less flexible, and less cushioned that the 14's and 15's, causing a lot of pressure pain against the back of my heel/achilles area. I also noticed that the 17's were so much narrower that they didn't lace as tight as the 14's and 15's. It looks like my foot is bulging out of the lace/tongue area and I could barely lace the laces. I still have and wear my 14's and 15's and they are nowhere near this tight. In fact, I knew Brook's was "my shoe" because I never felt like they needed "broken in." They were perfect right from the box. But sadly, this release is "not my shoe." I may have to switch to another brand which I have been hesitant to do.

I can always count on Brooke's ghost shoes to fit me perfectly.

Some reviews I've read have talked about the toe box feeling narrow. I will agree that it does feel a little more narrow than my last Ghosts which were 15's... but I thought the 15s felt a little too wide, so I'm comfortable with the fit. These are my go-to sneaker and they will continue to be.

Overall these are great. The heal comes up higher than on the ghost 16 so it takes getting accustomed to that. Otherwise, I really like the wide toe box too.

These shoes are amazing! The cushioning in the heel is so much better than the other Brooks shoes. I love 'em!

Brooks has been my running shoe brand for over 20, first with the Adrenaline model and thereafter the Ghost. I love that Brooks has not followed other brands to offer only the big design of the day and continues to support and improve models we love and meet our needs long term.

I have worn Brooks Ghost for years. My favorites were my old Ghost 13 and they have gone down since then. This version is the worst, and I have finally switched brands because they are so bad. The heel is too low. The arch is too high and in an awkward place. They are a bit long as well. I wish they would revert back to the older fit.

Brroks Ghost have been my go-to walking shoes and these did not dissapoint. Good support and just the right amount of cushion. Highly recommend.
