Brooks seems to have really lost their way in pursuit of other shoe manufacturers. The ghost 16 was a debacle. This one, sadly, is no different. It feels like your heel is going to pop out of the shoe. The ghost 14 and 15 were great. Why did they ruin such a great line of shoes? I used to wear 100% Brooks. I haven’t in a couple years now. Tried almost every new design they have introduced, they are all equally dismal. It’s such a shame. Switched to ON Running and have been really happy with them.

I usually buy a medium width, and it typically takes 2–3 months for the shoes to feel comfortable. This time, I decided to order the E-Wide fit. When the shoes arrived, I was worried they might be too wide—they looked significantly broader than my previous pair. But after a week of wearing them, I can confidently say I made the right choice. This model feels more cushioned than the previous one, which is a nice improvement. As for the colors—they're interesting, but not particularly attractive. That's why I prefer the black version.

The Brooks Ghost is the only athletic shoe that I will wear. Love the fit and support. I do wish that they would offer more styles in the wide width. Also, that they would go back to the older version of laces. I have to double knot them now. Didn't have to do that a few versions ago.

I am happy to say at last I've found a replacement shoe for the discontinued Brooks dyad!! It took a while but these shoes work for me. No knee pain as I experienced with other brooks shoes. And I literally tried all the other styles Brooks had.thank goodness!!

Really good cushioning out of the box. I am a long time fan of the Brooks Ghost line. I buy a size up to accommodate foot swell when running or long walks.

the fit and size are great

Normally I take a mens 8 xwide. These shoes ran big. I tried a 7.5 mens xwide & it fit perfect. Lots of cushion. Very comfortable.

I first tried a mens size 8 xwide. Then I exchanged them for a mens 7.5 xwide. The 7.5 fit great. Lots of cushion. Brought several pairs.

The Ghost 17 is a very good shoe. Great fit and support with awesome looks.

Brooks are true to size. Comfortable right from the box. Only down side is the color selections with the size and width I need.

new to brooks shoes took a day or two to wear in great shoe 4e wide too.

Great shoes for walking, running and daily wear. Good arch support and cushioning. So nice to find a shoe that comes in an extra wide width, especially with a color other than black. Overall really pleased with this shoe.

Great sneaker for everyday walking, errands etc. Good looking & comfortable.

You can't ever go wrong with a Brooks Ghost! Super comfortable for older feet.
