This is a fun boot. I too found the fit to be really roomy which works for me since I can wear thick, warm socks. I am a size 8.5 and found the European 6 to be like wearing a US 9 with bare feet. I got the black and silver pair and have had compliments on them. They are pretty darn cool! I stand on cement for 6.5 hours at my job and although these boots don't have arch support, they are cushy enough with the thick socks. I am never in pain at end of shift. As usual Zappos, you rock! You provide great customer service. I always look forward to buying from you.

Great Shoe, Great Brand - Dr. Martens are already infamous for being fabulous so when I finally decided to get a pair to add to my wardrobe, I wasn't nervous at all, LOL. I just got them today, they feel wonderful on, although the breaking in process is blah, but I can tell in a few days they will be hugging my feet just right! No problems or complaints at all, except I would like to note (just in case anyone else has wacky eyes) I bought the green pair. In the picture they seemed to be along the lines of a turquoise green, but they are actually more of a kelly green. I love them all the same, but just wanted to clarify in case anyone else thought they were turquoise like I did! And Zappos, zappos, zappos... only my second purchase but this place is MAGNIFICENT! I really think most companies don't understand how wonderful customer service can improve your site to the FULLEST… most sites except for Zappos that is!

Love 'em. I ordered my boots on Friday and I received them today (Monday). They are so cute and I love 'em so much. I usually wear a size 7, but I got these in a size 6 because I didn't want them to look too big on my feet. They are so comfortable. They are still a little stiff because I just got them today, but when I break 'em in, they will be alright. But overall, these Doc Martens look great! Definitely purchase them!

Best purchase after being skeptical for so long! I'm so glad I scored the last pair of these beauties! At first, I thought they were going to look like clown shoes (I'm a big heel person, so for me to invest in a pair of Docs was a pretty big jump!) -- they are a little roomy, but just the perfect amount for any foot type. I never want to take these off. They are more comfortable than any sneaker, houseslipper or sock. My only complaint is they do squeak a bit during the break in period and they make your feet sweat. Versatile, comfort, and excellent quality. Will gladly buy another pair!

Happy camper!! I simply love my new pink (patent) boots. They are even nicer looking than I imagined. They feel very comfortable and the tone of pink is easy to match with other colors. I wear them a lot and have lots of nice comments. All I have to say is that I am a happy camper!!! Ciao for now!

Love them! They are so comfy! I wore them after a 12 mile run, my legs hurt but they were like slippers! I would buy these again.

Dr. Marten's 1460 W - This is a great boot! Looks good and is a classic. I bought them originally to ride my dirt-bike in, but have found myself wearing them quite a bit more than that. I have always wanted a pair of Doc Marten boots. I had a pair of the Mary Jane's when I was in high school and they lasted for many years. The leather was very soft and not as stiff as I had thought they would be hard to break in, but they weren't hard to break in at all. I also must add that Zappos is as always the best when it comes to super fast shipping. I have always received my orders the very next day. As a matter of fact, I ordered a pair of flip-flops at 10pm last night and tracked them a moment ago and they are expected later today... Way to go Zappos!!!

Perfection - How can you order a pair of hard-to-find shoes and have them at your doorstep the next afternoon? Shop Zappos! I am always tickled with the service and quality Zappos delivers. My daughter loves these shoes...they're the exact one's Miku, the lead singer of J-rock sensation An Cafe' wears, so of course that makes them all the more fabulous for her!

I had written a review shortly after I received my boots, telling how great they were & how much I loved them...Well after today I have to send another review...These boots are SOOOO AWESOME!!! I have worn them all day & have gone non stop shopping for a particular item I needed to find & was running out of time...I walked very fast thru stores & a mall...usually under circumstances like this my feet are killing me. But not today! By the time I got home I was still energized and NO tired or achy feet! I am still amazed at how great these boots feel! I will miss not being able to wear them when spring comes :(

I am a true size 9 and they fit well. After about a few uses the sole started peeling. A little disappointing but Zappos was kind enough to exchange it for a new one.

I like the boots, they’re very comfortable. Would recommend.

Fit seems alright, haven't worn yet but not as comfy as I'd liked. Love the look.

This is my first pair of docs in many years. I was surprised at the stiffness of the uppers. They wear fine, no rubbing or discomfort, but the stiffness makes it harder to get on and tie. Docs don’t have arch support, so added my own to these boots. Overall, I love the way they look, and the comfort is decent.

It seemed a full size larger than marked. had to return and since Zappos was out of the actual size my kid needed, had to buy elsewhere and pay shipping. sad. still, zappos return policy will keep us coming back next time we need shoes.

This was my first time trying doc martens. I am returning because I did not like the color. It says cherry red, but really more like oxblood. Also the leather felt very slick, like plastic. I guess this holds up over time really well. They were really well made, just not for me.

Love the color and this is classic dr martens…needs some time to break in but should be my go to boots after that

They’re beautiful and so trendy. However, straight out the box they are so stiff and take time to break in. If you have wide feet, I’d say size up. I wish that they came in half sizes
