Not comfortable at all while running.
The rear lip of the shoe rubbed against my achilles broke the skin.
Definitely not worth it.

I bought these after a 5k trial run offered by my local store because i adored the way they felt. Once receiving my pair there was noticeable discomfort on my lateral ball point on my right foot (the knuckle behind my pinkie toe). This is slightly common with shoes for me, it takes a small break in period usually. I have run maybe 30 miles in these since April due to pain avoidance and have just kept primarily running in my Hoka Arahi's. Having a race come up i decided to finally just commit to breaking these in and ran 4 back to back 5k's this week, modifying my gate so it didn't aggravate my LBP, and today, immediately after my run i have searing pain in my right foot at the oblique head area and am afraid i will have to miss my anticipated charity run. I know this could be due to my own anatomy but i wanted to provide a cautionary tale for bigfoots like me.

I was super excited to hear about a neutral, standard fit running shoe with a little bit of heel to toe drop (4mm). They fit as expected with exception to the new heel inserts which slip and slide.

My last 5 or 6 pairs of Atra's have began squeaking when walking and then tear wide open at the inner part where by big toe ball is. I'm done with them. I tried to stick with it because they are comfortable, but it's quite ridiculous how quickly they fall apart and/or begin sounding like rubber ducky shoes when walking. Unfortunately they are always just out of date for being able to file a return. Nice knowing you Altra, better fix these quality issues before more people abandon the brand.

Shoes felt heavy and uncomfortable throughout my run. Got several blisters in the process. Will not be using it again for my run. So glad, I still have few Altra Vanish Tempo I can use for my upcoming training. Always been a big Altra fan and unofficial ambassadorhowever this model is not good one.

this is the third pair of altra shoes i've bought in 14 months. i walk about five miles a day in them. unfortunately, they are the only shoe that keeps me from experiencing foot pain. if they weren't, i would stop buying them because they start to fall apart after less than 100 miles. these current pair have the same issues they all have (the heel is getting shredded), but the sole at the front of the shoe is beginning to erode, as well. i'm not doing anything crazy with these shoes, i simply walk at work and on sidewalks with them. i cannot in good faith continue to recommend these shoes to people. i will be sticking with lems. they hurt my feet but they are less expensive, last several years, and don't KILL MY WALLET.

What a disappointing shoe. Very little to no response from this model while lacking any spring or support. Shoe really does feel like you're running on a cardboard sole. Plus is the fit is great.
