I agree with other reviewers in that this version doesnt fit, nor feel as comfy and supportive, as previous versions of the Glycerin GTS. Its somehow more narrow, less springy, and less stable. Im majorly bummed that I need to start searching for a new plush and supportive running shoe, especially because I LOVED the previous versions. :-(

I just started wearing Brooks Glycerin GTS 21 they are so comfortable, so I assumed the 22 version would be even better these shoes were the worse I wore them for two days maybe a maximum of 3-4 hrs total my inner ankle is so sore never had this problem with any shoe. Go back to the 21 version. I had to return them.

I have been a loyal fan of the Brooks Glycerin GTS for several years. These shoes are terrible! I don't know why y'all messed up such a good thing. Go back to the old design because these shoes are not it! I would give this ZERO Stars if I could!

I initially ordered a size 7 (my normal size) in medium width. Before I got the shoes, 2 different people said I would definitely need to go up a size. They were absolutely right - add a half size to your normal. Got the wide width too. The cushioning and support is AMAZING. I got these because of plantar fasciitis & they provide such relief. Worth every penny.

At first, I thought these shoes were perfect. However, after wearing them on vacation, I now think the toe box is a little too tight.

These shoes were so comfortable for a couple of weeks. However after that time the thin plastic piece in the toe box started to bend inwards and rub the toe. This happened to 3 separate pairs worn by different people. Had to return.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but the Brooks Glycerin GTS 22 deserves a standing ovation. More comfortable than I expected, any comment make justice to the support from the moment I slipped them on, I felt like I was walking on clouds, the fire proof was this weekend, I walked more than 10,000 steps and spent more than 5 hours standing, no pain on my heels or lower back. The cushioning is luxuriously soft yet somehow still responsive. The GuideRails support system is pure genius. It gently corrects my stride without feeling restrictive or overly corrective. No more aching knees or weird hip tightness. The fit is snug but not tight, with plenty of room in the toe box. They’re not cheap, but your feet, back and joints will thank you every single step. I’m officially a Brooks convert.

I’ve been wearing the glycerin gts for years. The 22 is a huge improvement over the 21. There feels like there’s much more support. My only complaint is that the arch feels strange and even uncomfortable for the first ten minutes of my run. Other than that, I’m happy.

I thought these were very nice-looking shoes that felt cushioned and supportive, but they were just a bit too short and small in the toe area. I had gotten my usual Brooks size 9 wide but feel that recently Brooks has been making their shoes a little shorter. Had to return.

I had mixed feelings on these the first time I tried them, but they are growing on me. I think the cushioning is better than the GTS 21's and they have a lot more cushioning around the top of the foot. That being said, I think the extra cushioning behind my heels pushes my feet forward a tiny bit and I don't love that. I really like that there are lighter colors available in the GTS version. I always feel like the neutral version has so many good color options and Brooks skimps out on the GTS version's color options. I think the shoelaces are 1/2-1" too short but I love the quality of the laces that come with these shoes.

I am absolutely in love with these shoes! They are so soft but not squishy soft. I also have the Adrenaline 24 gts. I have had Hokas for several years now. I was finding that no matter which one I wore, my foot pain continued to remain. I had worn custom inserts for years for plantar fasciitis. They seem to do really well. Turns out I am now flat-footed, and my arch collapses when I stand. I have tried everything to stop the heel pain and arch pain. I bought these recently, and I can say my foot pain is gone. It was instant relief. I have been able to stand for a long time while teaching my students and move about the room. If you have foot pain, I highly recommend getting these. I will never go back to any other shoe. Thank you, Brooks!

I have worn the Glycerin GTS 21 for almost a year and loved them. I was excited when these came out in a nice color and ordered the same size. As soon as I put them on I noticed the difference in the heel/ankle portion. They just dont fit my foot like the previous ones did. Theyre comfortable when standing but when walking my heel slides no matter how tight I tie them and even doing the ankle lock. Im having to return them and I guess Ill look for last years style.

This is my perfect shoe, even the arch. My high arch can be a problem but not with the Glycerine GTS 22. I broke my knee cap on a run last year, and my HOKA Bondi 8s just weren’t doing it for me anymore. I needed more padding for a softer run. I tried a couple of other shoes, but Brooks won hands down. Thank you Brooks and Zappos! PS I wear a 7.5-8 in normal shoes. Hokas were an 8. Brooks ran small. I needed a 9 in the glycerine.

For a wide foot the E width was perfect. It is a very comfortable shoe, and helps a lot with back support & posture.

These are very supportive and cushiony like the Glycerine GTS 21, but they are just a little bit tighter than the 21. Just enough to make a difference since I didn’t have any extra room in the 21. If you are in between sizes typically then choose the larger for this model. I wish they would make the toebox just a little wider at the end. That’s the same as the previous version though.

I love Brooks, but had found Asics Gel Nimbus on sale so tried them. That was a mistake. These are far more comfortable and supportive. I only wish Brooks offered wide sizes in more than 3 colors.
I'd also recommend:

I loved the spring in the instep on these shoes. They are soft inside and work with my neuropathy. But the color all black in a wide is butt ugly. Seriously, I never wear black shoes and they choices were very limited in a wide shoe. I have to regrettably return. The adrenline gts24 works for me also and just looks better.

I have purchased several pairs of the GTS 21 and wore them out over the last couple of years. I was happy to upgrade to the Glycerin GTS 22. I have been wearing them daily for 2 months or so. But the older they get, the more I feel like I am pronating outward on with this shoe. I feel like I'm walking like a duck. And the shoe must be more narrow or something, because I can't tie them really tight. I took off running the other day and ran right out of the shoes! They really aren't on my feet that tightly, I realized. I pulled out my last pair of 21s, and even though they were worn, they were instantly more comfortable than these. The outward pronation went away immediately, and to be honest, they wore down much better than these. On the positive side, I appreciated that new colors were added to the "wide" selection. And I would still take a Brooks shoe over many other brands.

I really wanted these to fit as the look and styling is very nice. I am an 11 M but in Brooks, I need 11.5 M. However the 11.5 in this style put my toes right at end of the shoe so I exchanged for a 12 which turned out to be way too big. 12’s are going back.

This is my first Brooks purchase and I'm a FAN! I'm pretty specific and this is the right drop, roomy enough toe box, not too squishy soft but definitely cushioned but slightly firm enough to feel responsive. The softness of the heel landing plus the springy toe-off is as advertised. The fit might be slightly short, but I didn't want to size up because the rest of the fit was perfect. I'll be checking out other Brooks models from here!

This is a big step back from the Glycerin 21. I do not like the new cuff along the heel. It's bulky and it rubs the side of my ankle. The Glycerin 21 fixed some sizing issues that I had in the 20, so I am sad that the 22 is so different. I'm a loyal Glycerin user so I hope the next generation goes back to how it was before, otherwise I'll need to find something else.

IMO it's a big improvement over the Glycerin GTS 21. It's more comfortable overall with lots of cushioning underfoot, and I like the extra padding around the heal. The purple color is really pretty. I had to go up a 1/2 size from last year's model, so I would say it runs a bit on the small size. I started with my standard 7.5 and had to return for an 8.
