The Glycerin 22's are great.. I like the Glycerin 20's, almost a perfect fit for my foot. The Glycerin 21's I have, my only complaints , the height of the toe box was a little shallower so it rubbed on the top of my middle toe when I first got them. After I wore them awhile, the mesh stretched out enough that they were comfortable. The base of the Glycerin 21's seemed wider, good for stability, but didn't work well with the gas peddle and brake in my car..The Width, I kept hitting the edge of the break pedal with the shoe while my foot was on the gas peddle. The Glycerin 22's toe box depth seems to be more like the 20's, plus the shoe base width is more in line with the 20's. Works better driving. I am sure Brooks didn't consider the impact on driving of a wider based shoe. I would like to see more colors come in this spring and summer for the Glycerin 22.

I have worn Brooks Ghost for quite a few years. I recently started experiencing some plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I tried Glycerin in an effort to get more cushioning, and so far it has worked. I run 5 miles three times a week. I wear an 8 in regular shoes and usually go up to a size 9 in running shoes. I had to go to a 9.5 in this shoe.

Best Glycerin ever in my opinion. A little higher stack but not bulky, great spring back on runs, and great support while walking. True to size, my usual 9.5 in running shoes. Great lockdown and soft step in feel but not like you're running in sand. Highly recommended. Will switch off with this shoe and my Hoka Bondi 9.
I'd also recommend:

After ordering 2 other Brooks sneakers I ordered these and they are the most comfortable. They have good support for long walks and plenty of toe room. I wear a size 8 or 8 wide depending on the style, I got these in a wide and I am glad I did. I wish there sneakers were more stylish and colorful, I would definitely recommend.

I'm not a runner but I love these shoes. I have issues with plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinitis and these shoes really help with all the padding. My feet swell, so I appreciate the wide width. This is my second pair of Brooks Glycerins. They are great shoes.

I have been wearing Brooks Glycerin for about 10 years and this is the worse design. Brooks has taken a great shoe, one which I could take out of the box and wear for miles, and redesigned it into a completely different fit. For me, the comfortable cushioned back of the ankle is gone, the sole of the shoe makes a tap tap clicking sound on hard surfaces with every single step, the toe box is uncomfortable and squeezes my little toe. I am so disappointed!

Love the redesign. Felt a bit wider than the Glycerin 21. Color is nice. More of a dark, blu-purple instead of a royal purple.

First a note: I am not a runner. I'm a retiree with knee and hip osteoarthritis and an artificial hip, so walking is my major exercise. I became a fan of Brooks Glycerin with the 20 model. Tried 21s, but they had too narrow a toe box for me. The 22 returned to what I enjoyed about the 20s (I have 2 pair): Perfect fit for my 10.5W feet, with cushioning that cradles my various foot issues (bunions, corns, and hammertoes) and sensitive soles. I replaced my most worn pair of 20s with these 21s and am very happy with them. Will be taking them on vacation for long sight-seeing walks.

I purchased the Brooks Glycerin 22 women’s shoes. I’ve worn Brooks Glycerin , Ghost, and Revel in the past. From recent reviews I haven’t seen as many likes with the current Ghost type ,so i went back to Glycerin. I’ve never spent this much money on an athletic shoe. I’m not a runner. I just have a lot of foot issues and several autoimmune diseases that cause me to need Good shoes. That being said, I’m glad I purchased these. Even with my wide feet, the regulars still work for me. I chose the apricot color for a change. Hopefully, they will be my next go to shoe. Thanks Zappos!

I have a pair of glycerin 22 gts sneakers. They are a size 8 wide. It was time for a new pair! So I bought these new glycerin 22s size 8 wide. They are not wide. They hurt my feet.

I have huge bunions, high arches and narrow heels. I also have arthritic knees. I am not a runner but I do walk outdoors and/or work out on the elliptical indoors at least 5 miles every day. These highly cushioned and supportive shoes are one of the absolute best shoes Ive ever worn and believe me Ive tried a lot of shoe brands over the years. I do need the WIDE width however because of my twisty toes and prominent bunions. That said, I can be active and comfortable in these Glycerins for hours at a time in spite of my squirrelly feet. My one complaint: WHY doesnt Brooks make more colors in the WIDE width for women? WHY not be better than all those other brands that make only the ugliest colors in their womens WIDE shoes, if they even bother to offer wide widths at all? If Brooks offered more color ways in Glycerins for us active women with wider feet, Id buy more pairs.

The Brooks Glycerin 22 has great cushioning in the heel but could use more in the front. I did not like the shape of the shoe as the forefoot was wider and just looked odd to me. I am used to the Ariel so this design was not a good fit for me.

These run true to size.my shoe size is Womens 10 in most shoes and my foot is on the wider side. I love the glycerin 21s but I had to get a womens 10 1/2 or a mens 9. These 22s I got in a womens 10 and they fit better then my 10 1/2s in the 21s!! So cute too. The cushioning is great but it is much stiffer if that makes sense. Not as squishy as the 21s but these 22s are great still. Very cushy just different then the 21s. Also these are more aesthetically pleasing and look great in my big size Womens 10 .If you have big feet you know what Im talking about lol ..love they put a pull tap on the heel to make it easy to slip on .. Try them out . They are great

Run a smidgen smaller and narrower than 21s, i bought my normal size 9B at first but my feet were screaming just a couple miles in. I exchanged for a 9.5D, which fit great! The stiffer forefoot foam is a major improvement! Less pillowy, more springy.

These are my first pair of Brooks and I am so impressed! I love everything about them. They are so comfortable, the cushioning is great, the color and style are perfect and I have gotten so many compliments on them. I normally only wear all black shoes so this is a switch up for me.

Kayano are my normal shoe of choice. This one is comparable. Beautiful shoe and so comfortable. I wanted this one for my sometimes work shoe. Ultimately went with the slightly less but still highly functional 21 version as it was on sale for much less. I will be back for this one though. It is perfection.

So happy with my purchase! My first pair of Brooks were the Ghost Max 2 that I purchased from a uniform sale at my work (I’m a nurse) & the second I put my foot into the shoes I knew I had to have them! I’ve had Nike, Adidas, New Balance & On Clouds and nothing compares to the comfort & support I get from my Brooks! I still love my Ghost Max but I wanted to try out different styles of Brooks but thought nothing could compare to the comfort of the Ghost Max but I can now say Glycerin is just as comfortable and actually may be a tad more supportive! I’m flat footed and did end up trying these on in store prior to purchasing so I knew what size to order & how they’d fit (which is true to size) I’m loving the newer styles & colors Brooks is making and this neutral beige tan is everything!!!

Have been wearing size 9 regular width for years. Recent changes to Brook's toe-box (at least with Glycerin) made my last pair (Glycerin 21) much too tight on the right foot - I purchased the 22 model in wide width - and they fit like a dream!

Very light weight and comfortable. I put them on as soon as I got them, and then walked almost 2 miles. My feet felt like I was walking on air. I'm getting ready to order another pair.

The 22 has the final touch / needed feature, the hook at the end makes putting on the shoe much easier. The base is very supportive yet not too bulky, light enough to have good movement in the feet. nicely done. great for walking few miles a week.

These are the bounties, comfiest running shoes I've ever owned. I wear a women's extra wide 9.5, and I have flat feet that pronate. I highly recommend these. I just wish there were as many color options as the regular fit and ghost series.

It is a challenge to find shoes that fit and are comfortable because of my extra wide, narrow heeled feet. They are so comfortable for walking and with 71 year old feet, comfort is required.

Just commenting on styling, these keep getting uglier with each new years model :( loved my old Glycerins, please stop trying to make these look like Hoka shoes and go back to the more traditional Glycerin look. If I wanted Hoka or On Cloud, I would buy those but I dont! I want the old style Glycerin!

I liked the Glycerin 20, did not like the Glycerin 21 at all and really like the Glycerin 22 however the color options are absolutely horrendous for the glycerin 22, there are six colors and theyre all black or blue or white with no variation. The Glycerin 21 had twelve great colors including pink, purple and orange. Glycerin 21 had the nicest colors however not a very comfortable shoe and so disappointing about the Glycerin 22 that the color varieties are so limited and so drab and basic. Great comfortable shoe but terribly boring colors. What happened to creativity and imagination? Shouldnt have to choose between comfort and aesthetics.

As a fan of the glycerin line I have to say that the 22s are amazing however I do not like the color options. The bright blue is the only color I like and it doesn't come in wide, therefore I will stick to my 21s for now. I need a roomy toe area and these are a little narrow compared to the former models. I can't justify the price for a shoe that's not perfect.
