BEAUTIFUL STYLING, but sadly, exceptionally narrow, although I ordered a 7 WIDE. I was quite happy to see such a fashionable shoe in wide, but in the end was disappointed. I also ordered the "Kiki" Style, and needed to return both. It is unfortunate that there are few very beautiful dress shoes that are also comfortable, and fit those of us with wide feet. I typically wear a 6.5W or 7W, depending on the manufacturer, and in some manufacturers such as Clarks, sometimes I do not need a wide at all. This is a very elegant looking shoe, and appears very well-made. The inside is quite cushy, and I was very fond of the block heel. The toe bed is not only exceptionally narrow for a wide shoe, the toe bed is not very deep in the shoe, and I typically do not prefer to see the base of my toes when I wear pumps.

I wear an 8 W, but these shoes don't come in wide so I ordered an 8.5 M. I should know from past experience, the medium just won't work, even in the longer length. These shoes pinched my toes and were very uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, I could not walk in them!!!! They are going back to Zappos.

Knowing Trotters usually run small I ordered a 1/2 size up (9N) and still needed to order another 1/2 size up to have the right length. The disappointment came when I wore my 9.5N shoes just once and could no longer keep them on my feet because my heel slipped out of them with each step! Very disappointed and money wasted on a pair of shoes I can not wear. It seems to be a well made shoe and mostly comfortable but unfortunately the narrow is NOT narrow enough for me.

I purchased these for my elderly mother to wear to my wedding. They were so large, she literally couldn't keep them on her feet, and she's purchased 8.5 W for the past five years. Perfect look, bad fit.

After reading the rave reviews, I was very excited for these shoes. Heel height is perfect and super comfortable. However the width is really narrow. I wear 7M in almost all brands, but these ones were too narrow. Don't think 7 Wide or 7.5 would work either, because at 7M my toes were squeezed and hitting some front areas but my ankles were almost slipping (if that makes sense).

This is one of three pairs of shoes I'm returning because of the new removable insoles. They aren't properly fitted and cause the shoes to squeak when you walk. This is a big disappointment- I've always valued the way Trotters shoes were constructed. Need to find my new go-to brand.

I've got to learn how to use the review system: I wrote an earlier review mentioning how I needed to exchange my 9-sized shoes for 8.5s, which adjusted to my feet in 3 days. I'm back to adjust my review (which was labeled as Anonymous; I guess I wasn't signed in) because after little more than a month of daily use, the top edge of the left shoe (my smaller foot) has begun to come undone, revealing a white cord hidden inside to shape the opening, and the inner soles of the shoes have begun to slide out of position. These shoes are more expensive than I tend to purchase, though I've had shoes at a comparable price last at least a year, and I expected these to last longer than a month. Color me disappointed.

My second pair of Trotters and I was not as in love with these as the first. While the shoe is pretty, I preferred a suede wrapped heel with the suede topper. I hoped the toe would have a bit more elongated—but overall, I thought these would work. Once received, they came with removable insoles (different, unexpected), which when worn without, caused a feeling of wide, wobbliness on the sides. I had to hold onto the shoe as I walked and consequently, never worn them to the occasion I purchased them for. With the insole inside, the shoe felt stuffed with —too much sock and foot— not happy with tis pair— Returning! Still love Zappos!

These are sooooooo uncomfortable! I thought the trade-off to buying ugly shoes would be comfort. These are the worst.

I was so disappointed! They are elegant shoes, and I was finally able to find a size N shoe that I liked. However, the size 8N was too long, and the size 7N was far too small. I cannot concieve of why that should be!

I have returned these shoes because of fit and because the toe is too pointed for me. I ordered my true size, 7 1/2 wide, after reading all the reviews, but they felt shorter and narrower than true size. Since the toe bed is so pointed, I don’t think anything larger will be comfortable. I will keep looking.

I have tried to make these shoes work, but they hit the bunion on my left foot in the worst possible spot. I have used my bunion spot stretcher to try and remedy the issue to no avail. Unfortunately, I can't return the shoes because I stretched them. I also had to put heel pads in these shoes to keep them from falling off! I should have paid attention to the other reviews that mentioned that. In general, I am finding fewer and fewer shoes that have the potential to fit my wide, bunion-plagued feet on Zappos.

Both pairs arrived scuffed and were brand new. Terrible quality control on leather.

Very pretty shoes but that's where the beauty of them starts and ends. I have bunions and always in pain in my usual shoes. I have been eyeing this brand for a while and finally ordered two pairs, one in the black leather and the other in black suede. I ordered my normal 8M. I've been down that road with ordering wides and they never worked out, to me a wide is nothing more than a glorified half size bigger in your medium width. The shoes felt like HEAVEN for the first few hours, I was thrilled, HOWEVER, little by little the shoes stretched so bad that I was walking out of them!!!!! Could not keep them on my feet!!!! How embarrassing to walk out of your shoes, I couldn't wait to get home and toss them in the closet. I thought maybe it was just the suede pair so I tried the leather the next day with the same results. I'm not alone, if you read through the reviews for different styles in the Trotters line you will find this complaint over and over. All I can say is that I hope Trotters is listening and taking this seriously, its obviously some kind of defect and the sad thing is they are taking our money and we are left with I'll fitting shoes. Totally unacceptable.
