They felt really tight at first but did loosen up

They were the wrong size; they felt tight and very uncomfortable to walk in them so I’m returning them. They are beautiful shoes, sorry to have to part!

I loved the look of these shoes. Really really wanted them to fit. But alas, the cut hit right on the joint of my “bad” big toe; hurt the second I slipped them on. And because I’d ordered the WW hoping to accommodate my bad right toe, the heel was too wide on the left shoe. Walked right out of it. SO, great looking shoe. Just my aging flawed feet are the problem. My quest continues! Do love the ease of ordering/returning with Zappos.

Purchased these in the same size of Trotters I always wear, 8.5. However, these had a lot of slip in the heel. These were returned. The style is fantastic, classic with a touch of edginess (I got the lizard/snake skin). As with other Trotters, comfortable.

This is a great basic pump. It felt terrific in the toe box right out of the box. But every time I tried to take a step, my heel came right out of the shoe. The gap was big enough that I'm not certain heel cushions would have solved the problem. I have very wide feet, so this was a 6.5 EE, which may have been part of the reason the heel was so large.

I usually wear a 9M, the M only because of a bunion. The 9m was too short so I ordered a 9.5m and the heel kept slipping so then I ordered a 9.5N and I have been wearing them around the house with no problem. I have show stretchers so if I have problems with the bunion area I can fix it. Love the lookthough.

I ordered an 8.5 N, my normal size, and my foot barely squeezed in to these. The shoe is really cute, and I like the shiny heel with the suede, but I am going to try for a 9 or perhaps even 9.5 N. If I can find the right length, the heel on these is the perfect height for look and comfort.

Loving these shoes. Look and feel very nice, heel hight is just right. Look excellent with pants or skirts/dresses. The navy color is a nice blue, not too light - but definately not a traditional deep navy.

I’ve been looking for a pump that can be worn to work and occasionally after work. Although I purchased a 9.5W (my normal size) the shoe was not wide enough. I have wide, flat feet and this shoe cut the top of my foot. The front of the shoes were too narrow, squashing my toes. Guess my pursuit of the “right” pump is still on.

While I say this shoe is true to size, based upon reviews, I ordered a 1/2 size smaller than my normal size 9W and they fit perfectly. This shoe is very cushiony, comfortable & smart looking. My only concern is that if the heel loosens up the slightest, I won't be able to keep it on my foot.. a problem when you have a wide foot & a narrow heel. I'll need to wear them around the house a bit more to determine if I'm going to keep or return them.... however I would still recommend this shoe.

So disappointed even in a N, they didn't fit my skinny foot. Really cute and comfortable.

Had to return the size 9 W shoes I originally ordered to purchase 8.5 Ws, as the 9s were clearly too long for my usually 9 / 9.5 feet. The 8.5s felt very tight around the toes at first, but adjusted to a comfortable fit within 3 days of wearing. My left foot tends to slip out of the heel of whatever dress shoe I'm wearing, and these are no exception, despite the smaller size.

Actually, these shoes are not grey - they are sliver. This was unexpected. I ordered them for my business suits, so now not sure I should keep them now, not a very business color. Other than that, shoes are good, fit and feel as expected.

I have ordered several pair of black dressy pumps these finally fit IF you take out the extra inset which is unnecessary. The remaining footbed is finished and padded normally. I don’t understand the need for the insert and it makes the shoe too small. I would have liked a more sculpted heel but these are ok and comfortable for a cocktail party/dancing evening. UPS will probably be surprised I stopped returning Zappos boxes

These are nice looking shoes. Unfortunately, they felt narrower than any other of my shoes. I have a medium to wide foot so these shoes should fit a person that has a medium or medium to narrow foot. They were returned.

This is a nice looking shoe. The size what right, but the width was a little snug. If I went a half size larger, the shoe would have been too long. They are being returned.

The shoes, though beautiful, were tight in the toe and slipped in the heel. Usually Trotters fit me well!

These were by far the most comfortable heels I have ever tried on-- great support, great cushioning...HOWEVER...there was a ton of extra material on the upper part of the shoe. With my foot all the way in the shoe, there was a gap so big I could stick several fingers between the top of my toes and the shoe. Looked very strange because of this extra material, so had to return them. Very disappointed.

Very comfortable. Shoe had more of almond/rounded toe - rather than a pointy toe. Wish it would have gone with my dress.

The heel was too wide for the shoe, causing it to slip. I returned them and found a similar pair in a store that had a better fit.
