I was so excited when the boot arrived. The color & style were great. However, the minute I tried them on there was no doubt that they were too wide and my heel slipped badly. Does anyone make a true narrow shoe anymore? Most of the companies have changed the shoe width and narrow isn't narrow anymore.

I love this boot, but I've had problems with the zipper. I bought a pair and within a few weeks the zipper on the left boot got stuck in the up position. The boot was replaced for free, but a year later the zipper on the new left boot broke in the up position as well. The zipper design needs to be fixed.

Really cute but soooo narrow. Even though I got extra wide witch my toes were so pinched I couldn't put them on.

I have a wide foot and ordered a 9.5 EE and I could tell as soon as I took them out and looked at them they were going to be to narrow. Way to tight to bad because I really like them. You asked me to rate comfort but I wouldn't know because I couldn't wear them.

Dark taupe is a super weird color. I have narrow feet and took a chance on the medium - too wide, heels slip as I walk. Probably would have sent them back because of the ugly weird taupe color anyway

Nice appearance, but not well designed. The extra wide boot had a base sole of narrow to regular width. This has become a problem with other manufactures as well. I need an extra wide base on an extra wide shoe for comfort and safety.

I usually wear 8.5 but ordered a 9. Too small, maybe even by a full size.

I had to size up 1.5 sizes to get a decent fit, but then the fabric was very loose on the EE, which I need for my AFOs.

The Good first: The shoes are well made, the arch support is better than average, the leather is soft, the heel is just the right height. I can actually get my feet into the shoes. This is the first pair of something like five pairs I've had shipped to me and had to return because of my foot problems, that I've been able to keep. The not so good: I wore the shoes only around the house, to make sure I could break them in and they would work for me. Unfortunately, cleaning up the kitchen, evidently a couple drops of olive oil dropped on the right shoe, and there was a very bad, visible stain! I've never had that happen with leather shoes. Research showed only very expensive leather cleaner that MIGHT work, to be shipped from England! And of course I didn't feel I could send them back. However, with some trial and error, I have pretty much covered up the big oil spots. I found some expensive brown boot creme from years ago when I had some "oxblood" brown boots, and have spent three sessions covering the shoes with the creme, letting them sit all night, then buffing. You can hardly see the stain unless you know to look for it. Now, what I considered the "bad and ugly" and that is the color of the boots before I started the polishing regime. They were nothing like the color on the screen, and not what I think of as "dark red" or a dark reddish brown color. They were actually sort of a pinkish purple. I felt as if I were wearing a clown costume! I thought of having them died, but that's expensive. However, if I keep on using the polish -- probably every single night, it covers up the purple and they look more like the photo, and more neutral. If you look up close, where the polish gets thin, the pinkish color peeps through, but really isn't that visible. I found the original color to be very delicate. After only one day of very careful, indoor wearing and no chance to rub against anything, around the back seam, the color was already wearing. That shouldn't happen without a lot of wear, and no polish! I am a little worried that the nice tricot lining will keep the leather from stretching as I need it to for the boots to become really comfortable. I am stretching them, and am going to try the alcohol and water trick, but don't know if it will work through the tricot. Let's hope! I really want these to be comfortable. I couldn't find a style of bootie I really liked in my size, which has to be WW, and not too long in the toes, so these are a compromise, but I'm giving them a chance and all the help I can!

I really wanted this boot to fit. So pretty the dark red. I wear a Wide. But it is narrower than what Wides run. The WW fit, but too loose in the heel. Just need some tweeking. As I said, beautiful boot.

I ordered the dark "red." It was a hideous dark pink (and I like pink, but this is really not dark red and ugly). Wait until the red goes on clearance, then get it. Good fit, cute style/

Too narrow at the widest part of the foot and too big in the heel for a narrow shoe. It seems like a thick insole was added to a medium width shoe.

Very difficult to put them on because it is pictured with two zippers on each boot but only one is a working zipper

Gorgeous boots but too small. I did order the next size up in exchange but they sent me the same size again and then told me they were out of the size I asked for (so why did they send the same size you may ask ?)!. I've never worn larger than an 8 before so this sizing is definitely off .

Left heel is loose--right heel is fine. For this price, I expected real leather. Silly me. And, wish I had known these were made in China--would NOT have ordered them. What happened to the days when Trotters were made in the USA! Would have paid more for them.

UGH!!! Right out of the box I hated these boots. The brown boots look like they are made of plastic! I honestly cannot tell if they are made of leather or microfiber material. I ordered a size 8N and they are very tight with a sock, felt like a whole size too small. For the price of these boots I do NOT recommend them.

Fake Zipper! Only the inside zipper actually opens the other is for looks only. I wear a 10.5W but have a high instep with issues getting my foot into many boots, so when I saw a boot style with 2 zippers I thought this SHOULD be perfect allowing me to get my foot into the boot. A huge disappointment when I opened the box and realized only 1 of the zippers actually opened and I couldn't get my foot into the boot due to the sharp angle. Since I can't submit a review without a rating for every category, it seemed fair to I gave the boot a medium comfort rating for something I couldn't even get my foot into. Luckily I also ordered Softwalk Wesley which had a zipper and an elastic gore that allowed my foot into the boot.

I bought 3 pairs of boots at the same time. I kept the Rockports and the Dr. Scholls but had to return these. I got both shoes on, however, could only zip one of them up! Not a good look. For a wide shoes, makes sense if the ankle is a bit wider as well. just a thought....

This is a very stylish and comfortable flat boot, but I paid full price for them and st well over $100 bucks they should be lasting much longer! I have only been wearing them a few months and the runner bottom is pulling away at the toe and the chunky heel is wearing down. I am not at all hard on shoes and often keep them for years. I felt like I was purchasing a quality boot but I am very disappointed in how they are wearing! Too bad cuz they are exactly what I wanted!
