I have been very pleased with this purchase. It is very difficult for me to find dress shoes that are comfortable. I love these shoes. I know that they aren't the most stylish but I go for comfortable first. I will definitely purchase this style in another color.

These are comfortable and attractive enough to wear every day at my office. I ordered a size 8W, and they fit perfectly. I often attend business lunches and meetings and these shoes stay comfortable and look perfect with skirts and dresses.

Needed shoes instead of my normal sandals for my travels up North. They are plain, but that is an okay change for me. Nice, comfortable sensible shoe that has a subtle design touch. I normally wear an 8.5, but it was just a little small. It probably will stretch out, but I did not want to break them in. The second pair I ordered was a 9.0, but the left foot heel was way too big. The third pair I ordered size 9.0 was exactly what I needed. I felt like Goldilocks and thankfully Zappos has a wonderful return policy.

Very comfortable and a nice change from flats. The heel is narrow enough that I don't need to use heel savers.

I ordered the 7N due to having a very narrow heel. This pair did not fit my foot, because too tight through the forefoot and heel was not narrow enough. Had nice padding in the ball of foot and heel was comfortable height. Disappointed I'm having to return.

I have such a hard time finding shoes narrow enough. I love the trotters Doris. The heel is just right and brown is so hard to find. Love them.

Nice looking leather. Low heel for walking. Fits well. I wish the sole was more padded. Looks good with skirts and pants. I am happy with the shoes.

Fit true to size, very comfortable so far. I have yet to wear them for an entire evening though. Well made!

I have purchased these shoes in four different colors over the last couple of years. They fit well and are very comfortable from the start - no breaking in time. They look nice when I dress them up with a skirt or dress. I wear an 11N and they are true to size. Of all the dress shoes that I have, these are the most comfortable by far.

I don't have particularly wide feet (usually a b-width) but these were too snug in the toe area but they are gorgeous, soft, shoes. Didn't work for me but perhaps you'll have better luck.

I have very wide feet and bunions, so it is hard to find comfortable dress shoes. I usually end up ordering at least a size too big to fit my wide feet, but 7.5 WW (my true shoe size) in these Trotters feels great!

I've purchased numerous pairs of Trotters in my size 8 and have always been extremely satisfied with the fit. The Trotters Doris did not fit into this category. The shoe is a tad short in length. Thanks to Zappos I will return them and re-order in an 8 1/2 size. Hopefully this will solve the fit.

These run narrow. I have wide feet. I should have ordered a wider size. These shoes are beautiful. I love the detail on the vamp.

I had purchased this shoe in a different color a few years ago for a wedding, and they were the most comfortable shoes ever! So, when I needed a black pair, I bought these from Zappos, great service, as usual!

I love this shoe! It's very comfortable and provides good stability. BUT, the only problem is the various colors and sizes seems to be made in different worlds. An 11.5W fits in one color, but a 12WW fits in another. In yet another the 11.5W is too short and the 12W is too long. It's a bit frustrating to keep ordering and returning until I get the right fit, although I will say it's worth it.

I have these in medium width and they stretched out. Thought I'd try the narrow width and they seem to be all around too tight (including length). I didn't wear them and will be sending them back for medium width.

This is a great shoe. Good looking and very comfortable, good support. Am returning it for another color. Fits a 10 narrow perfectly.

I love these shoes; they fit perfectly. It's very difficult finding shoes in my town because I wear a AAA width. There is one shoe store I can purchase shoes from but they usually have to order them. This style is just perfect. I wish the company would make it in Red.

Love the look of the shoe however I am an 8.5N and the shoe is too narrow across the front of the foot. Heel was great no slipping!

The Trotters Doris that I purchased recently are extremely comfortable and fit perfectly. I have had a black pair of the same shoe for a few years and have enjoyed wearing them.

A very nice looking dress shoe as I don't wear high heels anymore. My only complaint would be that it wasn't extremely comfortable as I had to stand at event for awhile.

Cute shoe! Good construction. Exactly what I was looking for. It does run small. Other reviewers have said that it runs large. Maybe their sizing isn't consistent. I ordered the 12N. It is snug on my toes. They may stretch being leather? I haven't decided if I'm keep them yet. I would recommend this shoe.

Wore these today for the first time to the office. Went out for lunch and again after work and walked a lot. No pain! All gain! They started off a bit snug, but quickly conformed. Love the slightly Euro vibe! Great with pants.

I have wide feet and these felt comfortable as soon as I put them on. I tried 8 medium too narrow but the 8 wide are perfect. I also bought sandals and they were true to size too.

This is my second pair of this same shoe. My first pair lasted many years through all kinds of weather. I would like to see more shoes that are just plain career shoes without buckles, beads, etc and also just plain professional flats with real soles and not rubber looking soles and heels.
