These are probably the most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever worn. I will definitely be using on a regular basis.

So far so good. Bought them hiked roughly 10 miles in Arizona. No issues, thanks for having standards.

Love the Keen brand. Would be 5 star but not liking the shorter shoe lace. Bean counters always find their way to influence overall quality

Ive owned 4 or 5 targgee 2and 3 but have always had a problem with the soles delaminating eventually before the shoe wears out so I was just about to go elsewhere to find a shoe that would work for me-until Keen came out with this new Targgee 4 that supposedly has that problem solved-so i bought a pair and will see how long they last. Im willing to do that because I love the way they fit and look:-).

Bought a size 10 and fits perfectly . I like the toe freedom best and didnt order a wide. Wore them three times and feel broken in . But I must add the Newport H2 is the perfect sport/water sandal made. Keen makes some of the best shoes .

Like the new bonding technology and even though the shoe is not heavy, I have excellent support. Just make sure you pull the tongue out and over the shoe upper before you lace them up. If you place the tongue under the shoe upper the piping on the edge of the tongue will rub a raw spot on the top of your foot

One of the few shoes that I can use right out of the box, I dont need to break them in for comfort.

I've been wearing Keen Newport sandals for many years. The leather ones are great. Comfortable, true to size, and of consistent quality, has been my experience. I was hoping for the same results with the Targhee IV. They fit well, appeared to be well made, but the right shoe had an issue with the arch, which felt a bit higher than that of the left, and there was a ridge than ran laterally across it, making it uncomfortable to walk in. The left shoe was fine. May be just a fluke, but I opted to return for a refund, and bought a different shoe.

I have tender feet. I love Keen's. This would have been my third set of Targhees. I went with the "new and improved" IV. I found them very uncomfortable for my feet, so I returned them and found a pair of IIs which I love.

Two main issues:
1) Innersole not very comfortable/soft. Sensitive of what you are walking on.
2) Outsole is plastic like. Not the traditional rubber with a good grip. concerned with slipping. Feels very thin which I feel contributes to the ill comfort of the innersole.
I own prior versions of the Targhee and am very happy them. I liked the looks of this new updated version but I returned them for those reasons I stated.
Too bad Keen changed these important features.
