Best marathon and long distance training partner ever made. This shoe is the goat, please don't ever change the midsole. The upper could use a little work, kinda puffy and weirdly warm? Just got back from 12 miles, and this shoe made it feel like much less. Wear after 100 plus miles is nil. The shoe protects my reconstructed knee better than anything else on the market, and somehow is still kinda fun, keep it up brooks. Now all I want is a 40 gram lighter version with the exact same midsole feel.

Very fun shoe to run in. Very comfortable for easy long runs. One of my favorites. My only downside was getting caught running in the rain with them. While very breathable in dry conditions, the material does absorb water so it made them heavy when wet. So for sure not your go-to rain shoes but for everything else very good shoe.

Mid 50's. Required to run for occupation. I love these shoes. Been wearing Glycerin's for well over a decade. Now where Glycerin Max as well for runs on black top and pavement. My knees just feel better in these shoes. I avoid hard surfaces if I do not have these shoes. They are not "fast" but that is not the point for these shoes. They are like supportive pillows. Also, Brooks has just been a great company to work with if I ever have a problem. I buy them direct from Brooks to cut out any middle company (you know who I am talkng about).

I absolutely love my Glycerin Max. I had hallux rigidus toe surgery (large toe fusion). These are the only shoes I can wear. I bought mutliple pairs. The sole is the stiffist out there with a rocker toe, but the cushion is perfectly amazing without losing support. My only critique is I wish it was a little wider in the shoelace area, and that the laces lined up symmetrically instead of at an angle. The tongue seems to always slip to the side. But please please please keep making these with same stiffness, thickness and rocker toe, and please continue to add new colors. I would love to see an all white shoe and a white shoe with black and tan accents. Thanks.

Fantastic mixture of protection and propulsion. The show is soft enough for recovery running, while having enough energy for picking up the pace a bit. The show doesn't feel heavy on foot, despite its appearance. Honestly one of the most versatile shoes I've used. My only suggestion would be to remove the forefoot midsole cupping in the next version. It's soft enough that it broke in and doesn't bother me anymore, but wide-footed individuals may experience discomfort on the outsides of their forefoot.

I did a lot of research on a good training shoe. I looked at Adidas, Nike, and Saucony. The Brooks Glycerin Max best fit my need. I recently started training for a marathon in October. Going from 2 days of running to 5+ days a week, I needed a more cushioned shoe since I have old ankle and knee injuries that flare up on long runs. I have been using the Glycerin Max for a 6 weeks and I am very pleased with the support and cushion. Support was a concern as I have a history of rolling my ankles at times, so a shoe with good support and a wider sole is key. With more zone 2 training at a slower pace I have noticed that my recovery each day is much better, and my bad ankle and knee are ready to go the next day. My goal during training is to reduce injuries and to be able to recover quickly for the next day. The Glycerin Max is helping me accomplish this training goal. I am happy with this shoe and is providing me what I need which is more cushion and support. If I had a Con, it would be that the shoe is a bit warm and the tongue is thicker than my other Brooks Glycerin GTS, which is a very light thin material. I prefer a lighter thinner material shoes with more ventilation....but that is just my preference. Overall the Glycerin max is giving me exactly whatI need for a training long run shoe.

good support with cushion; ideal for my high arches; nice roll forward making it more efficient for my form of running. Doesn't hurt that they look fantastic!

From looking at this shoe, you would think it would be slow and soft, but it is neither of those. You can run fast in these shoes, and they are not marshmallows, they have some bounce with enough cushion to be comfortable. My only complaint is that they are warm on hot days. They have not shown any wear at all after my first 36 miles, so I think they will be durable, as I usually wear down outsoles pretty quickly.

These shoes are amazing! It feels like you're running on pillows! I've bought a pair for my husband and children who are also runners. Do your knees & hips a huge favor ....these shoes will make all the difference!

A fantastic shoe for long, steady, forgiving miles. You won't go fast, but you'll feel good enough to lace 'em up and run a long one again the next day.

I have been running for over forty years and these are my favorite shoes ever. The fit and cushioning are amazing! I had only been running in the for a month when I was attacked by 3 pit bulls. They tore both my legs pretty badly and the Glycerin Max protected my feet but paid a price.

I love it! Great cushion! Every step I take, the shoe keeps it light on my feet and knees. Went on a half marathon in it and it was easy!

These exceeded my expectations. They're soft like jelly and very springy. Ran a 5K and these helped stave off that tired foot feeling for longer than I usually experience.

I work in healthcare and stand 8-10 hours a day on hard flooring. These shoes feel great for prolonged standing! The cushion is outstanding. They have a little more rocker action than I prefer for walking and I prefer my Ghost Max for long walks.
