I'm not joking when I say I've probably bought 100 pairs of Mizuno shoes over the past 20+ years. The Wave Runner 28 keeps the trend going of high satisfaction and great feel. If you're looking for a running shoe with plenty of cushion but not too much and great transition from the heel to the forefoot this is the one to use!

I have loved the previous Wave Riders from 25 through 27 and while this shoe is still great, it fits slightly different. I have issues with weak calves and these shoes really help.

I am a large man and these were recommended by my wife. They are very high quality, look better IRL than the images and walk fantastic. I wear a 13 in most shoes but these did run a little small, I would go larger on next pair.

In the past I have bought the same shoe size but this one seems to run just a little bit small. I'm going to buy the wide fit version to see if there is a better fit.

I haven't worn Mizuno in like a decade. Finally tried to get a new pair and they don't fit. I tried the 9.5 US and it was too big. I returned it for a 9 US and it was too small. Happens every once in a while with other shoe brands. Almost like my feet are metric and the shoes are standard units.

Wish I had bought the Wave Rider 29 . Not a comfortable shoe. Runs small so if buy one half size up and buy wide if you are concerned about width.

Decent padding and comfortable upper. However no support and a mediocre feel overall. Not matching my expectations of previous mizuno styles which I have and are great! The wave plate here is practically non existent. In my previous pair the wave plate feels amazing.

Poor SupportGreat Support
I have been wearing Mizuno Wave Rider 25 - 11.5 - standard width for years and they are not available anymore. I wanted to try the wave Rider 28 in a wide expecting the same fit but with more toebox room. I noticed my big toe tip touching with each step and after comparing with the 25's, I discovered the 28's were slightly shorter (<.250") . Maybe Mizuno sacrifices some length to accomidate the extra width. Either way, I will be returning and looking for a pair of 25's.
