My current pair of the Allagash is 30+ years old. The heel has been replaced. All the Purchased my Allagashs 30+ years ago. They felt like a glove size 11, look great With stitching is in good shape. The heel has been rebuilt. was getting ready to order a replacement pair however the clunky lug sole of this version leaves me cold. Raise the price if you have to ;give us the option of ordering the original. I'll wait before placing my order.

The leather is top quality and looks beautiful. Only took one week to break in!

This is my fourth pair of these shoes. They are comfortable to walk in and fashionable. The sole is different than previous models, but still comfortable.

These shoes are new and not returns as we were sent last time. The lady who we were connected to was very professional and very pleasant. She answered all our questions and fixed all the mistakes our previous salesperson. This lady carries on the true LL BEAN customer service and quality.

My new favorite shoe. Wear them every day. They look and fit great.

Just received my new Allagash shoes today. I like the Canyon color a lot. The length might be just a tad too long in this size 11 (which is my regular size) but not enough to return them. Downsizing to a 10 1/2 would probably be too tight and uncomfortable. Also, I was pleased that the rubber sole is not as bright as shown in the web site pictures and looks just fine in person. The shoes seems to be well-made and almost rugged in their feel. I'm headed to the beaches of Galveston soon for some R&R and look forward to wearing them most days while I'm there. I can certainly recommend them to prospective buyers.

I really like the new design including the new soles. I applied mink oil to the shoes right out of the box and they look great. Fit is true.

I have had this shoe for years & even had new soles put on. Time for a new pair!

Great shoe - definitely a break in period, thick socks help with the process. They look amazing in person.

Excellent shoes that ae comfortable and wear very well. I am hard on footwear and this is why I have bought these shoes for many years.

This is a close substitute for the old Allagash Oxfords (item #TE301172) which I LOVED (ordered multiple pair over the years), but have not been available for several years. These are not quite as good, but they are still great. My only beef is that the tongue is very thin and the heavy leather laces dig into my insteps when I am not standing. For instance, sitting in an easy chair with my feet up and watching TV, they start to ache and I have to take them off. Out and about--no issues. Aside from that small complaint, these are excellent, handsome shoes and I expect I will order another pair when I wear these out. Hopefully, they will modify the design to make the tongue thicker, like the old Oxfords. Last note, the old Oxfords did not have a replaceable soles. I think these do, but not sure yet.

Good shoes but are not a really comfortable fit. Somewhat narrow and a little long.

Great, comfortable shoes. Wish the laces were not leather - they break too soon. I've been replacing the laces with cloth which lasts much longer. Also, wish these could be re-soled. I've had four pairs over 10+ years and the uppers never wear out. The soles wear down and nothing can be done to revive the shoe - a challenge for the LL Bean Engineering Department.

I purchased my latest pair of Allagash Handsewn Mocs to replace another pair which was beginning to wear out the soles after a couple years of almost daily use. The new pair differs from the previous, and another couple before that, because the darker sole was only available in another leather and finish and I did not want the lighter color sole. The new pair fits well and are very comfortable, but the leather style and color are not such that I will wear them as my go-to daily shoe. That's why I rated them 4 stars instead of 5. LL Bean needs to bring back the former style combination.

The Allagash Handsewn Mocs are comfortable, flexible and fit properly. The lug soles are very heavy. It surprised me that these "boat style" shoes are actually heavier than my lug style full size sneakers. The leather laces were also a surprise. Difficult to tie compared to the sneaker cord style laces. Other LL Bean "boat" shoes were too stiff and were returned.

I Just received my order, I thought the color was to be ox blood but it was brownish . I would have preferred the ox color

Shoes, for feet. Proper size, desired color. Laces work well with proper knowledge.

Nicely made, but not as nice as the previous two pairs I had. Left shoe was too narrow for my foot. I returned the shoes.

Not what i expected. They were not this shoe but another style with this sole that provides no support for the foot
