Fits loose around the ankles with weird pointy toes. Leather looks fake. Disappointed after buying these for 20 years. Changes are awful.

Nice looking but they need to offer a wide version. Too narrow and then kept slipping off the back of my foot. Had to return.

I liked the heft of these boots, but I couldn't slide my foot into them. I returned them :(

These storm chasers are very nice hefty winter bootie but unless you have slim feet and not swelling good luck getting them on. Very tight and small opening to be able to slip into

I liked the looks and weight of the shoe, but i have an extremely high instep and was unable to get my foot in the shoe. So had to return them.

First, I could not get the paper stuffing out of the shoe; so I placed my stocking foot on the underside of the shoe instead. The top of the shoe was 4 inches longer than my foot. This shoe was a size 6Med.which is what I wear in any type of shoe. I also tried a pair of plyers to get the paper stuffing out. No luck...returned.

I bought these for wife in Nov 2023, and tried to re-order for her Birthday this week. They discontinued the original & changed the design, replacing the Vibrum Artic Grip sole, with a new "Vertigrip" sole. They are both Size- 9M, but the
Newer version is too tight to wear.
They said to order true to size, but the toe area is narrower & don't fit lengthwise. They also removed the nice grip loops on the tongue area, and lowered the price.
By not fitting, I'll be returning them, because there are no 1/2-sizes, and they are now sold-out of the Black color.
So we are out a birthday gift for her, & wasted time going thru this exercise (again). These products are imported, and often limited supply, colors, sizes, Quality.
We almost can't spend our Bean Bucks, for one reason or another. You place an order, and they send you a survey, signed by someone "who really cares" We fill out the survey, noting the issues of poor quality, unavailability, etc - but have experienced disappointment multiple times, so I am frustrated (apparently they are not listening). It's the end of a 40-year run for us.

I had hoped these would be the perfect to trudge through the rain and slush. Sadly as others have noted, they are narrow through the toe box, very stiff and uncomfortable, and somewhat difficult to get on. I'm going to try a half size up.

I had the Storm Chaser 5 for years and they were perfect. This Storm Chaser 6 is very different - the shoe is very big and clunky, the opening is too small, the toe box is too tight and they are unattractive. Will be returning. Please bring back the Storm Chaser 5 design.

I need serious outdoor winter chore shoes. These oversized shoes are a tripping hazard they are so awkward. The toe box is narrow to the point that even a half size bigger still caused my toes to rub against the toe box. What a miss these boots are.

These shoes are heavy, chunky and so unattractive. Please bring back the nice suede winter shoes! What were you thinking?

The Storm Chaser is a big disappointment compared to the Storm Chaser 5. It is longer, chunkier, and uncomfortable. It is also fairly unattractive. The previous design I bought for years and was so much better. Please bring it back!!!

I have the original storm chasers. They are light weight, rounded toe, easy on and off and I wear them a lot. I purchased a new pair even though they looked different as mine are showing wear after many years. They are very different, clunky, the toe is now pointed and the top of the shoe is approximately 1 inch higher on the top of my foot. I have a high arch so this new design is a no-go. The first style was far better than this new design.

I ordered the correct size, women's 9. It was so narrow I could barely get my foot in. They looked great, but were so bulky and heavy.
Sent them back. I love LLBean so I will keep looking.

I returned them because they were too difficult to slide on. Also, surprised to be charged the discount in addition to the shipping fee in returning them.

I have purchased this shoe for years now and have always been pleased. This new version is as ugly as homemade sin and feels cheap in comparison to previous versions. It's long and narrow, but somehow also lacks side to side support across the top of my foot...The leather (pleather?) Across the top of the shoe feels thin and cheap. As this is my everyday work shoe and I walk miles everyday doing horse chores and working horses, I'm feeling sad about this new version. Hoping that they at least stay waterproof and don't crack right away. Disappointed for sure.

I normally never do reviews BUT I own an older pair of Storm Chasers that I love. They have been great work shoes. Lots of miles. Mostly yard/garden work and especially wet/muddy conditions. They are still great, but material wearing out around the top at the heel area. Decided to purchase a back-up pair. Nope! Bought the same size and this redesign is awful. Shoe is longer, bulkier & heavier, but simultaneously tighter all around foot, could hardly get on (no longer slip on without hands like my previous pair). Foot opening much smaller than my older pair. Very tight all around my ankles and I have small, slim ankles. After comparing my old vs new pair storm chasers, there is no reason to get a bigger size. That's not gonna help this poor design. LLBean ruined a great design and now I have to pay to send shoes back. Total bummer!

Rubber on toe of shoe started to crack and disintegrate within 2 years. Sent customer support photos but they wanted me to ship back the shoe with proof of purchase and they would evaluate and might do something. Less than helpful.

I knew the shoes were pretty ugly when I ordered them, I did not expect them to be so horribly uncomfortable. Taking them back.

This shoe is difficult to "slip" on. Probably more difficult because I have a high arched foot. Once on, the leather around the ankle is unyielding and hard. Not comfortable. I have a normal ankle circumference, maybe even a bit petite, so there is no excuse for it! I ordered a 7.5 wide. I wear 7 or 7.5, not always wide (only if available).
