They are oversized and not as comfortable to wear for a long period of time as I had hoped they would be but very waterproof.

These were a Xmas gift for my wife. She said they were comfortable out of the box. We do a lot of outdoor activities and she is pleased with the comfort and durability so far.

VERY difficult to put on! Not a slip on...need a shoe horn. Once on, however, it does its job! I have worn these for snowy dog walks and errands and although they make my feet look bigger than they are, they do what I need them to do...keep my feet warm & dry!

Clunkier than I currently need, difficult for me to put on, but once on fit like a glove and are extremely comfortable. I still miss the very original Storm Chaser Clogs.

They are very hard to put on, not like old ones, plus as a previous reviewer wrote..not fan of pointed toe, old ones were better looking

I have been buying these shoes forever but lately they just don't fit like they use to. I don't know if they are made with different materials or what, they just don't feel as comfortable.

This seems like a great shoe, but I couldn't even get my foot into the opening - it's really tiny! I was so disappointed.

These boots were shorter than my other LLBean boots that are the same size. I compared them to each other and even though they were the same size, the new ones were smaller. Very odd.

I purchased these in hopes of having a quick slip-on for snowy days. I ordered a 1/2 size bigger than I normally wear so that I could wear heavy socks. Even with the 1/2 size bigger, they were still too short. They are also very difficult to slip on, as other reviewers have mentioned. They appear to be very sturdy, but not exactly what I was looking for.

This shoe is quite solid and heavy on feet. It is a good waterproof design. It is not an easy slip on and takes some prying to get over the heel. This shoe would be better in a clog style for a better slip on. Fit was true to size.

I have bought several earlier versions of this shoe from LLBean over the years. I kept going back to them for several reasons: 1) Waterproof - Great for going out in any weather, 2) Firm leather body for the support that flat feet need, 3) Broad Toe Room - for Square Feet. This latest iteration/design does not allow for toe room, so I returned them because toe pain is not my idea of fun. Instead, I am now trying the men's version of this shoe.

Aligned with many other reviews, the women version of this show is narrow in the toe box and very challenging to slip on. The men's version has a wider toe box and is much easier to put on. Fortunately, I can purchase men sizes for myself and found a much more comfortable shoe in the men's version

I had not realized the tread had changed to a more winter version when I ordered this boot. I have used the storm chaser 5 boot for many years as a year round shoe, daily on our farm. Looking for a replacement. Not sure I will keep this boot, Storm Chaser 6. Very disappointed

It's rare that I can fit into this style shoe. I'm impressed - good job L L Bean. However, I did size up 1/2 size to do so. I wear an 8 B and I sized up to an 8 1/2. I have only worn them twice and might return them if I had kept the box. For as much as I really like the fit, when walking outside, I found the sole on the bottom to be of such hard plastic that I slipped several times on sidewalks that had been shoveled but still had some slickness to them. I only wish the shoe was more rubbery to have a better grip on the ground. Disappointing......

These are not comfortable and mostly fit. But after trying 6 other pairs and styles, it was better than the others. Sizing all over the place even when theoretically the same size. Discouraging.

I love these shoes and really wanted them to work, but sadly the foot opening is much too small.

They look nice but they are very small to get your foot into. Once you have them on they are heavy and klunky. I returned them.

These are waterproof which is why I bought them but they are difficult to get on. A small zipper on the front of the Storm Chaser would aid the process of putting them on and make them a much better shoe.

I have owned a pair for many, many years! Most comfortable, dependable, shoe, I love them! The new ones, not so much! Could barely get my foot in, and I don't have a high instep. Once my foot was in, they were very uncomfortable, snug and tight. I didn't want to mess with the return, shipping, will the next size fit? I want a new pair, but will wait for a better design.

Very, very hard to get on without a shoe horn, and they are tight with just regular socks. I considered returning them, but I like the tread, and only need them for heavier snow so decided to keep them.

I returned the shoes because they were too stiff. Not flexible for me. Be aware that the material that is inserted in the shoe at the factory is almost impossible to remove. I had to resort to using strong pliers to remove stuffing.

I have been buying women's storm chasers for MANY years. Each one lasts me a few years and I've had at least 6 of these I think. Anyway, as others have said, the opening to put your foot through is quite small. I'm attaching a photo of my last pair (sorry, they are pretty warn) next to the new brown pair and you can see the difference. The new pair has about a 1.5 cm smaller opening. I was able to get my foot in by pulling up on the ring at the back, but definitely couldn't just slip them on like the previous pairs. I still likely would have kept them (I use them a lot to walk the dog in the morning on wet grass!), but the major problem for me was that the top of the shoe pushed down very hard on the TOP of my toes (not on the end of the toes) - so much so that my toes felt like they were going numb. There was still room at the back of the shoe, so it wasn't just too small. And I bought the same exact size as with previous pairs. I'm really not picky on shoes fitting perfectly, as long as they aren't super big or way too small. But I will be returning these. Very sad that my "go to" waterproof shoe/boot is no longer working - and that I had to lose $6.50 in the return penalty to find this out. These shoes seem to fit some people though.

The shoe is hard to get on, and even though it was supposed to be wide it was still felt narrow and short.
