these shoes feel great to walk in, even took them on a trail and they feel great going up. going downhill theres a bit of canyon toe effect, but nothing too bad. having owned many pairs of other keen shoes in a few categories I feel like these are narrower than previous pairs and maybe sizing up a half size would be recommended. I asked the keen rep at the garage store if they would fit the same size as the ones I had on and they said they would. Felt good in store, but after walking 10k I can feel the narrower toe box crunch. Have never exchanged a pair of keen shoes after wearing them so hopefully they will let me go a half size up. Would be great if there was a wide toe box version of these; I feel like a lot of folks buy keen for the roomier toe box. Before the uncomfortable toe squeeze these felt great to walk in and the support during the rolling motion is great. I have high arches and you can feel the support most of the step. Love this first iteration and hope keen can dial in the wider versions and continue to improve.

These were way narrower than I had hoped, based on other Keen shoes I have owned. Also, the smell from them was extreme. Whatever was used to make them outgasses a lot of fumes. Very unpleasant smell ... have not encountered that on any other shoe. Shoes were very well made and appeared sturdy. I did not wear them much because the toe box was obviously too small for me. I liked the rolling motion from the curved soles. Will definitely consider another pair when they are available in EE.

I have always been a fan of Keen, but my previous purchases have been on the sandals / hiking shoe side. I was wanting a sturdy but comfortable walking / everyday shoe, and was down to these and Hoka 1-1. After hearing about how quickly the Hokas wore out, I went with KEEN, as I am heavy and already wear out shoes quicker than most. I feel I made the right decision, these are sturdy, comfortable and truly do encourage forward momentum. I LOVE them!

So far there is nothing I do not like about this shoe. I wear these on duty and I work 12 hours days, with half of that on feet and or walking. I plan to order at least one additional pair in another color.

In order to eliminate some of the flexion in my foot due to arthritis pain when walking, I have found this sole design to be very helpful. Because the more colorful versions of this shoe look like billboards for Keen branding (and I love their products), I chose the all black ones, as they are a little more subtle.

The sneakers have a strong smell that's unlike any sneakers that I've ever purchased. It's not an unpleasant smell, just, a little overpowering. I also did develop a blister on my left front toe after 2 days of walking 4 miles each day. Despite those 2 negatives, I really like these shoes. After taking several days off from walking, I wore them at a local them park and I had zero complaints. No new blisters or any discomfort after walking 7 miles during the day. I've tried much less expensive walking shoes in the past & none of them had comparable technology for us walking peeps. Would have given 5 if if wasn't for the aforementioned issues.

Great technology and craftsmanship. I walked several miles straight from the box after receiving the shoes. No break in period was needed. What I really like is the off set lacing. This keeps the lacing off my bunions which is a problem with most of my running shoes.

I just love this shoes! I am an avid walker and the new WK400 rocking motion not only allows me to re-enjoy my meditative walks but also relief pain that had been caused by regular walking shoes. Furthermore, the WK400 also improves my walking posture. So all in all, this is one of the best investment I could have made on myself!

The Wk 400 are excellent for walking, and even standing. They take weight off of my heel. I can feel some tendon support. The shoes seem to take pressure off of my knees. They were a bit tight when I received them but they have broken in and now are comfortable with a good fit. The circulation of air through the shoes is real nice. I walk around the city daily, the shoes make walking fun.

So first, I have two knees that have pretty bad arthritis. I'm still a cyclist. I ride about 80 miles a week. I still have knee pain when I walk though. For my job, I walk about 3 to 6 miles a day. What I find with these shoes is, it's much much more comfortable to walk all day in these than anything I have ever had. Including $500 custom insoles in regular running shoes. It also places the impact point on my knees in a different place than I am used to. And this has been one of the greatest things these shoes have done. I have much less knee pain walking on these shoes all day than before. They seem to be built very durable. I find the fit is spot on with the size given. So far it's one of the best shoes I have bought for my knees and walking all day.

A very comfortable shoe right out of the box. From the box to a 10 mile mixed terrain walk, no problem. The shoes roll easy and are cushioned well on pavement. The run on the large side on the sizing chart.

I own 6 keen shoes and this rating is for WK 400. (1) Shoe for what it is meant to do (get you to want to walk) .. 5 star (2) The shoe is designed in a manner to "push" you forward. The arch support is high and that did not work well for me. Suitability for my arches 1 star. (3) Keen Service. I called in with the pain it was causing in my arches and in under 30 seconds I had an return authorized and I am exchanging it for my seventh Keen shoe (Targee 3 Oxford). I love how Keen stands behind its products,

Very interest shoe and concept, but I can't wear it until Keen makes it in Wide sizes. Or at least take the lacing down past the ball of the foot, so wide-sized people can loosen the forefoot as needed. Keen was so close on this shoe, but it seems like they let styling considerations get the last word.

Amazing. I walk for exercise, and my right leg has been stiff and giving me a little trouble. With the Keen WK400 shoe my leg functions much better. My gait flows naturally because of the curved nature of the shoe. I was even able to increase the caloric burn from the walk by adding a 10 pound weighted backpack.

Liked the rolling experience! Tested them out on a 30 minute trial walk! My strides were energized! Very different from my other keen shoes!! Wore socks, which I dont always do! I walk in a park environment, on a paved surface! I did walk off the pavement, on sparsely grassed area, just to see how felt! The rolling sensation was diminished, it was still comfortable!!
