It's very thin for being called a jacket. Seems like it may be breezy. It's more like a slightly thicker long-sleeved t-shirt. I was hoping it would be warm enough on it's own for airplane travel, but I will still need a long sleeve under it. It's a nice top, just not as thick/warm as I expected for a "jacket." The sleeves could be a little more fitted as well, they are a little baggy.

Got one for myself and one for my 91 year old mom. Pretty colors, warmth without weight. Went to unzip for mom so she could try on and the zipper was faulty. Did not unzip to the bottom. Not the first time I've had zipper problems with Bean jackets and coats. Returned, wanted to get replacement but concerned I'd have to return again. Would rate a 5 except for zipper.

My husband bought me this jacket as a gift. It is absolutely positively the perfect jacket, lightweight, yet still warm, however, the zipper will not zip all the way down, so therefore, I have to return it.

I like the style, sizing is accurate and the lavender color is gorgeous. But the fabric is whisper thin and feels fragile. Might work as a swimsuit cover-up or a something to wear at a summer BBQ, but it won't even function as a layer under a jacket up here. Had to return.

This is a very nice sweater but way overpriced LL Bean.

I like the thin weight of this, which is what I wanted for a packable travel layer in shoulder months, but the zipper is a bit sticky getting started, and I may see if I can exchange it for another one.

I ordered this for our in-between seasons here in the Pacific Northwest. The color of the aubergine is absolutely gorgeous. Since I always need a little something over a tee or shirt when running errands, etc. I thought that this would keep me warm. Nope! Very thin fabric which was a huge disappointment. I've just sent it back. I was hoping for a material similar to a grid fleece but this isn't it.

I returned it, too boxy. I wish Bean would make women's clothing more figure flattering.

I love this layer, BUT .. The openings to the pockets are too small. Not all women have little hands! And the zipper is fussy to line up. Fix those things, and I'll buy it in even more colors!

I like everything about this except the length. It says it falls at the hip but I find it quite a bit longer for my 5'4" height.

Love the jacket and the material; however, I hate the zipper, it's too small and cheap. It is very difficult to zip.

l love the jacket and the color. It is just right for wearing inside when the thermostat is a little low. HOWEVER - the zipper is not good. It splits from the bottom and needs a gentle touch. I will not buy again unless zippers are of better quality.

I just bought this, and wore it around the house on a chilly evening to try it out. It's a nice, light fabric. Not fuzzy on either side; the fluff must be inside the little baffles. But I weighed it; it's not quite light enough (at 10.8 oz in size medium) to be a backpacking mid layer. It's also cut in the classic LL Bean shapeless, almost-baggy way that is not going to layer well under other things (over a bulky sweater, sure). For its bulk and weight, I'm not sure it's offering all that much warmth. Maybe it fits a certain niche in my wardrobe, but that niche is not yet obvious to me. I love the dark periwinkle color, which I understand is on its way out. I might keep it, since I got it at a good price with some discounts piled on it. I might not.

The fabric is much thinner than earlier versions that I have bought. I also like the earlier pocket design better. My favorite is the women's full zip hooded version that I bought 4 or 5 years ago. Bring that back! Retro version! Thanks

I've bought many pieces from LL Bean size large, which fit ok. This one I found fits too baggie to keep. Also, the sleeves are too long. It's going back although it's a pretty piece.

I loved the blue color and fit of this zipup sweater, but it was much lighter and not worth the cost for what I needed.

I bought this as a substitute for the LL Bean Fitness Fleece, full zip, which Bean apparently no longer makes. It is a good weight substitute for that jacket. However, there are a few issues, one that probably isn't something that can be fixed. The fabric is nice, and hangs well. But it is the sort of fabric that snags and runs easily, which of course wasn't an issue with the Fitness Fleece. I already have one snag on the right arm which mostly shows as a small hole, and can be sort of ignored. But this is hardly what I had imagined for the price and for a jacket which is, after just a couple weeks, already "old" because of the hole in it. I anticipate getting lots more holes as all I have done is worn the jacket around the house, not even doing chores, and a few times out to the grocery store. Others have mentioned that the zippered pocket holes are a bit small. I agree. I have small to medium hands and can't clench my fist to get, say, a tissue or keys out of the pocket. I have to hold my hand with care to get my hand out while holding something. Empty I have no problem. I am also guessing that the pocket zippers will not hold up very long. The tabs are very stiff, for example, and may be prone to breaking. While these annoying things are true, it is a very nice jacket. I am just disappointed for the reasons I mentioned above. You may find that it is perfect for you.

Ever since LLB offered these "airlight" garments I've been waiting impatiently for the full-zip to be available in plus sizes. Finally this summer (2024) I could buy one. The biggest problem is the zippered pockets! OMG! For comparison, the openings are at least an inch and a half shorter than the pockets on the primaloft vests and jackets. I could barely push my hands in, and if I was holding something to put in the pockets (keys, tissues, reading glasses) it required concentration and determination to get them safely inside. In addition, my sensitive skin did not care for the interior texture of the jacket on my arms; something about it made me relieved to get it off.

I like the fabric. It is soft and thin, which is what I wanted. What I don't like about it is the elastic trim around the bottom hem. The jacket is cut narrow (which is okay for me, typically), but the elastic makes it pooch out around the hips, which is not flattering for anyone. I didn't return it, but wouldn't buy another and wouldn't recommend it.

The second time I put it on I was blow drying my hair and accidentally touched it with the dryer for less than a second and it melted a hole in it. So disappointed!!!! I wonder what would happen if you put it in the dryer?!?!

I returned this item. I ordered a large and it was really big. I went to see about replacing it and everything I tried on was either a medium that was too big. A small that was too large, the sizing has become crazy.

I returned this because it was a light purple instead of the blue it appeared on my computer screen. It waa light weight and comfortable, but the sleeves were too wide and looked a little sloppy.

I thought I ordered this but I got a waffle-weave full zip. I washed and it was immediately ashy. Is the picture wrong or did either Bean or I make a mistake?
