I like the color of the leather and construction. I decided to return them though, because they are too wide, especially in the heel and slip off my foot. I could not order a smaller size though, as my toes were already as crowded as I could stand. Also not a fan of the contrasting stitching.

The heel is too wide and my foot slips out.

I have worn the shoes around my home for a week, with socks, without socks. My biggest complaint is the shoes do not fit my narrow heel and therefore I have trouble keeping the shoes on or they rub the heel causing a painful experience. Since most shoes now do not make heel sizes to fit your feet as they did years ago, And even to find a narrow shoe is next to impossible, as the width of most shoes is medium. I guess I will have to live without wearing this type of shoe ever again. My mistake. However, having said that I certainly like the style of the shoe, it is well made and would have been just what I wanted. I wear size 7 1/2.

I've always been a solid size 6 in my shoes but now that I'm approaching 50 years old, I'm not sure if my feet are getting bigger but the size 6 was at least a size or half size too small. I'm sad. I wore these shoes throughout 7th grade and into my early 20s and loved them to death. Alas, this size 6 is going back. I will say that the leather was great, as I remembered, and is flexible. Not quite moccassin-level but not horse saddle tough.

After measuring my feet I decided on the size I ordered. I could hardly get them on and when I did they seemed small. The material seems cheap and looks cheap.

First pair normal size 8.5 was absurdly long. Tried 8W and they were too small and VERY narrow. The left one looked a bit “off” as it seemed to curve the wrong way. The width would have loosened up with break-in but the toe was painfully short. Horrible sizing. Crushed to return them.

The shoes are well made. The leather is stiff, and would most likely soften over time, however, they are very narrow. My feet would not have been able to survive the break in period to attempt to get them somewhat comfortable. Sadly, they are going back today.

I wish I could return these. The first time I wore them, they were completely comfortable. After a second try, the left shoe suddenly started pinching my foot in an unbearable way. I cannot wear them for more than 10 minutes without needing to change shoes.

Cute shoes - super narrow though. I am still trying to break them in. I hope they will 'give' quite a bit, otherwise it was a waste of money. I have a wide foot and ordered these in the wide - I would be shocked to see the narrow ones.

I really like loafers, but have a narrow heel. Bass-generally stopped making narrow widths, and the few styles they make sell out quickly. Sebago Plaza had a nice shoe, but discontinued it, and the narrow widths are unavailable. This is the first time I've tried an Eastland. It is narrow along the foot, but unlike the other two manufacturer's the heel does not correspond to a AA. My foot was slipping, and for the price of the shoe, I should not have to buy a heel insert, and they are more and more difficult to find anyway. It's a stylish shoe, but if you have narrow heels, it is unlikely to fit properly unless you get an insert, or shuffle while you walk.

Way too narrow. will only fit narrow feet. Somewhat cheap shoe; very little leather.

Great looking shoe. No arch support and not very sturdy on sides. Priced too high for what you get.

I ordered my normal size 8W and these where extra long and huge!! Not just wide in toe box but the entire length of the shoe including the heel was wide. I could find no shoe size on the inside of either shoe thinking surely they sent me the wrong size. I would not recommend and will not try another size but will try another brand of penny loafers from Zappos.

I love the look of penny loafers, but have a very hard time finding styles that fit my wide foot. I previously bought the Sebago brand from Zappos, but when I was ready to replace them, for whatever reason, they were no longer offered, so I tried these instead. All in all, I wish I'd searched harder for the Sebago brand. These look okay, not great, but okay. Initial reaction on taking them out of the box was that they had a sort of "pleather-y" appearance, that I wasn't crazy about, but it was passable. While I could deal with the appearance, the real issue was comfort. These were wide enough, which was great, but the soles seemed to have very little padding or arch support. After a long day on my feet or walking any kind of distance, my feet ached. That was helped greatly by a pair of Dr. Scholl’s insoles, but a great pair of shoes shouldn't need insoles to be comfortable. Biggest problem is that the top of the shoe (the vamp? the throat?) is so stiff it really bites into the top of my foot when I walk. At the end of the day, and often all evening after I take them off, the top of my foot aches, and I can't wear them two days in a row, or my feet really pay the price. I'm hoping that as these break in and the leather softens, this problem will go away, but I'm not sure I want to endure the pain for however long that takes. If these had been comfortable, I definitely would have bought another pair in brown. Instead, I'll probably search around to see if I can find Sebagos somewhere. They were stiff at first, too, but comfortable and never painful and they looked a lot better. If Zappos started selling them again, I'd buy several pair to stock up. I won't buy these again.

Okay shoe - A little bit wider than I expected, but this is the first loafer that has felt comfortable on my wide feet. The quality is not what I expected but this shoe is fine for work.

Funny proportions - The proportions on this shoe are "feminized," which wasn't what I was looking for. I like a longer toebox. The price was good, though.

Fit - Loved the excellent service and fast delivery - however, if you purchase this shoe it runs large - order at least a half size larger.

Eastland loafers- disappointing - The shoes I received in the Zappos order were not the same quality as the Eastland loafers I've purchased in stores. The leather is very thin and there is no arch support. Also, I ordered a wide size and it didn't fit. I am returning them.

I wear a size 8 and ordered an 8. It felt at least a whole size too small and too narrow. I couldn’t even get my foot into the shoe. Had to return.

I did not care for the material

This was rubbing on my heel, slipping off, just a little too big. Didn't look like great quality either.

I wanted to like this shoe but did not - it just did not deliver the classic penny loafer look I was after.

the color is way darker than tje picture. it’s almost coffee brown. Not what I anticipated ??

Too small and narrow. pretty shoes, too bad I have to return them.

I wanted to love these shoes but they have a strange cut to them. Narrow at the toes and wide in the middle of the shoe. No arch support whatever! Sorry, I have to return these.
