The Pursuits have been my go-to shoe since they appeared on the market. But the "softer" foam in the 2s is both hateful and dysfunctional. It offers 0 support. After 10 miles my feet start to ache. At the 15 mile mark I want to rip them off. I wore them on a very technical trail yesterday and could feel the rocks puncturing the bottom. Instead of springing off the landing like you did with the old foam, you just sort of squish into the ground and wonder why the cushioning isn't holding you up.

I gave the OG Pursuits a 5 star rating and have loved them for years. This version is much less comfortable. The heel feels too narrow and the very back irritates my Achilles, the toe protection is less than the original version, the insole is less cushiony, and no matter how I lace them they end up putting too much pressure on the front of the ankle. I purchased the same size as always, and have plenty of room between my toes and the front of the shoe, so it's not because I need to size up. I have a trail race next weekend and will wear my old Pursuit 1s with 450+ miles on them in hopes of saving my feet.

I have collapsing arches, and these shoes caused ankle sprains in both my feet.

When the Altra Timp switched to soft cushioning in their Timps, I switched to the Topo Pursuit. The original Pursuits were the absolute perfect shoe and became my go-to for the past two years. Topo destroyed the Pursuit with the Pursuit 2. The new cushioning is too soft, and consequently does what the Altra Timp does - it just squishes under any weight and makes it feel like you have no cushioning in your shoe at all. It feels unsupportive, uncomfortable and not responsive since there's nothing there. I'll be back to searching for a different 0 drop shoe.

We are begging you to please come out with better color options in this style. Both colors are horrendous, but especially the blue green. I want these shoes so bad but can't justify the price for a color I hate. Simply waiting for a more neutral color pallet or no pastels and then I'll buy!!
