I LOVE THESE!!! I have - wide feet, bunions and a morton's neuroma...I can wear so little that are comfortable and suppotive and stylish. I bought these Altra Olympus 6's in all black and they are AWESOME. I wore them on vacation where we walked up to 10 miles per day and I was SO happy. It was one of the first times I could walk without thinking about my feet. These are ultra cushioned, the heal holds your foot in place so I didn't pronate, I didn't feel my neuroma, and my bunions didn't hurt!!!! Please don't change the design, I love them just the way they are.

I'm a dancer, not a runner, so these are for everyday use, but they pass the true test - full days on my feet in NYC with tons of walking. Love the width, the stretchiness and the cushion.

I just finished my record setting thru hike of the AT. I wore Altras for the entire hike. First the Lone Peaks and then the Olympus. I love them and have convinced others to give them a try.

I have bought multiple pairs of Olympus 6 shoes and advocate that these are the best shoes for long workdays on your feet! Wide toe box, supportive, and super comfortable! Takes a couple of weeks to wear in.

I have researched walking/hiking shoes with zero heel drop and just enough cushioning to be comfortable. These Altra's fit the bill perfectly!

I love this model of Altra and I’ve tried several. The Olympus 6 is super comfortable for my daily walking of 3-6 miles per day. It provides great surface grip and cushion. Tempted to get it in other colors. I docked a star because it’s a chunky looking shoe. But functionality over fashion wins out. This is my current go to walking shoe.

I have always loved Altras for their wide toe box and moderate support. For everyday running around, I wear barefoot shoes and sandals like Lems and Earthrunners. But as I get older, for my long walk workouts, I prefer more cushion to accommodate the distance and concrete paths. The Olympus 6 does not disappoint. I've tried other Altra models and this is my favorite thus far. Very comfortable and the medium width shoe is plenty wide to accommodate my foot in Injinji socks. Perfect amount of cushion and support. I also appreciate Zappo's generous return policy so I can order multiple sizes or models to determine the one that works best for me.
I'd also recommend:
Lems, Earthrunner

These are the BEST shoes on the planet! When I switched from Hokas to Altras I was skeptical, but they are AMAZING! The fit, the style, the support, all perfect! I'll never go back!

I'm obsessed with these shoes and probably never running in anything ever again. I recently ran in a 230 mile ultra race and these held up so well. Extremely comfortable, wide toe box and great grip.

The Olympus 6 is everything it's advertised to be. The traction is excellent and the toe box is roomy and has space for folks with bunions. The cushioning is great and I love the wide flat laces, that stay put, plus the black and light blue color theme is a good looking combination. They are expensive but you get what you pay for and they are worth the investment.

I got these last year and have truly loved them! I'm about to get another pair. I kept getting shoes with a big drop, thinking that would help propel me forward, but these make running easier and go pain has decreased. And they're comfy!!

The Altra Olympus (numbers keep changing) are the only shoes I wear. I have two artificial hips and have had three spinal fusions. These shoes make my entire body comfortable.

I LOVE these shoes. I bought them for Bhutan, after I googled "what's the best shoe for wide feet?" I bought the orange/red pair, then the waterproof pair, and now these. I travel all over the globe, as well as domestically. These shoes increased my overall stamina, over miles of all terrain, rocky, sandy, and pavement. The cushioning is unparalleled. I've worn a number of other brands, but never with this level of comfort.

I bought these shoes because of the online recommendation (not Altra) for wide feet and all terrain hiking, and my trip to Bhutan to make the ascent to the Tiger's Nest. They have more than exceeded my expectations. The width and toe box accommodate my wide feet. The cushion gives me ample comfort and support on pavement, rocky trails and dusty dirt for mile after mile. The sand is my second pair of the Olympus 6. I also bought the waterproof version. This is the best hiking/walking shoe I've ever worn.

Being a loyal Loan Peak wearer, I decided to try something a little more cushy. I love all the Altra shoes, and even have my road shoes from Altra. I've always been a fan of the zero drop because I've done that my entire adult running life. To me it is less stress on the forefoot and ankle. Me and my friends like to go far, far, far and these keep my feet feeling perfect all day. I'm trying to get back to my Ultrarunning after some years of wear and tear on my body and these are going to get me there. I have back issues and these shoes helped to alleviate that issue as well. They are so cushy and grippy I've able to go out on the trail several times in rocky, sandy slipper terrain with no problem. Not even one ankle roll. The Vibram sole really was a great addition. I was able to put these on and go with zero issues no blisters. It's like they were custom-made for me. I have also already washed these a couple times in my washing machine in a net bag with the laces off and then I stuffed them with a towel to dry. They don't say you can do that, but I have. And the shoes have not fallen apart.

I hiked 300 miles with a pack on the Camino de Santiago in Spain in these shoes. They were perfect over rocks and hills, in mud and rain, flat land and mountains, trails and pavement. I never had a single blister, and am still wearing them, and loving them. They are sturdy, supportive and comfortable and with springy cushion that feels like walking on air.

I've seen a lot of complaints about the heel cushion on this new model but, I love it - All of my Altras wear a hole in the heel fabric after a few months. These ones are holding up great, the reinforced heel in my opinion is a positive. As always, the roomy toe box is the best for my feet and I love the color choices you've got on this version.

I have wide, flat feet with a narrower heel shape. I've had surgery on both feet and am selective about my footwear. These are the most comfortable athletic shoe I've had for a long time! Not only do I wear them daily for work (active hospital job), but for hiking as well. My feet feel supported and I haven't had a single blister. The wide toe box plus heel cup is perfect for my foot shape. Per other reviews, I did go a half size up to a 7.5 from my typical 7, which was a good move. I would highly recommend these shoes for both daily wear and off-roading adventures!

I've been wearing the Olympus as my go-to trail runner for the last three years, for training in all seasons and long distance runs from New England to the Rockies. Prior to that, I wore the Timps, and before that, I wore the Lone Peaks. Just got the Olympus 6s a couple days ago, and after a short test run, took them on a 15 miler with 3600' today. Both the fit and traction were awesome across muddy terrain, post-holing through snowfields, steep and gravelly slopes. Biggest improvement from the 5s: Didn't have to retie my shoelaces a single time. Stoked!

Love these shoes. Great stability with wide heel base and vibram sole. Cushion is great for harder surfaces especially, but not so squishy that my feet pronate. Awesome!
