I received this product for free from Altra and BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. As an avid runner, trying out the Altra Men's Experience Form was a revelation. Its unique design, especially the wide toe box, provided unparalleled comfort during long runs, allowing my toes to splay naturally. The zero-drop platform felt liberating and helped improve my running form over time. In comparison to other running shoes I've tried, the Altra Experience Form stood out for its minimalist yet supportive construction. However, it might not suit everyone's preference, especially those accustomed to more traditional shoe designs. Overall, for runners looking to enhance their natural stride and comfort, the Altra Experience Form is worth considering.

I'm a big runner and normally saucony is my tried and tru brand. The altras were a nice change. I primarily do road/track running and I feel like they were supportive. They had some spring to them and an appropriate heel drop. I probably wouldn't wear them for a long run over 15 miles but they were great for up to 12. The color was nice and not overly flashy. Great to have these in my lineup

am genuinely impressed with this shoe. Right out of the box I did what most folks say you shouldn't do, and took them for an 8 mile trail run. These shoes were incredibly comfortable. While there is zero drop, the cushion strikes the exact right balance for putting on some miles without feeling every rock and root. I was concerned that the wide toe box might lead to too much lateral play up front, but that wasn't the case at all. I've hiked and run in barefoot shoes as well as maximum-type shoes like Hokas, this was my first experience with Altra and I can unequivocally state that I am now an Altra fan.

Perfect 9.5s! Roomy toebox! Cushioning is great! It took a little getting used to from changing brands/shoes in general. The way these shoes let your foot spread out properly cannot be beat.

Great comfortable and light weight shoes only thing I would change is the front area width of the shoe to make it a little more narrow.

Finally! A stability shoe with Footshape and also 4mm drop! Thank you Altra for adding this to the lineup and giving the people what they want! Footshape and 4mm drop with a little guidance? Love it! woohoo!

I tried the Provision 7 and had a terrible pain in my heel, maybe it was too tight, so I returned them. I had some sauconys then tried these. They did not give me the same heel pain as the provision 7. The laces do come untied after double knotting them sometimes which is annoying, never had that issue with Sauconys, but I do like the wider toe box and the low drop. Maybe I'll give the provision 8 a try as I'm trying to get to 0 drop eventually.

I am a girl and bought the men's equivalent of my size in these shoes because I liked the colors better. I love the Experience Form. They are my new long-run/marathon shoe. The toe box is so comfortable. My feet are so happy. Now when I wear my other brand shoes I can really tell the difference. My only qualm, and it's minor, is the dang shoe laces do not stay tied, even when double knotted. I swapped the ones from my retired shoes because I got annoyed with having to re-tie my shoes every few miles. Aside from that, they are great shoes and I will absolutely be buying them again.

Have out a little over 40mi on them so far and they feel good. Do only running in them and walking to cool down but theyre dedicated running shoes. Went from a 12mm drop to this 4mm and so far dont feel too much different but i like the low drop. I dont feel like my feet are sliding forward. Love the wide toe box. Last pair were brooks and they were great shoes but on runs greater than 5mi, my toes would rub and blister. 14mi run the other day and no blistering or rubbing at all, it was great. The little padding bubbles on either side of the heel feel weird at first but once the run starts i dont feel them at all and i have zero discomfort so they must do a good job. I also am an over pronater and so far no shin splints so the guide rail seems to be doing its job. The guiderails are not as positive of a feeling as my brooks were but no splints as i said so they do the job and the shoes feels good. Cushion feels good, not too soft but not so dense that you get terrible back or joint pain from extended pavement pounding. Only reason its not a 5star is because ive not worn them out to get the full life feel but so far id guess that its a 5star shoe and if i can get 500mi out of them ill probably buy another pair.

These shoes are great a true fit. There is extra room in the toe box for comfortably. When running the shoes breathe very well and the heel is cushioned just enough for indoor and outdoor use. The back lip is reinforced to help heel and ankle support as well.

The fit itself with these is totally fine but my issue is the style. The round front is very odd to look at for many people around me and the shoe feels very thin and uncomfortable.

Man I love Altra and have nearly every model of running shoes but this is the first one to let me down. It feels like there is a stiff rail in the shoe. I currently run in Flow, and Torin. These will only be the 2nd pair of shoes I return in 5 years. I may have a bad pair as the left shoe does not seem as bad. I just can't get used to this particular feel.

Altra, please listen up. When you sell a size 13 Wide please make sure the laces are long enough. I ordered from a well known running store, picked them up, went home to try them and the laces were so short I could barely tie them. Using the extra eyelet for a marathon loop was a total no go. It angers me and shows a lack of attention in quality control. I had to drive back to the retailer to return these and will use my store credit on another brand. Still love my Lone Peak 6 and consider them a perfect iconic shoe. Please do better, I know you can.

I had high hopes for these shoes in comparison to others usual normal shoes. This was my first experience with Altra. But unfortunately this model causes discomfort and pain. I decided to do a test fast walk at home on the treadmill. After 25 minutes, when I walked only 2 km, I felt discomfort in the pads of the big toe on my left and right feet. After that I decided to run the stairs. And everything was fine until I felt a sharp discomfort and almost pain in the pads of the big toe, especially on the left foot. I stopped training. After two hours the discomfort intensified. I don't know the exact reason for such discomfort, but unfortunately I can't wear them anymore and will have to return them. It's a pity that this is how my first experience with Altra turned out. These just aren't right for my foot. Have never had this issue with any other pair of shoes.

The shoe ties down nicely but is underwhelming in performance, especially compared to the "flow experience." I would have sized down and tried again, but I missed the return period by one day. Unfortunately, I live overseas (active Army) and have no stores available. My feet felt weak, not providing the boost I needed.

If you are an over pronater, this is not the shoe. It has very little stability compared to provision. The drop is unnoticeable and I often felt there was a drop anyways. The guard rail used did very little as well. I have had every stability running shoe on the planet and this is just a normal old neutral shoe. The provision keeps your foot well positioned and this shoe is not even close.

Disappointed that after 4 months and less than 60 miles the sole of the shoe has separated from about 5 inches of the upper along my forefoot. I have 6 year old Altras that I still tool around in and have continued to hold up.

Love the idea of a lightweight stability running shoes with a wide toe box. I was planning on using this for racing, but the foam is just not there. Would love the same foam as the Wave Experience!! Please and thanks!

After wearing these for about a month, both sides completely blew out. The fabric used on them is cheap and breaks easily. I was hoping to use these for a half marathon in a few weeks, but now I can't.

I wore these shoes for 4 months and the side of the shoe completely blew out. I am sick of wasting my time trying to make atra shoes work. They are cheaply made but expensive to buy.

I bought this product hoping for a good fit but it was too small with pressure on big toes. My disappointment did not stop there. I used the preprinted return label and two weeks later still no refund. I reached out to customer service and they requested a tracking number for there preprinted label. I asked if they could just track their own label and they said with no additional solutions. I have never had this lack of support from ASICS, Brooks, and Hoka. Will never again buy from Altra and would discourage anyone else. Save yourself the disappointment. Thanks Julia S
