I have several pairs of Altra & I wear the stability versions. The Experience Form is the best Altra I have ever worn. Support is great and it is paired with best cushioning of all stability shoes.

I love the comfort of my Paradaigm 6's and were my favorite until the Experience Forms. I've been walking and running in zero drop shoes for about a year. Due to some low calf tightness/muscle tension from the increased tension of zero drop, I was super excited Altra came out with a dropped shoe. This has allowed me to keep wearing my favorite brand but takes the tension off my calves. I need a stability shoe and the experience form is my new favorite Altra! The foam is responsive and comfortable for everyday wear and running. I love the color ways and the black looks stylish to wear with jeans or shorts.

These shoes bring a welcome 4mm drop to a terrific Altra fit. The uppers and heel counter have much better construction and materials than other Altra's that I've tried over the years. I also like the cushion and appearance. My first impression was these are my favorite Altras ever. Negatives that I've seen (consistent with previous Altras) are outsole durability and wet traction. I have used the shoes for walking, and after just appx 75 miles I've worn completely through some of the outsole grooves (see photo). If they get wet, the traction loss is dangerous on smooth surfaces like tile or concrete - I almost wiped out getting out of my car in the garage. I like the fit and upper materials so much that I have bought a pair of Experience Wilds which have better traction. I'll see how the outsole lasts.

These shoes work really well for me. I've enjoyed them right out of the box. Definitely my favorite pair of Altras and possibly my favorite running shoe of all time. Previous shoe was latest version of Arahi, these are so much better.

Best shoe in its inventory. I love these shoes. Great stability and cushion, especially in the forefoot, without feeling to soft. These are perfect for me. Hopefully they do not mess with it.

They are very comfortable with good cushion and great support at the same time. Coming from someone who had foot pain from bunions and plantar fasciitis, these are what the doctor ordered.

I wanted to love these shoes, but unfortunately, I ran into a few serious issues. I love the look of these shoes and the stability they provide. The problem for me is that I purchased them seven months ago, and I can no longer wear them. A hole has developed where the fabric has separated from the sole, making them very painful to wear. This is the first time in my life that I've experienced this kind of damage in a pair of tennis shoes. Additionally, I noticed significant wear on the soles relatively soon after I started using them. Even though I've had them for about seven months, I didn't wear them that oftenmostly for walking my dog, the occasional hike, or casual walks around the city. Given the limited use, I feel like these shoes should have lasted much longer. I'm saying this in comparison to other brands I've worn over the years, which have held up far better under similar conditions.

These have a perfect combination of fit, cushion and support. The best I've had in a long time. This is my second pair and there will be more.

I've been plagued with plantar fasciitis related pain/injury for two years. Switch ups with strength training, stretching and PT all aided in lessening the pain but it seemed like it would never fully heal. I had decided to switch shoes up again as lately, wearing my flatter every day shoes (Vans, Converse) weren't putting me in pain any more like at the beginning of the injury. I am full convinced the lower heel drop (4mm) was the missing piece to the puzzle. I'd run in Kivaras for forever, switched to another Saucony model before and shortly after was injured. All that to say, a high heel drop isn't always best for everyone. If you're in a similar situation, I'd definitely give these a shot. We'll see how they hold up over the coming months.

I had a spinal cord injury that compromised my ability to walk. These shoes work perfectly to support my balance; the smaller heel elevation helps with heel drag. Second pair I've bought, will again.

My experience with Altra is that they run a little small. In other brands I order an 11. In Altra I order an 11.5. They’re amazingly comfortable with great support and great fit!

I have had these a week and have put 50+ miles on them. Light, very cushioning. Forgot my other shoes on a trip and ended up wearing them 90% of the time because they were so comfortable. Big toe box. My second pair of Altra shoes but my first road running shoe from this company and definitely not my last. Used to wear hoka and adidas but not anymore after wearing these shoes.

Best shoe. Only shoe I've worn and stayed pain and injury free. I've had multiple surgeries including a screw in my foot and since committing to the ExpForms, I've never been injured + stay pain free

I have been pretty happy with the Exp Form and have bought in several colors. Currently have a black pair that pretty worn that I used for everyday walking, a green pair for training, long slow runs, and a white pair sitting in box box ready to go!! I have tried the Exp flows but they were too aggressive for me. The Form is more balanced, neutral and feeld good from foot into hips. Can't wait to try to the 2s whenever that is :)

The fit and sizing was perfect! Unfortunately the sole is too stiff for me, walked around the house, I need a more flexible shoe with stability! I'm wondering if the FWD Experience might be more flexible, but didn't want to try because of all the width (too narrow) complaints. I have to return this shoe.
I'd also recommend:
Mizuno, NB.

I am primarily a walker - 4+ miles/day. I'm 62, however, I also wear these in the gym 5-6x week. My only request? Please carry more inventory in size 14! Can't find the light blue or white/gray in size 14 anywhere!

The Altra Experience Form shoes are my favorite so far. I've previously purchased the Torin 5, Torin 6, and Torin 7. These did not have enough shock absorption for running on concrete/pavement. My average pace has improved 30-40 seconds per mile with no other change than my shoes. Have been plagued by various injuries from other shoes, but feel incredibly strong running in these shoes. Altra should continue to invest more colors into this shoe - more neutrals (E.g., slate blue)

As a long-distance runner (50 plus miles per week), these shoes have held up great. They have the perfect amount of cushion without feeling too heavy. Also as someone who has had plantar fasciitis problems, these shoes have not enhanced that problem. I really have enjoyed running in these shoes and will certainly be ordering another pair.

This was my first time trying Altra but I was pleasantly surprised how much I like these shoes. I tend to have a wider foot but these shoes fit me perfect. Super comfortable and great for everything from trail hiking to everyday running. I would recommend trying these out!

I tried these out when I went running a few days ago and they were wonderful! Super comfortable and the quality is great. The shoes provide excellent cushion for your foot and fits TTS. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone in the market for a new pair of running shoes!

If you're a runner, you know shoes can make or break your runs. From the moment I slipped them on, it was evident that these were not your average running shoes. When you run, having supportive shoes is non-negotiable. These shoes do just that and do it extremely well. These shoes are supportive and comfortable, and I feel I can experience a hassle-free, stable, and injury-free run. The roomy toe box gives my toes the freedom to move naturally, and the secure midfoot ensures a snug fit without any discomfort. The rocker shape geometry and the low 4mm drop work seamlessly together to provide a smooth, quick roll through each stride. It kind of propels me forward, unlike what I've experienced before. It's such a cool thing to experience. The foam is lightweight and so soft, it's like running on clouds! I find myself reaching for these shoes every time I head out the door. I absolutely love everything these offer - the comfort, the glide, the softness, the performance, among many other things.
