The top handle of my son's lunchbox came apart at the seam after just the second day of use. This is the third L.L.Bean lunchbox I've bought in two years, but sets a record for breaking on the second day of use. Longtime customer of L.L. Bean for 30+ years and the quality of MANY items has taken a nosedive in the past 10 years. Prices have increased and quality is shameful. Very disappointing! L.L. Bean can't bank on its name anymore. Would love to see a return to core values and quality materials/manufacturing.

I would not recommend this lunch bag. We have now returned two bags for the same poor quality of the handle. The handles on both bags tore from the seam with just one use. Although customer service has been very helpful in the return process, this is not what I expect from the LLBean brand.

Poor quality handle on the Flip Top Lunch Box. Purchased Aug 2022. Handle ripped off Sept 2022 & returned for a replacement. Handle came off again Oct 2022. Returning again as soon as I get the return label from LL Bean. The handle is attached very poorly. We had these lunch boxes before & lasted forever. Saw other reviews with same problem. Would never purchase this item again. Get someone in quality control to resolve this problem. Waste of time with returns. Thank you.

The top handle of the lunch box frayed and tore away. When I went through the process to exchange I was asked to return the lunchbox to be evaluated before a replacement would be sent. Likely weeks in turnaround time. This was a poor response to what appears to be a defect in the product.

Handle fell off the first week of school! Not sure what's going on lately with LL Bean stitching. Same thing happened to our backpack last year and I had to return it.

Within 2 months of using the handle is off. Very poor quality. I thought this would last my son for years. Customer service is even more of a nightmare. Do not recommend.

I purchased this lunchbox for my grandson in the planet pattern. It was a gift for the new school year. My daughter picked it up at the Freehold, NJ store since the item was sold out online. The first day it was used, the top handle came off at the top seam. A very expensive disappointment. She lost the receipt, so a refund is not possible.

We bought two of these lunch boxes and a little over a month later the handle failed on one of them. Poor construction and material. I expect better from LL Bean merch. Plus, I have to pay shipping to return it.

I bought this for my 6 year old son. The liner developed rips, and small punctures. The lunch box has been in use less then a single school year, and was purchased less then a year ago. He now uses an older lunch box, from a few years ago. There is an obvious decline in the craftsmanship, and overall quality. When I attempted to return it, (with proof of purchase) I was told it could not be returned as this was "normal wear and tear". Disappointed with the product, and the return policy.
