Nice and warm and good looking but absolutely covered my entire outfit in shedding. Extremely annoying.

This item continues to shed microplastic fibers contaminating the environment and is a health hazard to me, my family, and pets. Unacceptable, do better. The fit and style are great but not worth the health impact.

1 star for the beautiful tawny quartz color, 0 stars for everything else. I got this for Christmas so I couldn't try on beforehand. This jacket is SHORT and leaves my stomach cold. Cropping a jacket is crazy. The pit zips are entirely unnecessary and add an uncomfortable feel and bulk to the arms. The fit is very boxy and unflattering. I've been wearing the Denali for 20 years and this new take is terrible.

TNF, please put 'Cropped' in the product name so we don't have to waste our time and money shipping it back. False advertising as this is NOT THE RETRO. It's four inches shorter than the Denali I bought last year, and years before that. I'm 5'7", 130lbs, and wear medium. Why would I want my belly exposed in the winter/snow? Pit zips are unnecessary for a breathable material and they're stiff. Your new 22 y/o designers are targeting a very small segment with a product that used to satisfy the entire population for decades. People with money want the true retro Denali. Call your new one Denali 2 and target teens or something differentiable and bring back the true retro Denali.

Not sure whose decision it was to shorten this jacket such that it doesn't even cover the top of my thermal tights and exposes my belly if I raise my arms. It's uncomfortable and not warm.

I am looking to replace my 2012 North Face Denali which I have worn for years and sadly lost. I tried this newer version and it was a big disappointment. The newer Denali is noticelby shorter and feels cropped which reduces coverage and warmth and not great for cold weather. Please bring back the original Denali fit again.

I owned a Denali jacket in the early 2000s and it was a normal length. Silly me, ordered this "ReTrO" Denali jacket, thinking it would be like the one I owned in high school a college - dear reader, this is absolutely not it. This jacket, like everything else in 2025, is cropped. Why? I genuinely have no idea. But it is barely hip length. Buyer beware.

I have had a Denali north face jacket for several years. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the jacket this year and how it is made. The price has increased while the quality has decreased North face definitely not how it use to be. I will be returning it!

This jacket is too short, and it's nothing like the first one. The zip under the armpit seems unnecessary.

I have an old Denali jacket which still looks great except the pockets are worn out :( , so I opted to buy another. Turns out thefleece of this jacket is so much tinner and began to pill after only a handful of washes. Now it looks shaby and cheap, and I hate wearing it in public. Pleace make quality clothes again, North Face, that will last and look good for some time.

They shortened the length significantly and are calling it "retro". I've had Denalis since the 90s and never had a cropped version like this. I do not like it at all. Not especially functional. I guess it's just a fashion statement now. Guess I'll have to stick to Patagonia for functional jackets.

I don't like this jacket at all!! I had a north face jacket like this for about 10 years and it needed replacing so I got this one, in one of my favorite colors. Other than liking the color though, I do not like this jacket nor how it fits. It seems like it's too short and pretty much every shirt, sweatshirt, etc that I wear hangs out of the bottom of the jacket. This doesn't make sense and doesn't keep me very warm. Even though I've tightened the bottom, it doesn't help. The arms seem really baggy, and the zipper doesn't even zip up high enough to keep your chest warm, unless you want it all the way zipped up and then the collar is going to be up around your face, which isn't comfortable. Overall, I'm highly disappointed with his jacket and would not buy it again. I ordered a size medium, which may have been a little bit big, but I had bought a size small north face jacket in a store and it was way too small so I figured ordering medium was the best.

The sleeves are extremely long and very wide. I really wanted to love it but I had to return it immediately. I do not recommend it for petite females.

I got this for Christmas to replace a chocolate brown Denali I had since 2012 that I loved. To say that I'm disappointed would be a gross understatement. I've been wearing North Face since I was 10 so I can tell you the quality that can be expected from a North Face. I got my first in 2006. I have a puffer coat from 2016 that I still wear. This "retro" denali is garbage. The price is pretty much the same as a Denali from ten years ago of course. But they've definitely changed to cheaper materials and/or a different manufacturer because this coat I got last month that I have worn pretty consistently since looks as worn out as the 15-year-old one did when I was forced to retire it. AND the fleece sheds. And not just on the ground. I brush out green fleece from the ends of my hair every single day when I wear this coat. Oh, and it's CROPPED that isn't clear on the site either. Cropping an already boxy jacket is a terrible idea, and the execution looks worse. I can't wear a normal-length tee with it because it looks stupid when it's zipped. Yeah, the girl in the picture with the sports bra looks cute, but no one actually wears it with just a bra underneath. It's shameful that a company that used to be known for durable outwear is of lower quality than many knockoffs. Do better, North Face.

Want people to write reviews but doesn't reward customer for doing so. Just give them a chance for a gift card so they write a good review... if you want your customers to give you a review then ask, don't dangle a gift card sweepstake in their face. Give them something they can use maybe 10 dollars off next order that way the people the need it can use it to support you

This is such a great jacket but the sleeves were EXTREMELY long. I bought a new Denali to replace my old one, but the sleeves on this version are comically long. North Face plleeeasseee fix this.

I have through the years bought the Denali Jacket. I'm a mature adult and do not like the fit of the retro Denali. While shopping, 2 other adult females said the same thing. Love the original design but not the retro, too short!

Got a new one after 6 years but the stitching is completely off, the wrists were stitched so tight I almost couldn't fit my hand through. Definitely going to the store to see if this was a new design.

I called the Michigan Avenue store and they gave the incorrect info. I needed the Denali that was not Retro and I ordered the wrong item because of the person who obviously doesn't know his product.
