I was initially so excited to receive these, but I was really disappointed to see how much the quality has gone down. The originals I bought over 10 years ago are still holding up strong they're well made and durable. I'm not so sure about this one after a few washes, I feel like it won't hold up. It also arrived with loose, shredding fabric everywhere. And yes, it's VERY cropped you will get cold. As a '90s kid, I'm honestly disappointed and ended up returning it. I'm still debating whether to size up and try a different color, just in case the fabric varies by color.

I ordered a size small based on reading other reviews and the jacket was very big and boxy. The shoulder area was huge. I am a petite female 5'02" 115lbs and was a bit disappointed. I ended up returning and buying a kids size.

It is nothing like the original Denali jacket that I have had for years and love. It is shorter in the torso and has that annoying drawstring and super annoying zippers under the armpits. Also the color shown in the picture shows the top half as the same color as the bottom half just darker. However when the jacket arrived, the top half was black. Please bring back the original Denali jacket!

Tried it on in store - super cute and warm, but the pit zips were fairly bulky and uncomfortable. Would have loved it otherwise! I wish they had a black on black logo version too.

This is a stylish fleece with a few design flaws. It is cut short but not cropped. It falls awkwardly above the waistline giving a wider look to your frame. The underarm pit vents might be useful for tactical purposes on long hikes, but for daily use, the zippers feel rigid and uncomfortable. The sleeves are awkwardly wide. I ordered an XS and it was way too bulky. Such a disappointment.

Really liked the jacket but the sleeves were way too long. Had to return it. Didn't work for me.

I do not like how it's cropped in the middle. It should be longer. And for how much the jacket cost you should get the extra material in the front and back

Crop top

The jacket is great, but it arrived with the anti-theft tag still attached; and it was difficult to remove without damaging the jacket. The first one I ordered was too small for my husband so my mom helped me return it so that I could get a refund and purchase a larger size; but the person she spoke to said that it was passed the date to be able to return, that not being fair because it was a Christmas gift bought in advance and was not able to be tried on by the recipient since it was a Christmas gift. But they did end up allowing the return, and he does love the one he has now so we are grateful.

The cropped fit of this jacket makes it for an awkward fit. The full length Denali jacket is a more comfortable fit. Otherwise great quality jacket

Bought this coat after my old one just like this finally fell apart after many, many years. Good but I wish it was a little longer on the waist

It is great quality and keeps you warm but a bit short or cropped so I hated the length of it

The fabric is warm however it's not very long, need to wear shirt to tuck in underneath.

I bought this jacket because I wanted a good outdoor cropped jacket. I bought this jacket after trying it on in the store. I surprisingly went down in size to a small from my normal medium. After wearing it for a bit, I believe I could have gone down to a size XS. The bulk under the arms with the pit zips is what is driving me crazy. I believe this design could have been pulled off with a less stiff fleece & maybe a daintier zipper. Every time I wear it, I want to like it, but I can't reconcile the mass & bulk under my arms next to my body from the faulty pit zip design. I bought at full price & I am going to return for something I enjoy wearing.

I was super excited for my chocolate brown Denali jacket I have a cream and black one as well but this came looking for purple than brown I was a little disappointed. Love the Denali tho just the color

Disappointed. Jacket is so short in the torso. It's more like a crop jacket. With my arms down, it barely hits my waist. If I lift my arms it comes to the bottom of my ribs. Sleeve length is ok.

've loved my Denali jackets since college and have owned several over the years. They've always fit perfectly, felt cozy, and been warm an ouch for our mostly mild winters. Unfortunately, this new "Retro" version really missed the mark. It's cropped and much shorter than the classic fit, which makes it less comfortable and less practical for cold weather. The extra zippers feel unnecessary, and the fleece isn't as soft as it used to be. Overall, I'm really disappointed and will be returning this jacket. I was hoping for the same quality and comfort as my previous Denalis, but sadly, this version doesn't compare. I'll be on the hunt for a new winter jacket.

I am so disappointed, this is nothing like the Denali jackets I used to have. The jacket is incredibly short in the front- I am going to have to return.

Bring back the original Denali jacket! This was too short waisted, the sleeves were too big, and I did not like the zippers under the arms. Also in the picture it showed that the contrast color on the top was a dark shade of blue but in actual fact it was black

I love The North Face Denali jacket and have owned several in the past. I returned it because the sleeves were way too wide, bunching from the underarm to the elbow. I think the fit needs to be improved.

It is obvious in the photos that this is a cropped length Denali. But why not state this in the description, TNF?? Many reviews comment on this. Disappointed in TNF.

I was gifted a mens Denali hoodie earlier this year and was looking to get another color and ordered a women's size. The quality difference is extreme, the women's definitely feels cheap and knock off in comparison to the mens and they're the same price. Really disappointed in North Face for this.

I didn't realize it was cropped. I am returning it today.

The jacket was too short.. I'm not even tall (5'3"), I can only imagine how a tall person would feel, like a cropped jacket. Also, the shape is so boxy, like it has too much fabric in the waist region. Overall, very awkward shape. Box shaped crop jacket is a more appropriate name for this.
