Nothing wrong with the shoe. Great style, color, quality. It was just not as comfortable as I had hoped.

Great boot but runs big!

I usually wear a size 9 in Most shoes. I ordered a size 8 and 9 and the 8 fits perfectly. They definitely need a break in period because they feel stiff.

Lots of room, maybe a bit too much. Could have gone down a half size if that was an option. Very happy with the look. Aztec color gives a good worn look that makes it seem like you’ve been wearing them for a good amount of time already.

Read reviews that said they run large so I ordered a size down. Nope. Should have ordered my regular size. Returning and will order correct size.

I love these shoes! But. ..I had bought a size 10 a while back and they were so small they killed my feet over the top of the foot, so I ordered a size up and I swim in them,

I have enjoyed Dr Maartens for years. I have never worn high tops before but love the look. On my right foot, the fit is perfect, but on the left, the tongue hits my shin, and it's not comfortable. I have found that I just have to refrain from tying the left shoe too tight. I think it will be ok. Love the look and of course, the durability and quality are outstanding.

These were too large, so it was difficult to assess the overall fit and arch support. I’ve ordered 1 size down now, so hoping they won’t be too narrow!

I wear an 8.5, usually 9 in boots but the 7UK was too big in these. The 6UK worked better. Love the classic docs style.

I tried these on to compare to the 1460W - and I definitely liked the 1460W better... the 1460 is ever so slightly higher which hit me in an uncomfortable spot on my lower calf. Also, the inside where the tongue is sewn in has a bit too much excess leather that you could feel fold over when you put your foot in the boot - creating and uncomfortable lump.

Bought these for my brother-in-law who could not get them on his feet because he has a very high instep (that's the top part of the foot). Tried and tried, but he just couldn't pull them over his instep.

These use to be my husbands favorite boots...when they were made in England. These are no where near the same quality as his previous pair. He loves the style and fit of these, but they just aren’t made as well as they use to be.

I actually loved this boot and was excited to have another pair (used to have a pair from the 90s). However, a grommet that the laces go through was defective and not even installed - it was just hanging there. Given this, I sent them back. I really wish they were still made in England! You can tell the quality has gone down.

Can we talk about these iconic boots? Super comfortable! These bad boys can be worn for hours and still feel great! These Dr. Martens stay true to their historic roots of being durable and edgy. Punk-rock meets fashion. Thank you, Dr. Martens!!

I sent these back so this review is just to give any future shoppers insight into sizing. In 'normal' shoes I wear a women's 7.5 and in boots and running shoes an 8. I ordered these in UK6/M7/W8. Length-wise they fit. And the insole was comfortable - had a fair amount of cushion. However the part around the ankles was huge. If I tightened the laces as tight as they could go the two sides met or even over-lapped. So there was just too much fabric (leather). I don't have especially skinny ankles either so I don't know what I could've done except wear super thick socks which would've made the foot too tight. I also tried the women's 1460 and it had the same too-big feeling around the ankle but also it felt narrow to me around the toebox. So I'm bummed but I couldn't get these to work. I used to wear them 20 years ago but I guess then I didn't care so much about comfort and just wore thick-thick socks and they were ok.

Bought these as a gift for a friend. The classic style is timeless and it's a very versatile boot. He needed them for work since he's on his feet all day and wanted decent ankle support . He said they definitely needed breaking in , so don't expect to wear them for hours straight out of the box. But they seem to be well made and are otherwise comfortable .

These gave me a blister on my right ankle. They provide medium arch support. However you can buy high arch dr Marten insoles that provide excellent arch support and once they are broken in you can put them in your boots. I don’t know how long it takes to break them in as I’ve only had them w couple of days. I have a similar pair in the Virginia style but they didn’t require breaking in.

Quirky, fun style and image on high quality Doc Martin boots. I was afraid the design would rub off over time, but thus far, they still look great. Little big (wish there were half sizes) but adding the Doc Martin shoe inserts snugged them right up. Love these boots - they get lots of compliments and attention!!

LOVE love love the pattern on these boots! Fun, funky, wild. I get tons of comments every time I wear them. I typically wear a 6.5, these were a bit big, so I added the Dr. Marten's insoles which snugged them up to be more comfortable. Hoping that the pattern doesn't wear or rub off over time, but otherwise these seem to have the standard high quality of Dr. Martens.

I really like the classic styling of Doc Marten's boots. For a boot they are pretty comfortable. I have had many pairs in the past but i have one major complaint. The English sizing chart is just the worst, the shoes go directly from a 10.5 U.S. to a 11.5 U.S. where is the 11? this seems to be the only size they skip. So the boots are always for me too tight or too loose. You would think they would have enough demand for a size 11 but no such luck.

These are no longer made in England; you need to look for the Vintage line for that. These took quite a bit of breaking in but are still going 10+ years later.

My first pair of Docs, these feel a bit too big and are a bit chunkier than I usually like in a boot. I haven't worn them much, but they seem comfortable enough. They'll work for winter and thick socks.
