The Speedgoat 6 is not a plush shoe and the shoe is narrower than the Speedgoat 5. The shoe offers no stability. This shoe is definitely not up to the job of a backpacking shoe for those reasons. I wore it for a 25 mile backpacking trip and ended up in an orthotic boot for 8 weeks due to bone bruises.

Great shoe and love the Hoka brand but the shoes shipped to me by Zappos were clearly worn; the insert in the shoe has an imprint of someone else's foot and it was clear from some creases in the toe box and lacing of the shoes that they had been previously worn.

For years, I've relied on several pairs of Hokas and have always known them to be a high-quality brand. After wearing down my last pair from trail running, I picked out a new pair just this past Christmas. Unfortunately, after only a few, very brief uses, the fabric over my toes completely cracked and shredded at the very beginning of my last trail run.
I treated them with care, exactly as instructed on the website, and stored them properly. I was shocked and incredibly disappointed that this happened to a pair of shoes that were practically brand newONLY 6 MONTHS OLD & HARDLY USED!!
I submitted a warranty return request and was denied, with the explanation that it was a "result of accidental damage" and not a "manufacturing defect." You can clearly see by the soles that the shoes are barely worn! This is absolutely not due to misuse! THIS IS 100% A MANUFACTURER ISSUE!!
My family of seven has been loyal to Hoka for years. We've each owned multiple pairs for all the activities we do, and we've always loved the brand and shared it with others. But this experience has left us all extremely disappointedand unfortunately, we will now be looking at other brands for our footwear.

Felt comfortable trying on at first but only got worse. So stiff and tight around the toes that my feet went numb after a short hike and I had to cut it short. Used once and switched for the Mafate. Now that is comfort!

These do not provide the signature Hoka comfort. I have arthritis in my feet and Hokas are normally my go to shoe. The speed goats are not, they have a narrow toe box and it seems the heal drop is not there. I do not recommend if you are buying because you normally can wear Hokas these do not provide the normal Hoka experience. Im sending back. Very sad

I have loved speed goats for years. I was happy to buy the 6's for this years hiking season. I've worn them a dozen times on trail only and they are horrible. My feet hurt from the moment I put them on until I take them off. Sadly I'm past my return window and can't even get my money back.

These shoes took forever to put on my feet. I have a high instep. Once I got it on the toebox was ok, but the instep area was way to tight.

These shoes were a complete disappointment. Not comfortable, fits all wrong and too tight. Rubber is obnoxious. Returned them the day after being received.

Toe Box is not wide enough and the shoe is too long and narrow. I've never had a size "8" be too long but these were. I wish you would offer a wide in this shoe in the better colors. I hate black tennis shoes on a female.

This is a poorly designed shoe. The tongue is sewn into the shoe and it is impossible to get your foot in it. Even once I was able to jam my foot in and there was plenty of space in the toe area, the arch of my foot felt crammed.
