this is a very stable shoe. It feels slightly narrow, but it really distributes the weight across your foot. I live in an area where there is snow on the ground a lot of the time and so I really appreciate the Gore-Tex finish on this shoe. I use it mainly for walking. I had an ACL reconstruction surgery nine months ago and I walk across mud and unstable ground in the forest near where I live when I wear the ghost 16 gtx I am very confident that I will not slip.

Fit great, just like the Ghost 16. I did go up 1/2 size. Ive put a little over 50 miles on these spanning 12 runs. I reserve them for cold, snowy, sloppy days and they work great. No water gets in. No more dodging slush puddles. I plan to also wear them on rainy days but I live in Michigan and we in our snowy season.

Same great quality I have grown to expect from my Brooks running shoes. I have been running with Brooks Ghost for more than 10 years. The feel is a bit different with the GTX...the upper is a bit more stiff than the traditional Ghost. The shoe tongue is less padded and detracts slightly from the over all comfort. Having the GTX for certain weather conditions is worth the trade offs.

I have worn nothing but Ghosts for years. They were the best fitting and most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I don't know what changes you have made to the Ghost 16, but the fit was very different and really tight through the toe box. The fit was nothing like the Ghost 15 and it's predecessors. I am so disappointed. I can't imagine why you would change a shoe that has been so successful for so long.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I've had so many of Ghost Brooks shoes over the years, I've never veered from them because they've given me no reason to....until now. I do t know what was changed to the design, but these shoes are now unbearable for me. The toe box is what has changed and it's painful. I even had another person try them on and immediately said the same. There's rigidity in the toe box and it bends it towards the toes and no amount of breaking them in changes it. I'm bitter enough about it that for the first time in over a decade of buying Brooks Ghost shoes, I'm done.

Great shoe, Being waterproof is really nice when in the wet grass. These shoes are comfortable and the cushioning is nice.

I'm training for my first marathon & these shoes have been exactly what I need to go the weekly miles. The support & cushion are just right for my arch, heel & ankle areas while the toe box is roomy enough let my toes move around a bit. I love the addition of the laces strap added to the tongue.

I had a pair of these before this purchase and is the reason I purchased another pair. I love the Ghost 16 GTX because they keep my feet dry at work. My shoes can be wet a good portion of my work day so I don't want wet feet as well. Brooks has finally made the Ghost GTX more comfortable and a little wider, if there was a wide version then I could order women's shoes instead of men's. I walk from 4 to 8 miles or more a day at work and I feel that these broke down quicker then the Ghost 15 GTX. I felt that the front part of my foot didn't have the support after 3 months. I like having dry and comfortable feet so I will continue to purchase them.

I needed new work shoes, and I've known about Brooks since middle school. So when I started looking for new shoes I figured I'd need trail running for my line of work (Fedex Delivery Driver) I walk about 3 miles everyday at work, combined with climbing in and out of the back of my work van, and in all elements. These shoes have been amazing to me, I never owned a pair until this pair. They have got to be one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, especially to work in. I highly recommend these as they are also, WATERPROOF!

I would say identical support and feel to the previous Ghost GTXes. Really comfortable with a great fit. My only wish would be better colors (like the electric blue of the previous gen.)

I am not a runner, just a senior guy who jogs with his dog every morning. Never had a pair of "running" shoes till now. What a difference in comfort and support. My stride is smoother and impact is far softer on my feet. We do both on and of road (not challenging terrain but grass, dirt and uneven areas) and the ghost's support is firm and performs equally well. Being waterproof is a blessing on dewey mornings and rainy days. Very happy with these shoes, recommended to me by both my adult Grandaughter and Grandson.

First off the Ghost 16 GTX seems to run small. I ordered my normal size 12 and the right show was narrow and tight. The left seemed fine. I have been wearing Brooks for around d20 years from Ravenna's Adrenelines, Glycerins and even Addiction walkers. This is the first time a 12 did not fit perfectly. So I ordered a 12.5 and they fit better. Feel great so far. So think about the material of the GoreTex liner when ordering.

Somewhat narrow in the toe box , but a very supportive and comfortable sneaker. After being a Asics customer for over 30 years in my opinion they just don't make a supportive sneaker with goretex anymore.

Need a wide version in GTX. Or a waterproof wide in Ghost Max

In reality I was not as impressed as I was looking online. Color scheme looks more good only online. Comfort is great but I wished it looked the same as in pictures.
