so i loved the left shoe, fit contoured to my foot, but the right shoe seemed asymmetric and felt as if my toes were curving over the padding at the ball of my foot, causing it to feel like my foot was leaning forward. if they were the same i definately would have kept these, it just felt too different, the cushioning is definately soft and plush.

Decided to give Ghost Max a try after being extremely happy with the last 5 versions of Ghosts, but found the toe box tight and uncomfortable for my feet despite same size as Ghost. Ride was fine, but a bit too softgoing back to regular Ghost.

Sizing is TTS - but notably more narrow toebox and more clingy upper as compared to the Max 1 - which is one of my favorite all time shoes. Would need to size up to make it work but makes the fit a little sloppy. Hope they go back in the other direction with next version. A little firmer base than prior too - depends on your preference.

I was disappointed with this shoe for several reasons. First, I have Parkinson's Disease, and so I have a diminished sense of balance. The forward pitch of this shoe gives me the feeling that my upper body is outrunning my feet and I took a hard fall on the 8th time I wore the shoe. Second, the tread wear seems to be accelerated compared to other Brooks running shoes I have worn. On the plus side, the shoe has lots of cushion, and were it not for the uncomfortable forward pitch, I'd probably have given it 4 to 4.5 stars. One other thing...in the past, Brooks size 11..5 US has always fit well, but in this shoe, I think a size 12 US would have fit me better.

I wanted to buy the Dyad 11 in size 14 4E but it was discontinued. I was directed to the Ghost Max 2. The Dyad 11 had a better quality tread design and tread material composition (rubber?) compared with the Ghost Max 2 which appeared to be made of a plastic composite. Dyad 11's had a more neutral foot strike compared with the Ghost Max 2 which strikes more on the ball of the foot.

Big fan of Ghost Max. I found that the Ghost Max 2 had a much narrower toe box which required me to go up a half size but it was still narrow. I'd recommend getting a wide size even if you don't wear wide. Hopefully this will be corrected in the Ghost Max 3.

The feel great but are heavier than I am use to. Overall I am happy with the purchase. I used them in a half marathon.

Appear well made with good cushion but narrow in width and "short" in size. Will return.

Unfortunately they are too small. I always get sneakers in the same size but these are too short. Otherwise they are very comfy. Wish I had exchanged them before I wore them outside..

You mentioned that the drop is 6 mm, while the reality, according to the runrepeat website, is that the drop is 10 mm. Anyway, the shoes are fantastic and comfortable. I would like to point out that you need to take one size larger. I selected my shoes extra wide

I purchased because I read some reviews indicating it was stiff and supportive, and my purpose was to use as a walking shoe. The platform was nice and wide. However, the platform is much too high for me and walking around was like a balancing act. Also, it was more squishy than what was described, so most of my energy was spent on balancing and stepping instead of forward motion. Maybe the dynamics of the shoe are different for running?

Not for me. My podiatrist recommended this for intestinal Achilles tendonitis. I also have tendonitis in my knee and the ankle support hurt my knee. Going to try the trail kind for firmer support

Ghost max 2 wide is too tight, and lenght feels like a 10, I ordered 10.5 2E and shoes and they feel snug

Drastically different from the ghost max. The sole is too stiff and the heel pocket is too rigid. I returned Max2. Don't change what works!

I am sure that it is a great shoe for runners. My situation is a bit different, being 76 with some considerable wear and tear issues from past running and other things, including 1 foot being fused. For my purposes, this shoe is far too " squishy" making it not a stable platform. I had used Dyads for decades and was trying to find a suitable replacement after they were discontinued. This isn't it

I originally bought the Brooks Ghost Max in 9.5 Wide to accommodate my orthotics, but they ended up being too big and the orthotics too hard. Then I purchased the Ghost Max 2 in size 9 Regular to wear without orthotics, but they are uncomfortably, unwearably tight. I hate when a manufacturer tweaks a model and changes the size >.<

My first time trying Ghost Max 2. At first I really liked them, but as I wore them for a few hour’s in my house two different times I noticed they seem to run more narrow compared to my Glycerin 20s and 21s. And the part that goes around the top of the shoe/toe area was stiff and started to hurt my big toe. I’m not sure if it’s just this particular shoe style or Brooks is starting to change the quality of their shoes. I hope not because I’ve been happy with my glycerins. And they have great customer service too.

Tight toe box and shorter than my Hoka Bondi size 13. Although Brooks describes as plush, it's firm compared to my Bondi 7 which has been poorly redesigned to Bondi 8 - thus my search for an alternative.

Not a runner, but I stand and walk all day with my work. I have high arches and these shoes, for me personally just weren't a good fit. However, my husband has a pair and loves them and he makes about 13,000 steps daily. Good for some!

Cushioning is greatthere is a forward lean to them and not as stable as the product description. They'll do, but won't buy again.

I HAVE WORN GLYCERIN EXCLUSIVELY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WHEN IT WAS STATED THAT THE GHOST MAX WOULD HAVE THE SAME CUSHIONING AS THE GLYCERIN, I DECIDED TO TRY A PAIR-MAINLY FOR THE BEAUTIFUL COLOR. THE SHOES WERE INDEED BEAUTIFUL. I WORE THEM AROUND THE HOUSE FOR SEVERAL HOURS. I KNEW THEN THAT I WOULD NEED TO RETURN THEM. THE SHOES WERE NOT AS COMFORTABLE ON MY FEET AS THE GLYCERIN: CUSHIONING, TOE WIDTH, OVERALL COMFORT. I HAVE HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH MY FEET, AND I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER-STICK WITH GLYCERIN!!!!!

Couldn't give 5 stars as the fit seems to have changed and the shoe seems shorter and more narrow. I have reordered in a different size. The color is beautiful though, and the cushioning seems more energetic.
