I'm a runner but I did not buy these for running. These are my work shoes and I love them. Good recovery shoes to wear all day after my morning run.

I put 25k steps, 6 days a week on these bad boys. They are very comfortable and fit perfectly - Brooks Max for life!

I am a nurse that is on my feet at least 12 hours a day and I have wore Hokas for several years but they just seem to break down really fast so I finally decided to try the new Ghost Max 2s. They are soooo comfortable, at the end of my shift my feet are the only things on my body that don't hurt, and the material they are made of just feels like it is of higher quality than my Hokas. Now, let's just see how they hold up but so far I'm excited.

I have arthritis in my feet. I wore these for 2 weeks and my feet did fine with the cushion right from the beginning. I also bought a pair of Hoka which I wore for 6 hours at work and my feet hurt bad enough I'm not using them for work again.

Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, they take away the soreness I've been fighting for many months. I'm not a runner, but walk a lot and they've been marvelous

Love this shoe, very comfortable and well cushioned. I also enjoy how it feels like the shoe propels me forward when I walk or run. They're also a decent price in my opinion for what you get. Would recommend to a friend.

I've been a long time fan of Ghosts but the Max 2 is absolutely the best shoe I have ever run in. Maximum cushion, excellent heel-toe motion through the stride, and returned energy throughout the entire run!

These shoes are extremely comfortable and the cushioning is great. My body did not respond well to them so I returned them for a pair of regular Brooks Ghost 16s. I'm used to running in Ghosts but I think the Max cushioning allowed me to over stride which hurt my knees. I'd definitely recommend them if you're needing extra cushion and I'm very happy that Brooks has their 90 day try and bully policy!

Firstly, the 6mm midsole drop introduced with the Ghost Max 1 and kept in the 2 has been a real gift for me as I don't feel that I am being launched forward as with the 10 and 12mm shoes. Thank you Brooks! The Ghost Max 2 is a nice improvement over the Ghost Max 1. The outsole and the nitro infused midsole are much more stable and durable than those of the Ghost Max 1. For myself the 2 fits my size 14 wide foot much better. Definitely my favorite Brooks shoe now.

This shoe has a lot of cushion. It's nice not to feel the road and instead I feel a supportive sole under my feet. However, I wish the shoe toe was more rounded and in the shape of an actual foot so that I didn't have to purchase 3 sizes larger than I normally wear. The front of the shoe squeezes together my toes and caused tented toe nails. Also made my bunions worse. Would be good if there was more room on the outside of the big toe, because it presses your toe against the 2nd toe. I guess that's due to the more pointed front of the shoe. I noticed the inside of the shoe doesn't quite measure what a 4E should measure, I see you try to make up for that with more fabric on the top, but wish the shoes were actually shaped like a wide foot, that would be helpful. I don't purchase these shoes for fashion, I purchase them for comfort and stability. I'm noticing a lot of the shoe manufacturers are doing the same thing with the more pointed front, why is that? These are one of the last brands that carries an extra wide width, please stop streamlining the shoe shape.

Hoka cushioning on a Brooks last. Never had this much cushioning before from Brooks. I have 2 pair of Ghost 15s but changing to Max "forever" (or until the next innovation).

I purchased the Ghost Max 2 to try out since I normally purchase the Ghost series. I tried them for the first time a couple days ago, they seem rather stiff as opposed to the regular Ghost shoes. I purchase the men's version since they seem to fit me better than the women's shoes, and I like the fact I can order a wide width that fits my foot better and seems to be more comfortable when I walk, which is usually about 15 miles/day. I will keep wearing these, maybe they just need to be broken in a little more...time will tell!

Took a couple walks to break in, wish it had higher ankle supports but you get excellent energy return on your steps with the foam bottoms and they are surprisingly lightweight for the size.

Nothing really wrong with the shoes. Slight upgrade from the original. But I haven't been actually running much due to some leg weakness and asthma issues. Mostly walking lately and it's a nice cushiony alternate, but I slightly prefer the regular Ghost. It currently has plenty of cushion but my stride feels just a bit more natural. Wish I could give it running evaluation. (Age 80. Walking mileage 4-5/day now. Several halfs and tens until last year.)

Super comfortable in every way. Just felt a little restricted on the road, but the comfort trumps the slower feel.

These are very comfortable and cushiony. I have bunions and appreciate the wide toe box which was as advertised.
