I've been running for 25 years and these are my favorite running shoes ever.

I have been very happy with this shoe. I was running in Asics but they have been transitioning most of their shoes to a higher stack height which I'm not a fan of. I wanted a light weight shoe that has a firmer feel with some pop and no internal plate. This shoe ended up being exactly what I was looking for. I also purchased a pair for my 13 year old daughter who is a runner. She loves them. She was in Asics as well.

Great shoe, lightweight and feels much faster than my previous training shoes

I'm in the Army, I generally run 10-20 miles a week, so good shoes are important to me. I had a pair of Hoka Clifton 8's, which is funny because they boast about how light of a shoe it is, but these are cheaper, lighter, better quality, look better (in my opinion) and overall a way better shoe. This is my first pair of Brooks and they might have won me over for all my future running shoe purchases. I love these shoes.

I've been running in these for about a month now 3 days per week and average about 15 miles/week. These have been great for me so far. I also have a pair of ghost 15's that I was using primarily before purchasing these and liked them as well. The Hyperions are noticeably lighter and are a faster shoe. There is a little less cushion than the ghost, but I don't mind. They have a more springy feel than the ghost, which makes up for it. Overall, these have become my go to shoe and I am enjoying putting miles on them.

This shoe is amazing. Worth every bit of the price. Uppers are padded and ventilated. Shoe is very light. DNA flash midsole is firm. Tread is thin with light texture. flat laces and forked tongue appreciated. I had the Hyperion tempo before this, and thought it was great, but this shoe is a whole next level.

So great I avoid rain because they are so beautiful (looking and feeling) ran in all the hyperions and launches, these are the best yet. Shout out to the people who chose the laces, the grip allows micro adjustments. - love Curtis

I don't know if it's the placebo effect of what, but it's way easier to run in these. They feel so fast!

Great speed shoe. I can feel the shoe giving me a boost I'm not used to in my daily trainers.

It has been a long time since I Have enjoyed issue this much. The shoe was overall very lightweight and out sell as a pleasant soft but lively feel to it. The amount of rocker fits my outer mid foot strike and transitioning the top off feels very smooth and natural. The upper is comfortable and as someone who tends to keep their shoes loose I do not experience any heel slippage. My only complaint is the laces don't stay tied well, I actually only had to tie the previous Hyperions once and slip them on and off. However for these ones, I've had to stop and tie them during runs a few times so far. Also, the tongue does not consistently live flat I think the previous Hyperion tongue design with this new padding would be more ideal.

Wore these out of the box for a 5k race. They worked great! Light and very responsive. Comfortable too. I'm still a fan of 'old school' racing shoes (ie, the slimmed down shoes of yore). While these have a fair bit more cushioning than traditional racing shoes, they don't feel bulky. I also like a speed/race shoe without a plate. These fit the bill. Well done Brooks! Please maintain a shoe like this that's not too beefy in your lineup!

Bottom Line - I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend these to anyone. I've gotten about 15-20 miles in, and really like the fit and feel of this shoe. I don't love overly cushioned shoes, and these fit that bill. They are very light and comfortable making them perfect for the few runs I've had them on. They still felt comfortable into mile 7 of a decent run. For context, I've trained for, and run, my last several 1/2 marathons in the Levitate (which I feel like gets a bad rep - great shoe) - the Hyperions are lighter to run in, and I'll be curious to see if they hold up like the Levitates do.

Killer shoe. Light and springy helps you go fast but shaped such that you can comfortably settle into a zone 2 pace whereas I found previous Hyperion / Hyperion max versions really positioned you in such a way that it felt awkward not to run fast.

This is my go to shoe for speed/tempo runs. I really like the low to ground feeling and feels super stable coming around turns on a track. The upper is breathable and midsole is very comfortable. These really come alive at higher paces. Can't wait to use these for my next 5k

Purchased for my teenage son who runs cross country. He loves the weight and comfort of the shoe and actually prefers it to the Ghost2, which has been his go-to. He says it feels "faster".

These shoes are fast!! Love the laces! Very natural, easy cushion drop. Just put them through a 5k and performed beyond expectation. Would definitely recommend! Anxious to see how they'll hold up for 10k/+

I like them! I'm very impressed by them! Very roomy and an easy fit especially those who seldom have discomfort when running. These are great! I was wearing an ASICS brand before this and I can say that these are much better. Especially, as I said, when you factor in the comfort that you may need when running. These have shown to be an added bonus. Also. The design. I love this particular design. I am not a fan of the other designs for the other running shoes but on this one I am. If they make more of these with this same type of design then for sure I will be buying more

Purchased these for my first official marathon. I had previously run a 3:45 marathon and my goal was 3:30. I did a 12-week training plan, and my peak week was 45 miles. I ran my goal time and shoes felt great. I have continued to train (not as a daily trainer) in these shoes and ran a 10k this past weekend with a respectable time.

These shoes really hit the mark. Fast and light and leave me wanting to run in them. I ran a half marathon and had no concerns about their cushioning over time. Put it simply, these shoes rock. I will add for clarity that I find they are slightly narrower than my other running shoes. Not so much that it's a problem, but noticeable.

I got these primarily for heavy walking. I have larger feet and border on 11.5 and 12 normally, sometimes 11.5 wide. Most important is room at the forefoot where mine are thick. These feel a touch snug there but they are comfortable and feel like they may wear in a little but very comfortable. They fit at least as comfortably as my typical 11.5 with the obvious advantage of a flexible lightweight upper that will accommodate a lot more than sturdier materials. I think this are great so far. A lot softer than I was expecting and looking for but not bad especially in use. I don't have any issues slipping or shifting around in them. No soreness or blisters in the forefoot at all like what happens in other shoes. I think that these are a bit better than the ghost for prolonged walking. Less than 2 miles at a time is fine for the ghosts but I felt even more comfortable in these after that. They are EXTREMELY breathable, I was able to feel a cool breeze outside which is pretty rare for me no matter the shoe. Will update if anything changes over time such as premature wear or breaking down.

Brooks Product Team - Please don't change this shoe! You've cracked the code. This is your 911; your Omega Speedster! This is the best shoe I've every run in. I came to this shoe in a round about way. Initially I purchased the Asics Superblast 2, based on the hype and the claims it was a do it all shoe. I needed something to train in over the winter ahead of Boston and based on the reviews the Superblast was the perfect choice. Wrong! Dead wrong! It felt like I was running in clown shoes. It took me only two runs in that shoe to feel like I lost my stride. I promptly retuned the Superblasts and went in search of a shoe that actually felt good on my foot. Enter the Hyperion 2. The Hyperion felt like it was made for my foot. Thank you Brooks!!! I was a little hesitant because the sales person I was working with said he wouldn't advise running over 10 miles per secession in this shoe, which my training calls for on a somewhat frequent basis. I thought, what the heck, I can always add a long distance shoe to the mix for those runs. It took me 1 mile into my first run to start thinking about when I should buy a second pair of this shoe. By 3 miles I felt like my stride had never been better. By 5 miles I was thinking "this is the best shoe I've ever run in!" By 7 miles I felt like I'd rediscovered my love for running. By 8 miles I had written this review in my mind several times. I've never written a review about running shoes in my life. An hour after an 8 mile run I think the sales person who said not to take this shoe out for more than 10 miles is dead wrong. My legs feel great! My run was supposed to be 8 miles at an easy pace, which usually translates to around 7:30's in my Sacuany Speed 4's. My average pace in the Hyperion 2 was 7:17. These shoes should be a required purchase for all runners. They teach you how it should feel to run. In a world of mushy, no feeling, clunky shoes, the Hyperion 2 is pure running clarity. Brooks - Thank you for making this shoe! You've hooked me as a customer and brought me back from the likes of Hoka, Saucony, and Asics. I will own multiple pairs of this shoe and would love to see a Marathon race version of this shoe developed. To all perspective buyers of this shoe - you must buy this shoe... You'll rediscover what running should feel like!

The Hyperion 2 is my first Brooks shoe and what a revelation, fast, light and comfortable. Have had this shoe for 2 weeks now and since have set my fastest 5k and 10k. Ground contact and feel are the highlights of this shoe and as an old school runner who prefers less stack height this shoe is perfect for me. The advantage I've gained over my previous Nike Pegasus 38 is roughly 20 seconds per mile with the same relative effort. Well done Brooks, I absolutely love this shoe.

These shoes are great. I transitioned to the 2's from Tempos and was worried about the feel but they are so comfortable on my feet. I wear insoles so I probably get a bit more bounce than typical but that's fine with me. The only issue that I have is that I tend to run at a quicker pace than I do in other shoes, so I have to be aware of that on longer runs. I also like the larger toe box. No more squished toes.

Good fit, not too bouncy. I bought for a training shoe in my rotation, however after running in it about three times, I think I'm going to use for training and for an upcoming 5K run!

Really great shoe. Tad bulky, but provides awesome stability and comfort. Definitely recommend over the next level up. Have had two pair of the Hyperion shoes fail me with loud g popping noise of recoil piece. However, these shoes have held their ground with my many steps as a nurse each day.
