Best athletic shoe I've ever owned. I need maximum support for a previously injured foot and ankle and this shoe gives it too me. I own six pairs.

Absolutely love these shoes! I am a physical therapist and a farm girls so I am on my feet a lot. I have nerve damage in my feet and these are the only shoes I have found that I can wear without my custom orthotics. I also have plantar fasciitis and they work well for the condition for me. I have had other styles of brooks and I have had to use my orthotics in them, if I do then I have to size up a half size, but with these I can wear my normal size. Thanks brooks!! Please don't change them! But I do wish they came in more colors.

I have developed a condition called PTTD where I get micro tears in a tendon that build scar tissue which shortens the tendon which then pulls on the ankle when I walk. Very painful. I'm 70 and apparently this is not an uncommon condition, particularly if you have flat feet, as I do. I've been wearing other Brooks shoes, but switched to these when the situation got worse. I spoke w/a customer service rep who said these were the most supportive shoes. They are really quite incredible. Been wearing for around 3 weeks and pain has dramatically lessened which means my ankle is being better supported when I walk so the tendon isn't being overly stretched and tearing! So grateful since I've been on vacation and walking about 3 miles a day. Many thanks to Brooks which makes such a commitment to foot/leg health!

I have worn several different Brooks shoes. Ariel GTS is by far the most comfortable. It has a great cushion and great support. I am 84 years old and I recommend them for any senior who enjoys walking. I just wish they came in more colors.

These are my go-to shoes. I need extra support due to having pronation, and these have been really helpful in preventing that.

I am not a runner but have been looking for comfortable, supportive sneakers because I do walk a lot. These are the best I have found. Cushioned, supportive, roomy toe box. I can wear them all day and no complaints. Bought 2nd pair just in case. Wish they came in more colors.

I love the feel and fit of the Ariel GTS 24. My first pair was a pretty teal blue and I liked that it had color but wasn't too wild because I like to wear them for everyday use as well as exercise walking and some running. They don't look clunky and don't make my feet look big. I decided to get a real neutral shade next so I got a greyish beige style. Most recently I got the Mercury/ebony/sweet lavender and this is my favorite color so far. Very neutral overall but the lavender part adds a lot of style. They are a very supportive, stable shoe which is important to me as I am in my 70s and need that. The only negative is that this most recent shoe did not have the same type of shoelaces as the first two pairs. Those laces stay tied even when you don't double-knot them. The laces on the newest pair are flatter instead of round and I always worry they will come untied if I don't double knot.

Poor SupportGreat Support
My last purchase of Brooks (several yrs ago) were a tad narrower than the ones I bought a few yrs before that. So, taking into account some reviews I went ahead a ordered extra wide. In this style that was just a little too wide. Returning for regular wide. The sand color is very nice and the shoe is well made and cushion-y. The GTS system is the support I need and the heel is not too wide.

Love the look and fit. I've worn this shoe style for 22 years. Have tried other brands and other styles of Brooks without success. It is a great shoe fit for high arches, and need for wide width. It would be fun to have more color choices.

This is my favorite Brooks shoe, and I own a lot of them. I often have foot pain and have to stop what I'm doing to sit down. These offer great support and comfort. Wish more colors were offered.

Awesome shoes!!! My wife has problematic feet, complicated by diabetes, finding shoes has always been a challenge. She also is an overpronator. The Ariel helped stabilized her feet and ankles with its GTS design (Go To Support). She doesn't run currently, but it has been fantastic for walking, and it has improved her gait immensely. She also likes the shoes too, which is a major factor.

Extremely comfortable and very supportive. I walk for them 12 hours a day at work. I always size up one from my normal shoe size and tennis shoes and am consistently always the same size in Brooks.

I continue to buy Brooks Ariel shoes and have for years. They were recommended by my foot doctor and they provide the needed support I need. Until I actually try on something different that I think works better, I will continue to purchase Brooks Ariel. One thing I noticed with this last pair I ordered is the shoelaces are cut short enough it makes it more difficult to tie them. Not a big difference, but definitely noticeable! I am not a runner, but they are my go-to shoe for good support!

I love this shoe. I have a collapsed arch so this shoe is ALL I wear. Literally. I'd be lost without my Ariel's so please don't ever stop making them. I ordered the solid black, but I have say, in the sun they are navy blue; didn't expect that.
