The shoes are not black, theyre more like a navy color. They fit nice- but I was expecting a black color.

Love, love, love these shoes! So much support and my feet never get tired! Right now, I am wearing them in the house to do a lot of 'catch up' work as I am behind because of health reasons. Soon, I hope to be out on the road! These are sooo comfortable!!

Ordered in wide. As someone with plantar fasciitis and flat feet, these are extremely comfortable for all day walking. Felt like I was walking on clouds on a recent trip to Italy.

Ive always love the Ariel GTS but the colors leaves much to be desired. Those who wear the Ariels want to be fashionable also and your shoes can add a pop of color to any outfit. All the other Brooks running shoes comes in fun and fresh colors like bright oranges, Army green, bright blues etc. so why cant the Ariels have the same colors? A all white shoes would be great too because it goes with everything.

The shoes are comfortable, toe box is good and fits nice around my ankle. The cushioning and arch support are limited, I use an orthotic insert which helps tremendously. I like the flat shoe strings, they are easy to tie and stay tied. The color is advertised as black but in the sunlight has a definite blue-tint, not a major issue. Overall I like the shoes, have been wearing them for a month with no issues.

I liked the overall look on my feet; however its a tight fit, although its my normal size, 10.5. I saw that its made in Vietnam, my experience with the Eastern manufacturers is that they make a smaller size.

I am obsessed with these shoes! I love the design and subtle purple/grey color which coordinated with a variety of my outfits. I so often have to break in shoes, but these were comfortable from the beginning! Although I initially was worried about the larger height of the sole, once on I didnt notice a drastic difference. I love the softness of the shoelaces which make them easier to stay tied! These shoes are incredibly versatile as I have worn them to work, running, errands, and on a day out with the kids! They are comfortable, soft, have a slight bounce, a secure fit, and are durable! A 10/10 recommendation from me!

These shoes are very comfortable and provide a lot of support. Ive worn these while doing longer runs and also working 12-hour shifts on my feet and my feet feel great afterwards. These shoes are stylish and look great on. I like how they almost seem to hug at the top, around the ankle, which just feels like it provides extra support and comfort - I also dont have the issue of rocks getting inside due to this. The fabric has held up well too. Overall, would definitely recommend!

I typically run between 11-25 miles a week as I like to train for races (5K to 1/2 Marathons) and also like to go on frequent walks with my dog and baby. From my first glance, I loved the color and design of the shoe. The purple soles are cute and the color goes well with a lot of my workout clothes! The heel height feels significant, but wasn't uncomfortable or bulky feeling. The fabric on the shoes was breathable and comfortable to wear for longer periods. My one big issue with the Ariel GTS 24 was the height of the back heel area. Compared to other running/cross training shoes I own, the shoe didn't come up as high and felt a bit awkward against my ankle. The more I wore them, the more I could get used to it, but it isn't ideal for my running/cross training activities. I'd love to see a slightly higher back area so it covers more of my ankle and feels a little more natural to me! I continued to wear the shoes, and they were easy to break in, a good weight, and otherwise comfortable to wear!

I’ve been wearing Brooks Ariel for many years. I ordered ebony and it is either navy or dark gray. Also shoelaces are short.

The tongue of the shoe is too big, slides to the side and irritates my ankles. They feel hard too. these are marked as maximum support but they feel like rocks. I hate them but am stuck with them because I wore them hoping they would feel better - they do not. I've worn 2 other types of Brooks before and loved them but of course they discontinue styles all the time so I keep having to find replacements.

I have been buying Brooks for at least 15 years and love them. This shoe just didn’t feel right. It was too big and wide. Nice looking but didn’t feel supporting.

I love Brooks Ariel, but sometimes, if it's not broken - don't fix it. My feet refused to believe the Ariel GTS 24 has a 12mm drop, which I need. They also feel a LOT narrower than the Ariel 20. Thankful that I can return them.

These shoes were like wearing bricks on your feet. Extremely hard and very rigid! After wearing them around the house for two hours my feet ached.

I would have loved to wear the Ariel GTD 24 but I found the toe box too narrow and I could not tolerate that. Tried for a long time. Everything else was great so this was a disappointment. Luckily I was able to order the Brooks Beast and after a few tries I settled on a size that works for me. The cushioning and support is just great and I have severe pronation in one foot. I have never wanted to wear a men's shoe but in this case it worked out very well. If changes are made to the toe box in the Ariel I will try those again.

This was a previously worn pair of shoes that even had someone orthotic left in the shoe. Didn't even look like new shoes. I paid full price for a used pair. They are returned

Great shoe. For someone with several foot issues, I like that this shoe has a wider toe box than other Brooks design. I generally order up a half size to accommodate my orthotic inserts. I wish they came in more color choices.
