I have discovered that shoes with guide rails are not for me. The arch hurts. The Glycerin GTS 22 that I previously purchased was especially painful for my feet after walking for a length of time. This Ariel GTS 24 doesn't seem as bad but I prefer not to take any chances. I was very happy with my Ariel 18. I recently purchased a Ghost 16 which has neutral support and I hope that works for me.

These fit great and are comfortable, but my only complaint is that they are NOT black per the description of ebony/black/white. I needed black shoes and these are a dark blue. Very disappointing.

I can't help but feel disappointed in this shoe, for my feet. I've loved the Ariel in the past, but this model just feels small, and it has taken a long time for the top edges in the front to soften up and stop hurting my foot. This recent model has never become comfortable for me, although I loved the previous model.

I have been wearing Brooks sneakers for years. For whatever reason, this one was much shorted and I had to stuff my feet into them. I like the neutral color but they’ll be going back.

The new design with the tongue of the shoe is awful. They put a piece of elastic on one side so the tongue always slides to that side making it uncomfortable.

I like the structure on my left foot but after wearing them for a total of 2 hours, the right foot front right corner started feeling off and both sneakers squeak so much. They fit great and I haven't gotten them wet. I'm not sure why that right shoe is already breaking down or why they are squeaking so much.

3.5 Not enough cushion in sole. Otherwise they are firm, good support and fit. I need more cushion though. The bottom of my feet hurt.

When I inserted my arch support orthotics the heel support was too low on my heel to feel comfortable and supportive.

These are ok. I have very wide feet and struggle with running shoes for that reason. The toe box on these is not as wide as the toe box on the Ariel GTS 23, so it is not quite as comfortable. They do feel a little lighter than the 23 version.

Very comfortable and supportive, but the shoes are not black. They are a dark grey/purplish/blue which I was honestly pretty bummed out about :/ They also don't have very good traction and if not careful you'll definitely slip and fall. I live in Oregon where it rains a ton and I've almost slipped on moss many times while out for walks.

Ordered these from store. I had tried a size 7 in store but when shoes came they were a size too small but they said they were a 7. I have to wonder if company labeled them wrong????

*shrug* I guess. I have them and I am wearing them. I have been wearing Brooks Ariels since ~2010 and muddled through multiple design changes. The demise of the Ariel and replacement with Ariel GTS is my least favorite. Ascetic is not-cute and somehow worse than prior Ariel, which was also not-cute but better than the GTS. I feel like the toe box is narrow and the rest of the shoe too wide/loose on my foot. What is nice is the cushion. It took me a bit to adjust to the feeling of bounce for support, but I think I like it. If they could give us a cute all-black or all-white this would be a happier review. As it stands now, I'm just being an adult wearing a "proper" shoe.

I have returned the Ariel Gts 24 two times because they squeak, and also my heel slips out.. I have been wearing Ariel's for at least 10 years which have been supportive and comfortable and non squeaky, accommodating my wide feet. But the 24s are terrible, and also do not have the cushioning and comfort the past version had. The Ariel 20 was super comfy. Bring it backand yes, the black is not black.

Shoe was much browner than expected. Was hoping for a white sneaker. Model itself is excellent, will reorder in another color.

Tried wearing them once, disappointed in the fit, I have the BROOKS Ghost shoes the same size (13 M) women's, and the ARIEL 13M is smaller, shorter on toe. I thought with the same brand the fit would be the same. Also the foot pad in the Ariel is bumpy which I find annoying since they hit under toes awkwardly, not comfortable. I'm returning them. I used your test size guide quiz and the BROOKS shoes recommended don't come in women's 13. I hope you can fix this issue.

These shoes have great cushion and support, but they slip on my heals. I wear a women's size 9 wide (D-width) in Ghosts and they fit great. I used the fit guide quiz to land on the Ariel GTS 24, and the heals slipped with every step. I returned them for a pair of the new Ghosts and they don't slip at all.

Ariel GTS 24 I hoped to love these. I have had Brooks Adrenalin and Brooks Ghost. I have plantar fasciitis and metatarsal pain. I need great arch support. Ariel GTS 24 have only mediocre arch support. Additionally, they have not helped with the metatarsal pain at all. I am very disappointed in them.

Length and width are just right. The problem is the feel, just too hard! I wanted a suuportive shoe, but this is too much.

These shoes are BLUE, not a shade of black as they are shown in the pictures. I'm incredibly disappointed. I needed these shoes for a trip that I'm leaving for tomorrow! I love my current Brooks but they are too big on me now. I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews about quality going down and I hope that it can be resolved. If there are any BLACK shoes that are good for stability, I'd consider trying them out.

Very different from the 23. These feel heavier and much stiffer (so much so that makes foot angry) and I am not liking these at all yet loved the 23s. Hope the 25s are better or I will have to find a different shoe.

Please bring back the old versions. I have worn the Ariel for over 20 years. The tongue and laces are too short. The colors are not exciting. The black is actually navy. The width has changed. Wide is very narrow. Again go back to the old versions .

I have purchased this same size and style for over a decade, but the current generation has major flaws: Pros: The lace loops are more durable, and the under-foot support is still good. Happy they have neutral colors and more minimalist design (such as black.. though this one is more of a blue black than the black from last generation). Cons: Durability has plummeted dramatically (they last only ~2 months), and the toe box has been narrowed significantly to the point of causing bruising on my toes. I usually buy in bulk, but due to these issues, I am donating my extras and switching brands until these fundamentals are corrected.

Poor quality upper for such an expensive shoe! They are very comfortable and I use them for everyday casual wear and walking. After five months, they've gotten an obvious hole in the top that gets larger by the second. So annoying and disappointing. I definitely wouldn't by this style again or any Brooks with a mesh top.
