I purchased these because my doctor advised running shoes. These are not as comfortable as I expected. I use them as part of a rotation of shoes but another pair that I own the ghost pair are far more comfortable.

The fit and feel of the Revel 7 shoes are exactly what I have been looking for in my running footwear. They are incredibly comfortable and have become my new go-to shoes. The breathable design allows me to run miles without hurting my feet. The subtle and nice color scheme is a bonus. Since I run outside, I appreciate the darker color, which doesnt show dirt or wear and tear as easily. I am training for a half marathon and these are what I have been wearing!

The Revel 7 is great neutral running shoe. I have a pretty neutral gait, but tend to supinate when Im going long distances/tired. This shoe fits comfortably and true to size, theres a wee bit of a spring-like feel to it, which is a bit of a morale booster when youre just DONE with the training. My feet dont feel as though theyve overheated whilst running on the pavement, and Im left with a rather comfy feel after a training session. I like to rotate my shoes during the week and this has definitely made its way into my rotation. Im not a huge fan of the colorway, its not bad, just not my preferred style. Its pretty on-brand with Brooks other styles, so it looks like any other running shoe on the market, nothing that makes it stand out against the slew of other running shoes. Its a great road-running shoe for short distances, not quite sure Id trust it for any training of great length though. Im a die-hard Brooks running shoe fan, they make great shoes for all pronation types and running styles. Will definitely be adding more Revels into my rotation.

When putting on these shoes (the Revel 7) for the first time, I was surprised by how comfortably roomy they felt! I have a wide-ish foot, so a lot of the time, running shoes start extremely tight on the sides for me. Not so with these! They only got more comfortable on the sides as time went on and I ran in them more. The color combo that I got-- purple, gray, and gold-- is really nice and matches most of my sportswear. I have an eleven-year-old stepdaughter who is training for Cross Country, and she keeps stealing them, so that MUST mean they are cool. They are lightweight yet supportive in the right places. The fabric is breathable but doesn't feel cheap. Also, these go on really easily, which is an especially big deal for my impatient stepdaughter who doesn't like to take the time to tie things. The biggest wish my stepdaughter had regarding these shoes is that the gold in the pattern was placed on the outside rather than the inside. I have no complaints either way--like I said above, they match well with most of my activewear! All in all, I would say this is a Goldilocks shoe--just right! If an eleven-year-old and a 32-year-old can wear the same thing without either of us feeling embarrassed, then I'd say that thing has a pretty classic design. We both love the Revel 7 and have found these shoes to be useful, comfortable, and stylish!

I am thoroughly impressed by these shoes. They are intended to be running shoes; however, they are so comfortable that I find myself wearing them all day sometimes. While I believe the material will hold up, I try not to do that too often in the hope that I can keep them in good shape for running. I love the design, and purple is my favorite color, so that makes them even better! If you are looking for a new pair of shoes that should last a long time, I think you can stop your search. Here they are!

I am so excited to be writing a a review of the new Revel 7 shoes by Brooks. These look great coming out of the box and have shown little wear in the few weeks I've been using them. There are a few scuffs on the soles but nothing unusual. My feet feel very supported and snug without the shoe being too tight. I normally wear a size 9, have a 9 in these and they fit true to size. When running or walking I tend to supinate (put more pressure on the lateral side of my foot), especially on my right side. This causes me to sometimes fall and twist my ankle, but not very often. I noticed these shoes do not correct that issue which would be nice buy not unexpected. The color on these shoes is very nice and go well with a lot of my clothes. They have purple soles with grey on the top. Overall, I really enjoy these shoes but am still careful about how much I used them as I want them to stay looking nice for a while longer and last.

I am a repeat Brooks customer, I have only owned Ghost 14s and Ghost 15, so these were a new style for me. Overall the fit and feel was great. They are lightweight but supportive and feel really good on my feet. I chose the same size as my ghost 15s and they fit perfectly. This color scheme isnt what I would typically choose for myself but I love them! Its nice that theyre dark so they dont look dirty even after running outside. The fabric is breathable and feels good even after a sweaty cardio workout or a longer run in the heat! The design and color scheme is what I liked most about the shoes. I used these for both trail and treadmill running as well as indoor HIIT workouts. The only thing negative I have is for HIIT workouts, they seemed to slide around at times, especially when doing side-to-side motions. Overall, a great running shoe that I would love to have in more colors!

For a casual runner (2-4 miles, 2-3x/week), these Brooks Revel 7 running shoes were fairly comfortable right from the start, without any need to break them in. The gray and purple fabric is stylish and form-fitting. While I tend to wear brands that accommodate for my wider feet and have never worn Brooks before, the toebox area of the shoes were surprisingly wide enough to accommodate for wider feet. The soles of the shoes have decent cushioning for support but are also light and not too bouncy. Because I do have wider feet, I did have to really loosen up the shoelaces, which made them a little short. A nice side benefit to loosening up the laces is that I am also able to slip my feet into and out of the shoes hands-free. However, there was a limit to how wide it could go at the start of the laces as the fabric could not stretch any further. If I could change one thing, it would probably be to make the fabric at the start of the laces more flexible because that was the tightest part of the shoe. Other than that, these are very comfortable and stylish running shoes that I would recommend to other runners.

I have never had Brooks shoes before. Not entirely sure whyjust happy with my usual go-to brands, but I love these so much, I have already bought two more pairs. I am currently wearing them at work. RN hours are 10-12 hours on my feet most of the time, shuffling around and they are incredibly comfortable. My feets arent aching after a long shift, which is saying a lot. I dont have any special arches or anything, and they work well for me. I got a flattering lavender color and I love them. Get compliments all the time! They look like every sneaker, but they definitely feel different after a long shift. I followed the sizing recommendations and they fit perfectly! Very happy with them and I happily recommend them to anyone that asks.

I loved the design and color combo of the Revel 7 (gray & purple). The top of the shoe was comfortable and stretchy while still being supportive. I normally wear a 6.5 and these were a bit small for me. I would size a half size up when purchasing again. They will be perfect for running or just as an every day walking shoe.

These Brooks are my new favorite running shoe! I actually havent reached for my former favorites since I started running in these Revel 7s. The fit and feel is spot on. Ive been running marathons for six years and pack a lot of miles on my shoes depending on where I'm at in my training. I also struggle with chronic knee pain, so having adequate support is crucial. These Brooks feel perfectly natural while running. They offer the support needed in my arch and heel without feeling like Im running on a thick platform that absorbs my momentum. The mesh material on top is light and breathable, and the toe box is wide enough to accommodate my feet. (While my feet arent particularly wide, previous brands Ive tried post-pregnancy have been too narrow in the toe box.) I also love how the tongue of the shoe isnt simply an afterthought, but rather a legitimate addition to the shoe! Its well cushioned, allowing you to tie your laces snug without having them pinch the tops of your feet. While I dont prioritize the look of a running shoe, I do happen to like this design. The grey is sharp and not overly distracting. They perform great on road and gravel path, which is where I spend most of my miles. In addition to running, Ive been grabbing them for biking and walking simply because I find them so comfortable. Ill probably pull back on that to increase their running life, but its nice to have a shoe that works for multiple fitness activities. Perhaps to sum it up, when I run in these - Im simply not aware of them. Theyre doing their job, and Im enjoying the run!

I was a runner before getting pregnant but after I had my baby, my knees and feet have been hurting if I tried to run. I read the reviews and it mentioned how these sneakers helped with that. I didn't think it would help since nothing seemed to work but "wow"! The minute I put them on, I could feel the support on my feet. Although they are slightly snug and seems like I could of went up a 1/2 size, these still made running back painless. I do wish that they were a little less snug but i still loved them. I almost started crying since it has been 10 months of me finally being able to run without my knees hurting. I was impressed also with the breathable fabric. I debated between these shoes and another but I just loved how cute these are with a color that matched my outfit My mom complimented on how cute they were and how she wouldn't mind a pair. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone trying to get back into walking and running who suffer from knee pain.

I'm a casual runner and get out a few times a week. I loved the look of this shoe and gave always been a Brooks fan. This shoe has the same great quality they've always given. My feet are slightly wide and I sized up a half size and it's a great fit for me. I also wore for a day at an amusement park and my feet felt great all day! Highly recommend!

The new Revel 7 sneakers are comfortable, good-looking, and ready to run! I can wear them working out inside the gym, around the outdoor track, or just for a walk on a trail. The fabric inside feels luxurious and the outer fabric is breathable yet sturdy. I am loving this purple and dark gray color scheme, which gives a little fashionable look to the sneakers. They feel lightweight with needed support for running. Did I mention how comfortable they are?! That's a key component for me, and these fit the bill. The only criticism that I have is that they are slightly large compared to my other running shoes of the same size, when comparing where my toes land inside in the shoe. However, while the sneaker is on, I cannot tell much of a difference and it feels like a good fit. Overall, I intend to keep wearing these several days per week and look forward to seeing how they hold up over time.

Not as bouncy and comfortable as Revel 5. Soles feel hard, causes heel pain. They were also really slippery on a bathroom floor. I will stick to Launchs and Hyperions

I buy a new pair of Revel 7's for my wife every 6 months. She loves the shoes, but this new lace design with the little loops instead of holes is a huge flaw. She put her new ones on for the first time today and one of those loops snapped. Like, really? Why would you design them like that. I'd like to talk to a customer service representative.

The shoes are pretty, comfy, and overall great, but they run smaller than any others I tried. I typically wear 9.5 in all women's shoes, I ordered a 10 based on a pair I picked up at Academy that fit great. They are just too small/narrow at the toe, I even tried them on after a couple days to see if I was just being too quick to judge, but, still too small :( Was really hoping I could make them work.

I wanted to love these shoes. I desperately need new running shoes and it has been a struggle to find a happy medium between too much cushion/stack height and not enough. The Revel 7 is perfect in this regard. They provide support and comfort cushioning, but don't look like clown shoes or feel like marshmallows. They are attractive, fit well, are true to size for me, and have good overall support. That's the good stuff. I returned these shoes due to what were (for me) fatal flaws: 1) The lacing system. Rather than going through eyelets like normal shoes, the Revel 7 laces go through looped cords that lay on the top of the shoe over the tongue. There are three problems with this design: a) It's very difficult to get the shoe comfortably tightened. b) When the laces are tightened for a good lockdown, the cord loops press down on tongue and put uncomfortable pressure on the top of my foot and tendons, and c) based on reviews by others, I'm concerned about how the loops will (or won't) hold up over time. 2) The tongue is too long and too thin. The tongue came up too high and dug into the front of my ankle with every step. It would eventual shift to the side, even with the gusset, but that was neither comfortable or attractive. The thinness of the tongue allowed the lacing loops to dig in to the top of my foot. 3) While I did not test these shoes outdoors due to the above issues, the sole did not feel as though it would have good traction on a wet surface. The rubber felt more slippery than I would have expected. I liked the Revel 7 enough to try the Revel 8. There aren't as many cords, and the tongue appears to be shorter judging by the photos. (fingers crossed) If you're on the fence, you should try the Revel 7. I have a very low volume foot that is on the bony side. If your foot is bit "meatier" you may not have the same issues.
