I felt off balance with the various supports on the bottom of the shoe. Did not feel safe.

Been wearing nb 1080 v12 for quite some time. These v14 very comfortable except for the top of my foot where it was too tight.

Shoe fit well but, sole felt to squishy and unstable and could lead to an ankle roll.

Too narrow

I have been wearing New Balance 1080’s for many years with a great deal of satisfaction. I am disappointed in 1080v14. The first thing I noticed was the bulk where the tongue is sewn to the upper part of the shoe close to the toe. It irritated the top of my foot. There was no way to adjust the laces to reduce the irritation. The second item of note is the toe box seems narrower and less rounded than previous fresh foam models. I am truly disappointed and now need to search for a new brand.

Too Narrow & Too Short: For many years New Balance shoes in 9-4E have fit well. Not so with the 1080s. The shoes were both much too short and much too narrow. I doubt my foot has changed since my New Balance 877s in 9-4E continue to fit well. The increased foam in the 1080s felt nice, but they were so narrow I felt there was no reason to try a different size.

Lack of side support - like walking on platform shoes. Really light and comfy BUT not enough side support so I "fell off" the insoles immediately the second I got on any uneven surface. Had to return.

Specifically the right shoe has a squeaking sound that's constant. It's the squishing sound you hear when walking with wet shoes on a polished floor, but you don't need wet shoes with these and that sound follows you everywhere. Been happening for weeks and it got worse at some point. I'd throw them away if they hadn't cost $100+.

the shoe seemed too small for my feetr. I dont wear wide shoes from other brands and purchased a size 11 as I always do. but this show size 11 was smaller and hard to get on my feet. the top cushion under the shoe lace was always being stuck which happens when the shoe is smaller. hope I can try another shoe with a wide sole or a 1/2" size larger but not gonna buy it online.

The 4E wide does not seem as wide as should be,.

The New balance foam is an incredibly bad idea. The company is going down hill in design and durability. I changed to Brooks for my size 12 Narrow foot. They seem to accommodate it much better. This foam idea is truly a bad idea. I was unbalanced and it was far too spongy. Ridiculous thick bottom of foam.

New Balance has a big problem with their men's sneaker! Every men's sneaker has a pinch point on the right side of the right sneaker right below the pinky toe! New Balance should bring back the mid hiking shoe. 481 V3 and put the fresh foam sold on that sneaker. It was the best!

To narrow. Material felt cheap and unsupportive.

My husband did not try to wear these shoes until we left for a trip. It turns out that the inside of the shoes are defective or poorly finished off. He had difficulty walking due to the roughness of the seams (He did have socks on). It is now too late to return for a refund. But after purchasing New Balance for 30 years, we seem to have purchased a lemon.
