What did new balance do to this shoe!!!!! I’ve been wearing these for years. Ordered my new yearly pair and the exact same size 8.5 4E isn’t as wide or as long?!? WHY

I have wide feet and the 1080 4E has been my go to running show for several years. The extra wide fit my feet perfectly and were so comfortable. So I brought this latest version expecting the same. I was so disappointed. They are so narrow compared to my previous ones. They were very tight (width wise) but I still tried them out. My feet hurt so bad that I had to stop running. I could order a larger size but then they would be too long. Very disappointed since I used to love these shoes. Will need to find a different running shoe.

These shoes are much more comfortable than Hokas in my opinion and are good for slower runs, I've only put 15 miles on them but they're comfortable for longer slower runs.

a great shoe for walking if you have wider than normal feet

I thought they were awesome shoes. Excellent cushioning and stylish. My problem is I wear orthotics. Every time I put on the shoes the tongue would disappear under the lacing. I am disabled. I put my shoes on with a 32" shoehorn. I am unable to reach down and pull the tongue out once it goes under the lacing. I am extremely disappointed that I need to return such a comfortable, good looking pair of shoes!

The best running shoes for 2024

Shoes fit well, great cushioning. Stayed with these after trying Brooks Beast that were WAY too narrow even I. The wide width.

I bought these for heel cushioning -- and they provide that in spades. The design causes wet toes easily (only fabric), but is otherwise fine.

I wear one pair for running approximately 20 miles/week. Instead of saving some money and ordering another pair of Fresh Foam X 1080v13s from Amazon, I pulled the trigger on the 1080v14s. I really enjoyed the super-cushioned, very comfortable ride of the v13s. Various reviews stated that the v14 was stiffer than the v13s. I'm about 50 miles into the v14s, and can confirm that they are indeed firmer than the previous iteration. The v14s, while still very comfortable and well-cushioned, are not as plush and pillowy underfoot as the v13s. I found sizing to be about the same as v13s, maybe a little tighter in the toe box, but not enough to exchange for the next width.

I loved the cushioning for my prominent metatarsal bones that often result in calluses in hard bottom shoes. However, due to the severe slant on the outside of the toe box, my middle toes were scrunched and became painful even though I went with a longer shoe. I need a rounded toe on shoes due to my short toes and wide feet. These shoes were wide enough for my bunions due to going 1 full size larger than my preferred shoe length. My feet also looked wider than they are due to the large white sole extending beyond the shoe uppers. My orthotics for very high arches were supported by the shaped inside side of the shoes. By using all the provided lacing holes, I could keep the heels from being too loose.

I got these because I have plantar fasciitis. They are very comfortable and well cushioned. I ordered size 11 wide even though I usually wear 11 medium because of the reviews I read. They fit well and I can walk again. Very happy!

Got these to start running and they meet all my needs

I bought these for my son. He has a lot of trouble with back pain, but when wearing these shoes it relieves the pain!
