Cold weather

Jacket is extremely warm and keeps the wind off you. I have 46 chest and XL fits perfect. Also, its super light and rolls up into your luggage.

Great jacket. It worked perfectly.

Love the lightness of the jacket. But didn't love the logo is not stitched on, now I'm afraid it fall.

The jacket ripped on the stitching around the shoulder within a week of purchase... the emblem is not stitched on either and seems like it will come off in time. My previous Thermoball was made much better and fit better as well. This is still a very warm jacket.

Hubby is always size medium but with this he had to size up to Large. He said it is warm and comfortable. He wears this almost every single day.

Very nice and slick

This was my very first North Face purchase and it's worth every penny! I'm used to the concept of big bulky coats are the warmest and was I wrong. This coat is light weight and provides superior coverage and warmth. I'd recommend this coat to anyone that enjoys being active in the colder months and is not a fan of the traditional bulky winter coats.

it's a great fit I'm a medium sized but on this I ordered large.. so my advice to anybody buying this jacket size up .. if you don't you'll see what I'm talking about. other than that love how it looks and feels.

I returned the first due to a fabric issue, was pulling inside the collar. I wear it mostly casually, but fit's great. XL is perfect for 5'-11" 220lb. Only knock would be the zipper feels delicate, hasn't caused a problem yet. TNF gets 5 stars for warrantying without question.

As a midweight Jacket it is perfect for our weather here in Northern California, and the slim fit enhances the appearance.

Too start, I'm 5'10" and 205lbs. 60% athlete, 40% dad bod. I ordered the large, and its like spandex. It was like doing thai-chi just getting it on. Then it fit fine if I only plan on wearing a thin t-shirt and never moving my arms.. If I raised my arms, the jacket was up at my sternum. I have jackets from Columbia and LL Bean in large, and they fit my frame fine. It will be returned, and as luck would have it, the color I like is out of stock in XL. Easy come, easy go, I guess. It is a nice jacket, though I did find the zipper a little flimsy.

Husband loves his Thermoball, it is slim fitting but a true Men's medium. Keeps him warm and is wind proof.

Mid layer under a goretex shell for skiing. I'm a ski instructor so I spend quite a bit of time most days not skiing but teaching new skiers on the flats where I'm not really expending much energy. This mid layer really helps manage my body warmth whether active or more stationary. I really like how the sleeves are close to the arms so as not to add a lot of bulk below the elbows under the shell.
