Fit is good but material is like sandpaper..

When I put these in the shopping bag, I had zero doubt. I knew I'd love this shirt. Then I got it and tried it on. Major frump factor. I got the petite small, and it was like a beautiful blue ... box. This has so much potential, and maybe if you're tall and willowy it could work, but still, it seems like it's a bit shapeless. Even an asymmetrical hem could have helped. Something. I hope this gets a revamp for next year.

The fabric is good quality, but the overall fit was too large; I found the stripes unappealing.

Historically, linen wrinkles. The more you wash it, the softer it will get and the less it will wrinkle, but still will need to be ironed..

The worst. Itchy. So I machine washed and dried it. Wrinkled and shrunk like a raisin.

High LLBean quality shirt. And a great fit for me as always.

Had to return. Bust was too small. Otherwise, I really liked it.

I ordered two of these from this year and two, on sale, in another color/pattern from a previous year. The fit is such a contrast from one year to the next! Previous year shirts fit comfortably. I'd give them 5 stars. Arms are long enough. Shoulders fit comfortably. Fabric seems a bit stronger/heavier. This year? Arms are a bit short for me. Shoulders too tight. Body is ok. I doubt the problem would be solved with a larger size, though I may try that. Since larger size might be too roomy in the body, even if ok with arm length and shoulder fit. (With a jacket or sweater that's no problem, but a shirt?) At least it's no trouble to return things. But I have to say that over and over in the last 5-10 years it's been annoying that Bean clothing, which used to be reliable in sizes is now hit and miss. I've been a customer for 4+ Decades. So I know what I'm talking about. If you don't have long arms and broad shoulders, these might work for you.

Too short and wide for a tunic. The fabric is also stiff, so it hangs like a tent. Returned. I had to answer the fit question, and said it was too big, but it is also too small.

The material is very stiff. I'll wear with a tshirt but NOT in heat of summer.

Very disappointed. Expected better quality from LL.Bean. Washed once, came out a wrinkled mess.

This is a beautiful shirt as long as you do not follow the washing instructions on the label. I washed the shirt in cold water, delicate cycle and tumble dried on low, exactly as the instructions advise. Of course it shrank. I love this shirt enough to purchase another one right away and will return the one that has shrunk. I will not put the next shirt in the drier. Why is it always such a challenge to purchase a linen product that will launder reliably and still be exactly the same as it was before you washed it? Very frustrating. LL Bean, do you not test these products thoroughly before bringing them to market?

Purchased this in 2022 and probably wore it 15 times total; the sleeve area has disintegrated, literally. I thought I might have torn the seam when putting it on, noticed it has numerous holes on both sides of the arms and underam. NOT the LL Bean of my past (been a customer since HS days in 1984-85). Very disappointed in quality in recent years, this might be the one that makes me a former LL Beaner.

Rough linen and worst of all cut for a man. Colors were beautiful (I ordered two) kicked around keeping and wearing open with a tank but not worth it. For reference I am a solid size 10 (5'7 150lbs) so the medium should have me fine. Poor quality overall

Crazy wrinkly - not like my other linen clothes. I have lots of linen which I wash and wear without ironing. They are slightly rumpled but hang nicely and soften into a good shape with wearing. On this shirt, the sleeves twisted to ropes and the collar curled so much as to be nearly unrecognizable. Bean quality is usually very good, so I gave this 3 tries washing, and it just won't uncurl and become wearable without ironing. Sadly had to return it.

First item of clothing I was very disappointed with in thirty years from LLBean

The fabric is rough and scratchy even with 2 washings. Also it looks like it needs ironing to get substantial wrinkles out.

Disappointed in quality of material. Sleeves are tight and overall fit seems off. Not what I expect from LL Bean. Certainly not worth the price.

It was beautiful in the package, but once I washed it, it was all wrinkled. I don't spend that much money to have to iron a shirt.

First off, as another reviewer mentioned, I was shocked at the color -- the so-called "peach sherbet" was actually "raspberry sherbet" ... or "bubble-gum pink" (as the other person put it) -- Secondly, I can't believe how poorly this shirt fits. I have many many similar LL Bean shirts and ordered the same size I always do, but this is too tight across the back/shoulder blades and consequently too tight in the upper arms to move around in at all. This shirt also was priced higher than I usually spend for a shirt that I would wear to work (mine was the sale color at $55 compared to around $25-35 that I usually spend), but I was willing to "splurge" because I thought it would be really comfortable and special. Disappointed to have to send it back, and I really appreciate the Return Policy! I considered getting a larger size, but since others have said that it shrinks, I will pass on this one. Note: I tried to post this with Zero stars, but it wouldn't let me.

Shirt shrank beyond original size after first washing...useless, and a total waste of money. This is my final purchase from LLBean after many years. When/if you ever decide to return to your "Made in America" policy instead of various foreign, cheap labor countries, only then will I reconsider. Totally disappointed, and I think the original L. L. Bean would be also...his philosophy has long been missing.
