I've seen a lot of comments about how wrinkled these linen shirts are after washing and I can understand why people would say that because linen is a durable fabric that wears beautifully. What I have discovered that seems to minimize the wrinkling is to add fabric softener during the rinse cycle, place in the dryer on low heat for about about 8 - 10 minutes and hang to dry. When i do this, my linen shirts are noticeably softer and less wrinkled.

I usually wear a small but had to return for a medium, which fits great. Very nice shirt.

I really like the feel. Lightweight. Gave it a 4 star because haven't washed it yet or worn as weather turned cooler. The fit is great. Ordered the Petite Med. I am only 4'9". Chest 35.7, Waist 35, & Hips 40. Wgt 117. Pretty striped lilac & gold color on white.

I avoid linen because of the ironing required. This was my first in years. Yup, have to iron but love the shirt.

I have purchased four of these tops and keep coming back for more. They are excellent! However, I would love to see a solid green, a moss green, perhaps.

Really nice shirt. Fits true to size and looks sharp. The material is not quite as soft as I've had in linen shirts before but it's still acceptable. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

The quality of this shirt was very nice. The stripe was more pronounced than I anticipated. Also the fit was closer & longer--I prefer the fit & length of the seersucker shirt. So I reluctantly returned it because I'd wished to have a linen shirt..

Great shirt, really nice fit, well made. Linen is ok - I wear a lot of linen and this is not the best quality, a bit stiff and not very soft but I would say the cost is appropriate. It will soften up over time so I know I'll love it after a few washes, but anyone expecting it to feel great the first day should be prepared.

Nice fitting,but a bit long for me so I shortened it. Washes well. Did use iron to touch it up

I bought this linen shirt in an indigo and white stripe which I love. I wore shirts like this in the 70's loved it then, love it now! The fabric before washing was a little scratchy but fine after wash.

Very pretty color and good fit (size Medium) although I would have liked it to be slightly shorter. Haven't washed yet but expect it will be OK based on previous experience w/ Bean linen. It's a good wardrobe addition to have handy for overly-cool air conditioning in summer or for a cooler day. Would recommend this.

Pretty blue and white striped linen shirt, but I decided to return it. The back tail seemed just a bit disproportionately long and the side vents were open too high, so that skin showed around the waist when I raised my arm. But over all a cute shirt.

i might keep this blouse, though i must say once again i am disappointed in the color it is not persimmon and i am glad persimmon because is a deep vivid orange but nor is it the soft pink described by your representative. i asked every possible question i could think of for clarification of color " pink "she said over and over again. i enjoyed her she was lovely i dont know though what she was looking at but if this shirt is pink im tall blonde sexy and , 31. i spoke to another rep just now..he cant tell what the color is but i think it is red with an orange cast the white stripe does subdue it but it doesnt make it pink. i might keep this but i have an astute friend who might tell me i look like a candy striper , a hospital volunteer, if she does, its coming back. maybe it will, anyway. earlier this year i bought the aqua which is mint green. i was so annoyed aqua is my favorite color it was for my birthday. it did appear mint green on camera but i am a literate person, and i go by what i read. makes sense to me. then, i bought the similar shirt in what was described as navy i believe, perhaps cobalt, to wear with navy and red. again, i asked many questions the shirt is here, i wore it i will again, but it is a very soft dark chambray blue. not navy, it does not look good with navy and it is not cobalt which is a very intense color. a soft pink gingham i bought last year is the same color as that laxative or rather bubblegum pink. my astute friend chortled. now it is true i could lose my friend but she has other extremely good attributes.. so beaners i say to you.. so do you. but you are bad at color naming and i think you should do better . i will speak to my friend about making fun of my clothes, but i hope you get yourselves a box of those, crayons..thank you...

I have washed it three times now and find that it is still rather stiff. Hoping it will become as soft as my former LLBEAN linen shirts.

Ordered the Arctic Violet and was disappointed. Is not the subdued rich colors as in the website photo, but bright violet stripes..just not to my taste. The fabric is very stiff, not the linen I was expecting. I returned it. Fit was to size.

This fabric is a nice lightweight linen, the design is classic and the color is great. The care instructions say to iron if needed, but after washing in the delicate and hand-wash cycles of our LG frontloading washer, there is no way this blouse will never need ironing. There were way too many wrinkles so I'm returning it since I don't have time for ironing the entire blouse.

I like the idea of this shirt more than the item itself. About 10 years ago I purchased a linen shirt from Bean that was so soft it was a delight to wear. In addition, the sleeve width was nice and wide so it was very comfortable to roll them up when the weather was hot. Every linen shirt you have offered since has been either scratchier and/or narrower in the sleeves. I had stopped buying your linen shirts, but thought I would give this one a try since I really need one. I love the blue stripe. The workmanship is good. But the material is not that soft, and the arms are too narrow. I can wear it, but it lacks the ease and flowiness of a really high quality linen.

I have the dark blue striped tunic. It looked and felt great (I'm a 2X). I love the length. Then I washed and dried it per the care instructions. The once smooth fabric is a tight wrinkled mess. I'll have to do serious ironing to be able to wear it in public. I am disappointed.

This otherwise beautiful shirt is too short in the length and arms. Please make this design in tall sizes!

I returned it. The wide blue and white stripes combined with the loose fitting almost tunic length looked too much like I was wearing a men's pajama top. Not flattering at all. I love linen and don't mind the wrinkles. Many people give poor reviews because the fabric needs to be ironed to look smooth. That's the nature of linen. Also I've seen reviews that say it's stiff and scratchy. Again, that's how linen is at first but it softens up with each wash and becomes the nicest thing you will ever want to wear on a hot day. Linen pulls heat away from the skin and cools you off. Give it a chance. Maybe not this particular shirt and print but there's lots of other choices. It's more environmentally sound to raise linen vs cotton and will decompose when disposed of which we can't really say about synthetics.

I love the shirt but it shrunk after the first wash. I didn't put it in the dryer because I was worried that it would shrink, and then it did anyway!

I tried two sizes in this shirt and no luck. Too tight in the body. Beautiful fabric but 'slightly fitted to the body' does not work for me. And I'm not heavy.

Did not realize it would be extremely wrinkled after washing. Hard to iron...still quite wrinkled after ironing.

The entire garment was cut slightly smaller than other LLB shirts that I have and I felt that any shrinkage would make it unwearable.

Buy one size larger than you actually are because it will shrink.
