This incredibly soft shirt is the perfect weight. It protects agains the sun perfectly. Quickly dries sweat and feels great on skin. Hood is effective for protecting neck and head. Colors are also unique and rich. LLBean quality will last years and years to come. I still have an older version from 10 years ago.

I have several of these hoodies. They are very comfortable and durable

5 stars all the way! Use to have more colors selection. Looks to me like this item may be discontinued. Also , I bought a similar type of UV hoodie with a ZIPPERED Pouch on the front. No longer available?

Great little lightweight sun fighter hoodie that washes well & looks good

Great for early morning and late evening dog walks. Just enough warmth and bug protection.

It's the perfect comfort layer, builds with other items depending on the conditions, and still looks sharp.

I purchased this shirt for my husband. He loved it so much I purchased more. Great shirt. The fabric is soft and durable. The colors are great. Washes well. Great style. Just bought one for our cousin for his birthday. Would highly recommend.

Th hoodie is just great. Fits well and love the color. I've worn it over a T-shirt on chilly days as well as for sun protection.

Use a lot to hike trails in the evening. Like having kangaroo pocket on a lightweight hoodie.

Very comfortable! Just ordered another one. I am female, 5'3", 110 pounds and the small fits well. I have very fair skin and need the longer sleeves to cover my hands. The hood is not bulky and gives good coverage. I wish I had more of them.

Bought this at the Freeport, ME flagship store during a vacation to Maine, specifically for the UPF, as I've been looking for a lightweight, long sleeve, hooded shirt to protect from the sun while outdoors. Have had it for a little over 3 weeks now and used it heavily in Acadia National Park, at our lake house, and out in Jackson Hole, WY for numerous hikes in the Tetons at higher elevation where the UV rays are more intense than the Midwest where I live. This shirt has been great, and has provided excellent protection from the sun while still being pretty comfortable even in sunny, warm/hot conditions. It is not the most lightweight UPF shirt out there, but it's study, soft, and very comfortable, and unless you're doing vigorous activity in 75-80+ degree weather, it should be fairly comfortable. I wore it on the boat on the lake in 90 degree and humid temperatures and it was hot, but not unbearable. Similarly, I wore it on several hikes in Jackson Hole that covered several thousand feet of elevation in 5-8 miles, with dry, sunny temps in the 60s-70s, and it was very comfortable, even while wearing a daypack loaded with 2-3L of water. Pros: Soft, not too tight, very comfortable, dries quickly, great sun protection, hood makes it more versatile Cons: Not the most lightweight, still gets very hot in extreme conditions (temps above 80 degrees and/or dew point above 70 degrees with high humidity) Overall: Excellent shirt, would highly recommend, very versatile.

I purchased this hoodie for my husband who is on meds for an autoimmune disease; he must stay out of the sun. He really likes the hoodie because it protects him but is very light and not cumbersome.

It was a gift for my brother-in-law and he wears it everyday.

Excellent shirt for sun and bug protection. I wear the shirt fishing and kayaking for sun protection and the added bonus as protection from black flies and mosquitos.

This is my favorite for a nice stroll in the afternoon. The material is very line and breathable. Had to buy a second one in a different color because I like it so much.

Wore this hoodie on a day trip to Mystic, CT where it was 100F with full humidity, and I was seriously impressed. The fit is true to size a bit on the roomy side, and the fabric feels way more like high-quality cotton than that shiny spandex feel you sometimes get with performance gear. It kept me comfortable in brutal heat and light sun without feeling sticky or weighed down. Super lightweight, which is great, but just a heads up: the front pocket does sag a bit because of that. Still, covers neck face and body really well .

Amazing great for infusions easy to take on and off

I have taken to wearing sun protection when I'm fishing or working in the garden. But really love the fit and comfort of this hoodie! Many of the others have no pocket or a small pocket - but this full hoodie pocket is awesome! And kudos to LL Bean for supporting us tall folks!

I gave this as a gift to my husband to keep the sun off his arms, neck, and ears while he's at our son's baseball games. He loves it! He's over 6 ft tall and he typically wears a Large in LL Bean shirts, but I got him Size Tall XL so he can wear it over other shirts. The Tall XL works perfectly.
