I bought this for its UPF + 50 rating and it's its high % of Tencil instead of polyester (which makes me stink). I wore it on the plane to CA, everyday on my 8 day backpacking trip across Sequoia NP on the High Sierra Tr., sumitting Whitney @ 14,505'. No sunburn, no stink! I washed it in the shower at a motel then wore it on the flight home the next day. It was very comfortable, looked good and I loved it.

I wore this for a Paddleboarding class, mostly for sun protection (UPF 50 ). It was very light and comfortable and dried quickly. This is a great purchase for watersports and / or to protect you from the sun with other outdoor activities.

My fair-skinned 23 year-old son wanted a light sweatshirt with sun protection. This was perfect! Material is light and soft, not heavy and hot. Very comfortable.

Super comfortable! The fabric is nice and stretchy, not too loose and not too tight. The hood is great for when it's super sunny or buggy. When I wear it, I don't need to wear a shirt underneath it since the fabric is buttery soft. It's quite breathable and can be worn during intense activities like hiking or paddling. I'm 5'9" and an athletic build and the Medium fits well.

I was looking for something that was really like that when I travel I could also sleep, but this is perfect

Wore this for a trip around Lake Michigan in July that included hiking and camping. Was relatively cool even when it was hot and humid outside.

I"ve had this about a month and cannot stop wearing it. The tropicweight is just warm enough without overheating. The material is durable and soft and the length is just right. 12/10 would buy again....if fact, I think I'll order it now.

So far this has worked out quite well. The fit is looser than a major competitor's version, around the body and sleeves as well as the hood, which covers a little more of the face. Material is very light and stretchy and I don't believe it makes me feel hotter (wearing long sleeves in heat & humidity). I agree with what another reviewer said, the pocket has very limited use, but I think a breast pocket would be very useful. I have washed it in warm-ish water without issue (cold water wash is called for in washing instructions). Would buy it again. I wish it were a bit less expensive, then again wearing it just a few times pays for itself by saving having to pay for overpriced lotions & sprays which have to be reapplied often.

Great shirt, good sun protection, well made. Comfortable but I like your other shirts I have purchased that have the vents. Much cooler.

This is a great summertime cool morning alternative to a cotton sweater. It is lighter, less bulky and rolls up into a small space. It has low maintenance care requirements and drys quickly. The UPF 50+ means you don't have to slather on chemicals to stay safe in the sun. Color choice is a bit limited. Sizing is generous. The chart indicates I should wear a medium, but a small was the better fit. I'm 5'6" normal BMI. The kangaroo pocket(a misnomer) is only useful as a hand-warmer pocket or for very lightweight items, e.g. a ballpoint pen, a pack of chewing gum, your hopes and dreams. Even a very small smartphone will stretch the pocket below your waist. Not a good look nor is it comfortable. Still, I highly recommend this item. I see no reason not to wear it all year.

I am a female but I bought this shirt because I loved the style and couldn't find one in women's. It is the softest, most comfortable shirt! I love it! I am heading to Yellowstone next week and it is the first thing I am packing!

I wear these specifically for the sun protection I need for medical reasons. There are cheaper hoodies elsewhere on the interwebs but these shirts beat them hands down for quality and durability. Fit is very good. The material is much less prone to "pulls" than other brands. I bought one last year and other this year so recommend them to others.

I dont normally leave reviews. This is the super comfy shirt you want for the beach and the boat. Why dont't they make it in white?!

I purchased three items and all of them returned for smaller sizes.
