Very comfortable and I like the style. True to size. When walking in the terrazzo halls in a professional environment it's clownish how much the shoes squeak.

Get dirty quickly Super comfortable

Overall I like the shoe, but the shape of the bottom creates a suction noise when on flat surfaces (especially when wet). I've very annoying and I don't plan on wearing the shoes anymore.

Three month update. Still a great looking pair of shoes but they have there issues.As I said before they make a snapping sound when walking on hard surfaces. And found out they don't provide much traction on wet hard surfaces. I slipped with them on a few times. So overall this will likely be my last purchase from J&M.

This shoe runs large and the fit is aweful . Not worth the price , no foot support ,very wide and loose.

I was very excited when I received my new pair of Amherst 2.0 knit plain shoes. They looked as good in person as they were online. I tried them on and found them feeling comfortable so I wore them to work the next day. To my surprise and embarrassment, these shoes made an awful suction cup noise when I walked. After examining the soles I determined it had to be the way they were sculpted. Certain flooring either helped or made worse but long story short I can't continue to wear them again. Certainly unfortunate as they look great and felt comfortable.

I have the regular Amhersts and love them so was excited to try the 2.0s. Was kind of let down with this weird crease on my inside foot when walking when the shoe flexes. I think I will have to return and get a different color of the regular ones.

One of the best designed and most comfortable casual sneakers on the market. Not a slip on, which is a plus. I'm 20 yr Johnston & Murphy customer. And I hate to say it but these are horrendous in application. Ie walking. Anytime I'm walking on a smooth surface such as tile, smooth concrete these suction cup to the floor and pop with each step. What a poor sole design. All other J & M casual sneakers don't compare in comfort. IMO. Thank goodness for the 60 day return policy.

These shoes are no good, when you walk something on the sole makes a suction and it's both shoe. It's so bizarre and annoying. Can't wear them

The shoes fit perfectly!! Had to return them though because of the horrible suction cup noise. Someone really messed up the design. Too bad , because it's a good looking shoe. But that sound is annoying!!

These were so nice out of the gate. J&M is my go to brand for sure. While it stinks a lot of their great shoes do not have a M/W option, when I do find the wider option shoes they normally are fantastic. I bought these shoes and thought it would be awesome! Then I realized everywhere I walked the shoes would suction cup on smooth surfaces and make a loud suction cup noise. I thought I could get through it and realized they were too loud to often so I had to return them. Of course J&M customer service was awesome and great to work with as always. I wish these soles would have been different like other J&M shoes so I could purchase them again. Hope this helps.
