The twisted leather by the toe puts pressure on toe and hurts.

The leather on these shoes felt cheap and scratched really easily. I tried to break these shoes in for a couple of weeks before taking them on a trip to no avail. My feet were bleeding by the end of the first day of light walking. The straps rubbed the tops of my feet despite trying to adjust them. For this price point, my expectations were much higher. Thanks to Zappos for accepting the return.

The straps are too short, which leads to a lot of velcro being exposed. Looks very cheap.

I was so excited to try these sandals as the Taos brand is generally very comfortable. But, there is a huge design flaw with this style. The back strap is too short to reach the Velcro fastener. In addition, one back strap was a half inch shorter than the other sandal. Fix this problem and it would be a great sandal.

The strap is ridiculously short - the velcro didn't match up even a quarter inch. I do have a bit of a high instep, but this was almost laughably short. It's a shame as they are super cute and I've seen tons of ads for it, but I cannot imagine any foot that would be able to wear these. The sole was also a bit narrow, felt like the outer edge of my foot was overlapping out a bit.
