I have these in three colors but, this new style with the white sole and big buckle is NOT comfortable. Boo.

Loved these but they showed up with the leather already scuffed looking so they are going back.

The patent leather has no give and so does not accommodate a wider foot the way the soft leather does. I was surprised, but have to return them.

This is my 1st pair of Burkenstocks. The shoe is hard and just not comfortable fit. I was disappointed in the comfort of the sandal for what I paid. I do notice the ones I have are leather inside and the original are cloth. Not sure if that matters. Also maybe the thong as oppose to the over two straps across the foot. I know I don't want to spend another $100 dollars to find out.

These run narrow! I have other Gizeh’s in the same size and the big buckle run smaller / much narrower. Such a disappointment that Birkenstock cannot make their sizing consistent. Will be returning.

So disappointed with these. I poured over other reviews and couldn’t find a comment where someone said that the armpit fart sounds that the shoes make each time you take a step would dissipate once the shoes were broken in, and I wasn’t willing to chance it at this price point. I tried both the Gizeh and Arizona and the “issue” was the same. ? Such a shame because the buckles are lovely, I LOVE the leather upper and was looking for a true white. Extremely sad to send back. If the noise goes away after a break-in period, someone please post about this revelation!

I had to return. While I love the style, I was sent the last pair of size 40. One shoe was bright leather, and the other was dull and muted. On my feet, they look like two totally different shoes. I don't fault Birkenstock. The shoe is designed well. I fault Zappos on the quality of this last remaining pair.

I absolutely Love how these look! They are Beautiful - So many compliments. I am so disappointed - they make a sucking sound when walking because the leather insole sticks to my feet :( MMCHT... MMCHT... MMCHT... MMCHT... Mmcht... mmcht

the leather did not look like the same as the "same" Birkenstock shoe at Nordstrom or the Birkenstock store. Leather felt cheap and was not "oiled" at all. love the shoe though, I've owned the shiny black big buckle, same style and love love them.

As another review said, the “leather” over the footbed is most certainly not leather…feels like plastic. For that reason, they are being returned.

I have been wearing Birks since 1994. These are the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE shoe I have ever put on my feet. I am truly astounded at the quality of this shoe. I am no stranger to the fact Birks aren’t the softest, flexible shoe on the market. They must be broken in. These would break my feet if I had to wear them longer than one minute. I am very disappointed. They feel like wearing a steel plate, and the toe piece is equally hard and painful. Someone else wrote a similar review, and I ignored it. These will be getting returned asap. Also, the color is a very dull, light brown. The photo depicts a beautiful, deep, rich brown. These failed in every aspect.

The style is very cute, but on first wear, my feet feel very constrained to the shoe. natural foot movement whilst walking is awkward (think Charlie’s horse/cramp in foot bc your foot isn’t able to bend where it needs) the leather is not soft at all like my other Birkenstocks and the toe strap over time I imagine will cause blisters. Would like to return.

Only the left shoe arrived. I donated the right , with Zappos permission. $150.00 was supposed to be put back into my account, and a $25 credit in my account. Neither has happend. This shoe is still out of stock in my size. I wastill going purchase these shoe from the local Birkenstock dealer in Portland, where I always go, but was told Zappos was better...not true, sadly.

The worst fitting sandals I’ve ever tried on. The sole is a hard plastic and nothing like what the picture.

These would be perfect except the foot cover is placed too far back on the shoe. The edge closest to your leg digs into your ankle making it rub and dig when you walk. Very cute but clearly not tested.

The strap across the instep is too long unless you have a very high arch or a very chubby foot. I would love to buy several pairs of Big Buckle Gizehs if not for the longer length of strap over instep compared to six years ago.

Fit was great but the leather is so stiff and the plastic toe piece is horribly uncomfortable. Over priced for the quality of this sandal.

The piece between your toes is very hard and hurt my toes. I tried but I just could not wear them.

Extremely cute high quality sandal, the large strap jus would not let me put on the sandal, it hurt the top of my foot.

These sandals are very uncomfortable. The strap between your toes really hurts. I could barely walk in them. Not sure why this is. Bad design.

So disappointed in my first pair of Birkenstock sandals. I waited a few months to write this hoping that they would break in and the endless squeaking would stop. It has not. I sound like I am wearing a cheap pair of flip flops. They are adorable and comfortable, but the creaking noise is a deal breaker, especially at this price point.

OWWW! The biggest problem with these shoes was the design of the thing that separates the toes. It felt like sticking a sharp rectangular stick between my toes -- and then I was supposed to walk around in them. Not a chance. Also, I wasn't excited about the color. It was a drab pink.

Excess glue everywhere and the footbed feels "plasticky". So disappointed with the quality. For the price, it's NOT WORTH IT.
