This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. I’m excited for these to get broken in. I’ve been wearing them around the house with socks trying to soften the leather edge. I LOVE the look of them, but they’re definitely very stiff

I want to love these shoes SO badly, but just cannot. I am a true 7.5 & have now tried both the 38s and 39s. (I typically wear 38s in my other Birkenstock styles.) For these Arizona Big Buckles, the 38s are just a smidge too small and the 39s are too big. In addition to the length issue, the spot where the strap meets the base of your ankle/foot is extremely rigid and very uncomfortable. It would be blister city during the break-in period. Moreover, even after allowing for the typical time Birkenstocks require to mold to your foot, I can't imagine that this strap would ever "not" rub in that spot. I am so disappointed these are a no for me. They are incredibly cute :(

Loved big buckle and so wanted to love the shoe. But super scratchy and incredibly stiff leather. Felt like would take forever to break in and make lots of blisters in the process

Love the look, wish they had the soft footbed, honestly sacrificed some comfort for style 38 fits my 7.5 feet

I love the color and the price was great. I have a narrow foot, and even though I ordered narrow, after wearing them a few days, they have loosened and now feel way too wide. I guess that’s the nature of Birkenstocks, hard to find a pair that works for a narrow foot.

I have been a loyal birks wearing for the past couple years now. I live in my gold ones that are standard with but loved the green color of this new pair and the big buckle look. I was a bit leery that these only come in narrow but figured I would give it a try. So, I will say that I liked them enough to keep them and I do wear them, but they are not a comfy as my originals. I don't have a crazy wide foot, but the toe box for me in these narrow birks rub differently and were uncomfortable at first. I have not worn them a week and they do feel much better so hopefully with more wear then will be fine. I had a couple blisters and rubs that have since gone away. Just plan on breaking them in a bit before doing any real long walks. I do love them and will get use out of them.

I have several pair of Birkenstocks but this is my first pair of the Arizona style. I’m in my late 40’s and I think the Big Buckle style is more fitting for my age group. I fell in love with these, as well as the Gizeh Big Buckle (I bought those in white). I can wear them with a dress or with jeans and they look classy! My only complaint is I have a tailors bunion, which get aggravated when I wear them. None of my other Birkenstocks do this so it must be the Arizona style. I’m going to continue to wear them because they are just that beautiful! I wear a size 8 in shoes and can wear both a 38 and 39 in Birkenstocks. I got the 38 in these because the straps looked too long on the sides of the 39 after I adjusted the straps (I had to buckle them tighter).

I did not like the gold buckle. Too shiny and fake looking. I prefer the Madeira style.

I like the look. These are not as masculine as most in my opinion. I am a medium width and took a chance on these narrow being the only option. I'm glad I did, they are more than enough wide and adjustable. I'm usually an 8-8.5 and the 39 fit perfect. So far, they are living up to their reputation and super soft, comfortable, and great for those who need a more orthopedic type of shoe. If you have narrow feet, this is not the one for you fyi. Love them for me.

As along time Birkenstock fan I ordered this sandal because of its awesome color! Too, I really like the colorful soul of this sandal. However, this sandal was less than comfortable. In fact, I found the Nubuck to be downright stiff, rubbing with its steps rubbing over my arch and toes. I understand that some Birkenstocks need some time to be broken in, and, this may be the case with this sandal. However, since a soft bed sandal in the same color and in size was available in my size, I returned this particular pair. Overall, it is a great color and style. But plan on some break in time if you purchase it.

This is my FIRST Birkenstock purchase, from any vendor. And I have been warned it takes a while for them to contour to your feet…Heriberto, after several attempts I have found these to still be hard and uncomfortable. Furthermore, the leather is extremely SOFT and lends itself to being scratched easily. Nonetheless, the way that they look is exactly what I was hoping and was seen on the photos online.

Love the look but the straps are stiff and caused an immediate blister on the top of my foot. I assume they will soft up but out of the box they are not the most comfortable Birkies I’ve owned. That said, the color is adorable and more fashionable than the traditional sandals.

The Material did not feel as soft as the others. This will take a little time to get use to this material.

Fit and comfort are great. I just didn't care for the look of the big buckles on my foot. The materials and color are great. I have very narrow (AA) feet, and the buckles just looked silly in comparison. Too bad. I wish the blue were available in the standard design.

I wear a 7 shoe. I ordered a 7 / 7/12 and they were way too big. So I ordered a 6 / 6 1/2 and am hoping they fit. I love this sandal. They would have been my first ever Birkenstocks

The front buckle doesn’t have enough width. I will have to punch another hole in it. Otherwise, it is a good fit

Classy looking for a Birkenstock sandal. The shiny leather is stiffer than regular leather and will take more time to break them in, but I love them.

I purchased two colors black and orange nubuck. The black were longer than the orange! same size 42. Both were way too narrow and upon checking back they appear only to come in narrow? Very disappointed as I have been wearing Birkenstocks for years.

Okay,this is my first review ever and this are my first Birkenstock I got.I had to right this so I can help others with my experience.I bought this color and when I got them I was so disappointed.They were so uncomfortable and I called my friend to complain because she was the one who told me to get them.She told me that I have to breake them and then they going to be very comfortable.So I was going around the house wearing only them and still they were not comfortable and I returned the shoes.She told me to order another pair because to her something was wrong with the shoes.So I was embarrassed to order the same color and I ordered yellow.When I got them and tried them on, they were totally different.Very comfortable and I didn't had to break them at all.So then I returned yellow and got the color I ordered first time and they were great.So just so you know,if you really want to have this shoes do what I did,you never know.

I was afraid to buy these from the narrow width (always hit and miss with boris) but they fit perfectly. Takes a whole lot to break in but beauty is pain

I so wanted to love these sandals. The large buckle makes them look less like “dad’s shoes” and more feminine. However, I have bony feet and the buckle closest to my ankle, hits in an awkward spot and begins to ache the bridge of my feet after only a few minutes of wear, so they were returned.

I really like the look of these shoes. I've never had leather Birks before only the rubber/plastic ones which I use all of the time and have had several pairs of. But I wanted to get these. I love the white leather and the big silver buckle. I took a full size smaller in this style. The sales person advised that this Arizona style runs that way. Also, I tried on a broken-in pair at a department store. Broken-in the Birkenstocks feel comfortable but new, not so much! The Leather straps are quite stiff. If I was able to return after wearing them out of the house, I might have gone that route but I'm hoping they'll be worth the effort and feel softer and comfortable soon! I don't yet know how long, as I'm no there yet!

Big Buckle, Big Style-Love the look, not quite as comfortable as the nubuck, but broke nicely after a few wearings.

I love them but the straps hit me right in the bunions so they're going back. I'll stick with Mayari.

I ordered and returned 3 pairs of the this shoe. Ordered a narrow width, and each time it looked to me like it was a medium width as the "M" was after the size. Can't find any indication that this shoe is a narrow. If this Sandel is narrow, It is too wide and I will have to return them and look for another white sandel. Cameron was the customer service person I spoke with. He was so very helpful, and a pleasure to talk with. Is very professional and I'm sure is a great asset to Zappos.
